I stumbled upon this game many years ago, when the 1st PS3 console came out. Downloaded the demo version directly to the PS3 and I was immediately hooked. It was pretty tough to get the whole game back then, and even if I'd been able to buy a physical disc I probably wouldn't have paid $52 bucks for it... anyway not sure how much it cost but I ended up being able to download it and boy was that fun.
The game includes real-life maps (NYC as an example) with alien like zombies. The target to this game is to get "x" number of survivors into the escape zone within the timeframe the game gives you (usually 3 minutes I think). First levels are easy as you get used to the gameplay etc.
You see everything from a satellite view mostly, but you can zoom a little, you also have sort of a night vision view that will let you know where the highest concentration of survivors are so you can go rescue them, but there's a catch while on this mode, you can't see the zombies that are walking around so they can take you or someone in your group. As you advance in levels and your skills progress so does the zombie's level, they come out with whole new tricks and smaller spaces for you to run by making it very difficult to meet your target sometimes.
Overall it'll be a game I highly recommend for adults as I think it might be boring for a kid but a must in any serious collector's collation ;)
