It took just about 5 hours of play to get used to the game format, I'm glad I hung in there because I'm really enjoying this game, as it has a different take on JRPG! You only take control of the female lead and have no party members save your pet. Some things to note:

1. Visuals.

Hand drawn cell type animation is really beautiful! I am drawn to the beautiful girls! I wish they had drawn the dragon a bit cooler but he's more like a pokemon I suppose. At first the charaters seem to move a bit quirky and the sometimes the body movements seem jumpy and unnecessary. Again, as I played it only gave this game it's own feel and I really didn't notice all that much after a few hours.

2. Voice Acting.

English Voice:. Normally I feel like the women voices tend to be painful and but this time around the main character voices are done well. Unfortunately the lead male character's voice almost made me stop playing. He gets better and more natural as the story progresses, hearing him during the intro was just awkward and was almost enough to stop me from playing! Luckily I kept playing and now I don't know if I'm just used to it or he did really get better.

Japaneses Voice: If you watch Anime, you will recognize pretty much ALL the voice actors right away! This game is packed with high profile voice actors! It's actually really impressive. Just hearing Hanazawa Kana (HanaKana) as Toki blew me away, and Kitamura Eri as Towa... seriously it's an A-list seiyu cast. Seriously.

3. Game Play! (so far)

Travel.

It's pretty unique. You play from a 3rd person perspective following behind Toki or Towa and the dragon is close in view. Takes a little getting used to and the controls probably could have been more fluid but I'm thinking they did this to preserve the limited amount of cell type animation they had for the character running. Again after a while you get a used to it and it's no big deal, it's more to get from point A to point B.

4. Battles.

Battle consists of Real Time button mashing combined with timed movements and strategic skill usage as some skills take time to execute. The learning curve is tough only at the very beginning because there has been no other game that I have played that used these types of controls. Luckily after several battles you get the hang of everything pretty quickly and the curve levels over pretty dramatically. The challenge comes when fighting new enemies and finding their attack patterns. Let's see what they have in store as the game progresses.

5. Story.

The story is actually pretty funny. Even though the actual theme is pretty heavy, (assassinated on your wedding day and going back in time to try to stop said assassination) I would say the way it's playing out has more of a comedy aspect than I would have expected. It actually doesn't take itself too seriously. Reminds me vaguely of Disgaea type humor maybe? I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, the story, while having such a dark theme, it's pretty interesting to watch play out. You have to keep in mind that it took me a while to figure out that some characters are not treated very seriously and they are portrayed that way as well. While I thought some interactions seemed out of place, some of the dialog actually had me laughing.

Results so far? At first I was asking myself "what did I buy?" I came to really like it. I don't think this one will go down as one of the most epic JRPG's ever (it has time to prove me wrong) but I'm actually looking forward to playing it when I get the chance! I think that's all that matters.

I was on the fence about getting this game, but I am actually glad I picked it up. The combat is enjoyable and the animation is well done, she even has a win quote after every battle that's not annoying. The main character Zack (or any name you choose) is an annoying pervert however, but you probably already knew that. It is a unique experience, especially for those who have played games like Dragon's Lair just for the animation effect. So, I am glad to see the first modern day animated game (and probably the last) to be translated into english.

The Story only gets one star, but the experience gets a good four stars from me.

I dunno, people seem to either love it or hate it. Personally I enjoyed it, its definitely got some unique, new elements both graphically and gameplay-wise that will either turn you off or appeal to you. As someone who's played video games for 20+ years, i ALWAYS enjoy something that's different/unique over something that is a clone of something else i've probably played a dozen times over.

A couple of people have done some in depth reviews so I'd just like to toss out my quick perspective. I currently have several hours into this game and I can honestly say I love it! I am a very big fan of anything JRPG with anime in it. This game is beautiful, the hand drawn animation is just wonderful to look at. The combat system is interesting with the use of either a riffle or knife depending on if you are using Toki or Towa. I'm not sure what the exact style of the combat engine is but I personally consider it to be real time.

The game is broken up into missions that you go out and complete. When you come back you always end up at the table in Toki's house with her friends. This part of the game is very much styled like a Japanese PC Doujin game. With the use of a still shot picture where the character might move to a new position. You can talk to each person at the table and that opens up missions you can complete.

