I just finished playing a few hours of EyePet for the new Playstation Move, and decided to make a quick video review. This game is a lot of fun and great for kids, it really is awesome to see this little guy projected right into your living room. Check out my video review to see everything with your own two eyes!

My daughter is 10 and has played this game more then 5 hours already and she loves it. My son is 12 and even he created his own pet. Its fun for the whole family and easy to play too! You need a Move controller and a PS3 camera to play. We went out and bought a white board today for all of the pictures she can draw and bring to life in the game. There's even trophies. The EyePet is showcasing just about everything the PS3 has as far as features and technology and the outcome is fun, fun, fun for your kid and very much for the rest of the family.Ours was only 17 days old at the time I wrote this and, since she hatched from her Eye egg, she ate lots of cookies, played with a dozen different toys, was used by our little girl as a bowling ball, jumped through hoops, took baths, played with our girls for hours, learned to draw, flew little airplanes chasing bubbles and, since it's our GIRL's pet, she changed tried out dozens of clothing items, changed the color, length, pattern and texture of her fur countless times. She took pictures, starred in videos and she kept our little girl engaged and happy. When she got tired she took a nap and she dreamed about all the fun times she had playing with our girl.
So... what is the EyePet about? It's mostly play, of course. Your kid will be using the Move controller that magically transforms itself into toys or tools as needed and sometimes she'll be using her own hands to interact with her custom-designed cutie. She will be drawing on paper or on screen with the Move controller. The pet has a mind of her own but she needs to be fed, groomed, educated, cared for and challenged and, the better care she gets the more fun and smarter she becomes. As challenges are met, the EyePet Central sends over more prizes usually clothing or toys and more challenges become available. And then, there is the PS3 magic. Your kid draws an airplane or a car on a piece of paper or directly on the screen with the Move controller and the 'blueprint' magically turns into the 'real thing' a car or an airplane that the pet can drive/fly and so on and so forth.
Then, there is the online dimension. If you are happy with the way your pet is dressed up and her overall style, it's okay to post her photo for all to see. You can even post a video and everybody else out there in the Eye Pet Net land can rate it if they like what they see.
Like I said, we just started our Pet adventure. Just by looking at the stats, there are 60 challenges, 202 prizes, 35 trophies... a lot. And you can have up to 4 different pets at any given time. Add to that downloadable content some of it free and it's a game meant to last.
The 5 stars I am rating this game are not mine. It's my 8 yr. old girl telling me that she loves her 'Cutie' (it's her pet's name) and Amazon's star count for "I love it" is 5.

Technical notes:
EyePet requires a Move Motion Controller and a PlayStation Eye. It will take 256MB or your disk space and the video resolution can be as high as 1080P. While it takes advantage of network connectivity to share pictures and video, it is a one-player game.
