I'm sorry, but this was the worst money I've ever spent on something for my PS3. I get the thing. Charge it. Plug in the USB stick and nothing happens. All I get is a green flashing light on the keyboard (which tells me it's charged) and a red blinking light on the USB stick. Not only that, I went to pull the stick out of the USB slot and the end cap broke off. I can't get this thing to work.

I think it may have something to do with the version of USB it uses, because I'm getting nothing. Save yourself the trouble and spend the extra $20 on a Sony brand.

This keypad doesn't work. The dongle will flash red and you will have a green light on the keypad as you furiously try to type. Nothing will happen. SAVE YOUR MONEY. This item is absolute garbage. Not to mention, the "Outlet" selling it will charge you for shipping on the return. I will likely spend well over $40 on shipping back and forth for all the replacement units I'm going through because they will not give refunds.

I love playing around on Playstation Home. The onscreen keyboard interface takes me a long time to type out simple messages. Because of that, I decided to purchase a keypad. The $40 for Sony's keypad seemed a bit steep, so I purchased this brand instead. Boy do I regret that decision. After reading these reviews, I faithfully charged up the keypad for a full 24 hours so that I wouldn't have any problems. Well... the keypad *does* work as long as I don't want to type any words with the letters "a," "w," "h," "e," or "l." For those letters, I need to go into the game keyboard which totally defeats the purpose of a keypad attached to my controller.

Even for this price the keypad is a piece of junk and not worth the overall hassle. After waiting the week for it to arrive, 24 hours to charge, and $20 price tag... it makes me wish I hadn't been cheap and just spend the extra $20, gone to Target, and had a well-designed quality product on the same day that I wanted it.

I have noticed that there were no customer reviews for this product at the time I purchased it so I decided to take a gamble and purchase this product instead of spending more money to buy Sony's Playstation 3's Wireless Keypad PlayStation 3 Wireless keypad I thought Sony's was too expensive, overrated, and had some negative reviews anyway!

The Wireless Keypad/Keyboard by Blazepro also had no customer reviews, was just as expensive as Sony's and seemed just too bulky! Wireless Keypad Keyboard for Sony Playstation 3 PS3

Then there was the PS3/Wii Portable Keyboard by CTA PS3/Wii Portable Keyboard which also seemed bulky, needed batteries to operate and comes with a Plastic adapter mount for the PS3 Sixaxis controller which would probally break shortly after some extended usage.

I would reccomend this particular PS3 Wireless Keyboard by Hyperkin above the as forementioned products. The keypad is QWERTY like SONY's keypad. The keys are blacklight and clearly legible. Keys are small, but supposely not as small as Sony's keypad. The price is reasonable! (About half the price of Sony's keypad) It fits well on the PS3 Sixaxis controller without being too bulky or cumbersome. It still maintains full gameplay functionality. I found that I don't really need to take it off and put it back on because it is light weight and doesn't interfere with the Sixaxis controller so I usually just leave in on when gaming or for internet purposes on the PS3. Rechargeable battery only takes 5-10 minutes to charge when needed.

Overall this is surprisingly a good product in my book. Hyperkin is a reputable company. I have brought a Hyperkin product previously like Hyperkin Nintendo Wii Glide Wireless Controller for my Nintendo Game cube and am satisfied with the purchase. Nintendo Wii Glide Wireless Controller You will also be satisfied with buying this PS3 Wireless Keyboard by Hyperkin through Amazon. The price is reasonable and I feel beats out the competition among other wireless keypads for the PS3.

*Cons: Comes with No instruction manual. Takes a little while to get used to it if using a wireless keypad for the first time for the PS3. The eternet cable it comes with it to charge it is much too small! So I use the eternet cable which origanally comes with Sony's PS3 Sixaxis controller instead which works out fine!

*Please note that my friend had alot of difficulty with this product and rather go with SONY's keyboard instead. He thinks that this product which he purchased may be defective while buying this product new! Again it does not help to have no product support with this product. I contacted Hyperkin myself and they told me that they no longer even have a downloadable instruction manual for this product.

Let me know if you too are having problems with this product, if so I will edit this review again to let people know that there have been problems with it and to look into buying SONY's keyboard instead because that would be the next prouct that I reccomend instead of this without having purchased it and experienced it hands on for myself.