I've seen complaints about every aspect of this game and I am sure most of them are valid, maybe all of them. One thing I will admit that the animation seems a little awkward at times in terms of how the characters move. While the group is at the table Toki tends to change position a lot or sometimes her walking or standing movements just aren't fluid. Although I noticed these things they just didn't bother me enough to affect my enjoyment of the game.

I personally loved the story as well as the music. Maybe it's just because this is my kind of game, but I'm very happy with this game and I hope I will have time to see it through to the end. If you are a big anime fan, enjoy JRPGs with anime graphics, or like PC Doujin games this game is worth checking out.

I bought this adapter because I own a pretty big collection of PS2 games, and I already put away my PS2 for extra space. What am I going to use it for? Very niche titles that few of you will care.

First, obvious compatibility that most will care about is the Guitar Hero guitars for GH3 and RB. They work. Not 100%, but work. However don't expect it to work again on future GH titles since Activion is a money hungry-portholic-jackass and probably will change their game codes so this adapter won't work. Who knows?

Second, dual shock 2 also works well for PS2 and PS3 games. No tilting for sixaxis-supported PS3 titles, obviously.

Ok so the first and second part of my review are obvious ones that everyone else already talked about. My main test subjects for this review are

Taiko Drummaster, Beatmania, Pump it up, DDR, Tekken arcade stick, Street Fighter 15th anniversary controller by Nubytech, and Saturn PS2 controller.

Taiko Drummaster-Game only recognizes the drum as the dualshock2 controller. What this means is that you can't use the drum to navigate the menu, but WILL work once the song starts. All I could do was to use the controller, pick a song, pause, and then switch back to drum in order to play the game.

Beatmania-Game has an option to choose either controller or turntable controller. I pick turntable, and the controller works perfectly fine.

Pump it up-It works well

DDR-DOES NOT WORK. If it works, there might be lags. Sorry for the confusion.

Tekken arcade stick-It works, but I read somewhere that there are few millisecond lags for joystick inputs. Doesn't affect average Tekken/VF player like me, but experts might.

SF 15th anniversary edition controller pad by Nubytech-Tested with SF Anniversary Collection, and it works fine.

Saturn PS2 controller-My main reason for buying the converter was to use this controller for my fighting games like KoF and SF on my PS3. It was bit of a gamble since this controller is an import, but to my surprise it WORKS!!!

In conclusion, this converter does a pretty good job of letting you use most of the PS2 controllers for PS2/PS3 games on PS3.

This converter worked fine until I've updated my system to 2.7. Now it's nothing more than paper weight. Good thing I didn't update my system while this thing was plugged in! I hear a lot of people bricked their PS3's and had to FORMAT all their saved games...

As another poster has mentioned, a newer PS2 controller revision H does not appear to work at all. I found an older controller, and that worked, except that R2 didn't work for a driving game, so that is limiting. I also have a Logitech wireless controller, and that seemed to work perfectly! This was all with system version 2.60.

Note that I'm not using it for one of it's biggest features, using the PS2 guitar controllers.

I upgraded the PS3 system software to version 2.70, and now the TAC adapter locks up my PS3 when I plug it in, as a previous reviewer mentioned. (Also, as that previous poster mentioned, do not have this adapter plugged in while updating the system software!) So, it looks like it won't work at all, now. Until updating the system software, it looked like it was going to be good enough, as I'd just use it with the Logitech controller, but this seems like a real problem.

Works perfectly (so far). Star power even works like it is supposed to.

Some of the other reviews said that you had to use the select button, but

this is not true--at least with MY guitar (Gibson). My wife said that she

thinks there may be a small lag, but I cant say that I have noticed it.

If you bought a 80gb PS3 like I did--and have been tearing your hair out

because the console will PLAY your old Guitar Hero games but your guitar

doesnt work--then this is your salvation :)

TAC deserves some kind of award for creating something that Sony should

have built INTO the 80gb PS3 if they were going to claim

'backward compatability' for the Guitar Hero Series; Who wants to play

GUITAR HERO with a controller?

*NOTE: You may need to reassign controller IDs so that you have an empty

slot for 1A (thats where your guitar needs to be located). You will also

need to keep a normal controller handy, as you will need it to exit the

games (PS2 guitars dont have the nifty little PS3 button).

Rock On!

Want Universal PS2 to PS3 Controller Adaptor Discount?

I'm guessing that most people are interested in this item for the same reason I was: to play PS3 Rock Band with a PS2 Guitar Hero controller. To cut to the chase, I plugged it in and it worked perfectly.

As a side note, I've been letting my 2-year-old play with the PS2 GH guitar for a while now, and it still works. Good luck trying that with the Rock Band guitar. :)

I also used it to play Guitar Hero 1 for the PS2 on my PS3 (note that it's a 60GB PS3, which is hardware-compatible with PS2 games). It worked, but it initially recognized the guitar as controller #2, even though I turned on the console by inserting the game disc and didn't activate my PS3 controller. It was seeing the BD/DVD remote as controller #1. I pressed the PS3 button on the remote and changed it to controller #2, and presto, the guitar became controller #1 and worked fine.

There are only two minor issues that kept me from awarding this five stars:

1. The controller number LEDs don't work. (The connection LED does.) I don't care enough to mail it back for a replacement.

2. The included documentation is feeble. I had to check the online FAQ to figure out why GH1 wasn't working at first. The information in the package should have been more clear.

So, to sum up, the doc is poor and the build quality may be questionable, but the product does what it's supposed to and does it very well.

Mainichi Communications Tencho no Igo for PS3 is awesome! It only has 5 trophies to achieve by defeating level 3, 2, 1 kyu and beating the full game. If you go through story mode you'll get all the trophies. The game's hard but it's the best Go game I ever played.

The game has a story-mode, not actually a story-mode because there is no story (but lets call it that anyway). The game let you play as an insei. The weakest the AI is 10 kyu. You start at 10 kyu and play your way through a dan player. If you're a 10 kyu you have to fight against another 10 kyu and win 3-times then fight against an AI opponent in the final round. If you win the final round you get to move on to 9 kyu and face new opponents, if you lose, you have to start over until you win 4 times in a role. Each character you play will give you handicap but the final round you fight without handicap. Once you win you go to the next stage and fight new characters and repeat the same process. Sometimes you may get to a higher level, say 5 kyu, and fight against the same anime character you fought when you were at 10 kyu, this gives the illusion that the AI character also gets stronger and is catching up to you. When you get to dan level you'll see professional characters dress up in suits and old man that look like characters from Hikaru-no-go.

This game also has Go problems to solve and Joseki to practice and downloadable content that can only be bought through a Japanese account. The option in the game are all in Japanese but easy to understand, Here it is in order-

1 Load game

2 Save game

3 Load a game and review a load game or play freely, (choose a level AI or board size or 1 or 2 players.)

4 Play story mode 1you can skip to the final stagedan level but it best to start at the beginning(Play this mode and get 1 to 4 trophy)

5 Play story mode 2the same but you don't see pictures of the character you play (Play this mode to get the last trophy)

6 Go problems

7 Go problems

8 Go problems

9 Go problems

10Play free style (you make and edit your own game. You can switch to play only black stones or white. You can place your stone down and change the color at any time without a redo.)

11 load game (Don't understand why there is 2...yet)

12 Game Option (allows you to turn music or talking off and other stuff, that I do not mess with.)

That's your game option. The game is all in Japanese and if you can't read Japanese you can listen, you can tell if you won by what it (she) says, if you speak Japanese, that is. The game talks every time you place a stone, this is what it says-

When it first starts you'll hear a female voice sayOnegaishimasu

When you place a black stone down she'll sayKuro san no sanmeans black on 3-3 line

Shiro juusan no nanawhite on 13-9 line but you have to know your numbers in Japanese to understand that. It's best just to understand Shiro-white and kuro-black, because at the end she'll call out the stone that lost.

Shiro (WHITE) Kuro (BLACK) no (something something) marimashita (White or black resigm or lost) It's hard to understand her sometimes but the color she says are clearly pronounce. If you can't understand, just look at the chart after the game. It has a cycle and if that cycle is filled white it means you lost if its transparent means you won, if it has a kanji character means you pass that level.

The game is awesome and I play it nonstop. It can be difficult to understand at first but you get used to it. I still don't know what most option do but I don't mess with`em so if anyone decide on getting it don't hesitate. Only con I have is that there is no online-mode where you can play against other people but the AI keeps you well satisfy, it's a wonderful game. If you're going to get it,seriously, the best place to buy this game is from Samurai Japan. You be surprise of their service,it's the best place to buy imported games online, period! You can thank me later. Gombatte Kudasai

The component cables experience for the PS2. High-Quality games like Resident Evil 4 with progressive scan look visibly sharper and more vibrant and you can make out more detail especially in distant objects and text. Unfortuantely, it has an issue where I lose video for a moment every now and then. I cannot comment on the supplied HDMI cable. However, it does seem like an added-value having one.

Even without progressive, it the component cable makes a difference. I put in Fantastic 4 and looked at the bonus content comic-book covers have readable text now. It is interesting they put the detail in the game but the standard cables can't take advantage of it. I also fund the motion to be significantly improved (even without progressive). Some of the Chopping or frame-loss I thought was a result of the PS2's hardware limitations was resolved with the upgraded cables!

The trouble came with losing video occasionally. I lose the signal (resulting in a completely black screen) about once every 1/2 hour to hour for about 3 seconds with the cable. Truthfully, it is not that bad. I just look at it like one more enemy in the game. But when my friends come over to play, one of them really complains about it. He says it is terrible and ruins his chance to play his best. He says I should just use the stock composite cables and not look back.

So I love the cables, but my friend crabs at me :p

Can't really say much about a cable, but honestly for the price, I expected a minimal to non-existent improvement, but holy cow was I wrong. The difference between using this cable and the supplied AV cable is literally out of this world. AND it comes with a free HDMI cable, which, between it and my other HDMIs, some of which are "high quality name brands", I can tell no difference.

Ok.. I realize it was cheap and didn't expect it to be thick gauge or super high quality but... did expect it to work. Have tried playing with the wires to check if its just a simple short and did get a very distorted, off color image for a second but then nothing again.

Sure these cables worked for my ps3, and they allowed me to go up to 1080i, my tv doesnt have 1080p.

However these cables will give off very bright tones of colors, making it seem like your tv's contrast is too high when it is not, no matter how much I tried to adjust every setting of my tv/ps3 nothing worked. No matter what you do details will be lossed, and they are bright enough to hurt my eyes. They even made some of my text unreadable. Thus I had to return back to my composite RCA cables which gave me accurate colors, and much better picture when I was only at 480i. I will be looking for other high quality cables.

The HDMI cables I cannot review as my tv's insert for hdmi is broken.

Want Premium High Resolution Component AV Cable + HDMI Cable Discount?

Bought these cables only to find out that the red wire of the component cable doesn't display at all. I tried multiple tv's and a variety of other solutions, all of which failed.

I would suggest going to a different manufacturer for a PS3 component cable.

I don't like giving out too many 1 star reviews, most really bad games deserve 2 stars, and I almost did, so we will call it a 1.5 star review.

When I first saw this game I thought hey that's almost like Downhill Domination from the ps2 days, mixed with Pure, Looks good. I played the first track in a GameStop, it was fun. Bought the game played a bit and started shaking my head.

I'm ok with the concept, no real physics, ridiculous drops and insane tracks, steering in the air, but!!!!

The game is so inconsistent, you crash for no reason (literally), and don't crash driving full speed in to a rock face. And the boost blur in an awful gray scale, mashed up with `speed lines' all around the screen causes a major impedance in seeing where the hell the track is, and then you crash for no reason again. And again. And again...

As for the multiplayer, there is none, oh yes it says it on the box, and there is even a multiplayer menu to select quick race or whatever but I have never once seen anybody playing online.

Speaking of menus, when you unlock a new part to "upgrade" your ATV or bike, it doesn't tell you what that part is, so you have to look through every menu in the parts upgrade thing just to find out it's a new set of tires that you won't use anyway.

All in all, I got sick of driving over a pebble and crashing, or not hitting anything and crashing or not crashing when I totally should have, and then getting stuck, loosing valuable time when I could have been crashing.

Unplayable, you are a trooper if you make it all the way through, it's not impossible just a big waste of time, just play Pure or pray someone makes a Downhill Domination 2.

I bought this game without any reviews what a mistake that was...unrealistic physics, no crash sequence ,annoying re-spawn splash screen, game play is tedious at best and stays that way, dated motor sounds(resembles a child blowing raspberrys seriously!! they couldn't do better?? really??) I will say the graphics are outstanding though but that's not enough to redeem it. I bought it for Christmas and I'm already getting rid of it.

Nail'd is a decent game in a field of excellent competitors. The game itself is fun in the beginning but starts to wear thin a little quicker than most. After about 30 minutes of gameplay you start to notice all the missing polish on both the audio and graphical side of things. I had an extremely bad problem with textures and audio cut outs. That being said they did get other things right, mainly the tracks, which are extremely fun to drive around. I would recommend this game as long as you can pick it up for a reasonable price

I will have to say as the other reviewers that this game is absolutely unplayable on PS3. Now PC is a different story, its a lot of fun, yet nothing to new. This has to be the worst ported game in the history of the PS3, the frame rate is so bad you get a headache from all the jagged movements. The graphics are so washed down it looks like a PS2 game. I'm not understanding why they took a mediocre game and put it on PS3 to make it an Atrocity. Even the 360 version is pretty good, the demo i played that is. I warned a friend of mine not to get this for PS3, via the demo i played on it(i literally thought there was something wrong with my system), he wouldnt listen, now he's out 50 bucks. I actually downloaded mine for PC, and you can play using one hand, just the w, s, a, and d, and boosting with shift. So on PC the game is pretty decent, this version omg, a total embarrassment for the PS3. This game should be taken off the shelves for PS3, and discounted for PC, and 360 at least. I can't even see how they tested it and released it. Oh well.

I bought this on the online store. This is one of the games I put when people come to my house, just because of the sweet 60fps graphics and the powerful 5.1 music. The actual gameplay is difficult, making it more for hardcore gamers, but it's fun to play with a friend in split-screen mode. I just wish it had 4-player split screen.

After enjoying the powerful sound and music of Wipeout HD, listening to the poor sound in Modnation Racers is just painful...

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

Before starting this review, I should mention that I purchased the downloadable version of this game from the PlayStation Network. I did not purchase the disc version. The version I have contains the full game (not just the demo version).

Wipeout HD is a racing game based on pure speed. It is NOT a kiddie-type racing game like Mario Kart. But it's also not nearly as serious as games like the Gran Turismo series. It's probably closer to F-Zero in terms of gameplay, but with far more events to compete in.

There are about 12 racing teams to choose from. Some of them, such as Icaras, have a very high top speed. Others like Triakis, have a sturdier exterior that allows them to sustain more damage before crashing out. Each racing team has several alternative skin ships you can unlock by accomplishing various feats in the game. Each ship handles differently, so part of the replay value involves trying all the ships so you can find what works best for you.

Here are the events you can compete in:

Single Race: True to its name, you will compete against 7 other racers to see who can cross the finish line first. How many laps you go (3-5) depends on the speed class you select. Venom is for beginners. Flash is for intermediates. Rapier is for experienced racers. Phantom is for experts.

Speed Lap: The goal of this event is to race the fastest lap possible. You get 99 laps to play with. This is a good way to practice a track many times without having to select it on the main menu.

Time Trial: Think of this as a Single Race event without any rival racers or weapons. The goal is to race 3-5 laps as fast as you can.

Detonator: Think of this as F-Zero meets Roadblasters (the old NES game). Various bombs are scattered over the track and your job is to blast them away with your cannon as the ship goes faster and faster each lap.

Eliminator: This is the demolition derby event in which you get points by destroying other ships with your weapons. The faster you can destroy rival ships, the more points you accumulate. Once you reach the target number of points, the event ends.

Zone: This is a neverending event that tests your reflexes. You will go around the same track over and over again, but every 10 seconds your ship will get a little bit faster. This leads to some really high speed classes that you cannot select in the main menu, such as Zen, Subsonic and Mach1. This event ends when your ship sustains too much damage.

Zone Battle: This event is like a combination of Zone and Eliminator. Your speed will gradually get faster, but you can increase your rate of speed significantly by running over speed pads and charging up a power meter. You can decide to use your power meter to restore ship energy and give yourself a shield, or you can use it to permanently increase your speed class and gain "zone points." Increasing your zone points will create a permanent zone barrier obstacle that can only be destroyed if another ship crashes into it (at the expense of a lot of ship energy and zone points). First one to reach the target zone point threshold wins the event.

Campaign Mode: This consists of a series of racing events on a set list of tracks. There are 16 racing campaigns, each consisting of multiple individual racing events. In order to unlock other racing events within a racing campaign, you need to place in the top 3 of a race or meet the criteria for at least the bronze medal in an adjacent event. Campaign Mode can be extended by altering the difficulty of the events (novice, skilled and elite). The tracks range from the high speed simplicity of Anulpha Pass to the twisty and technically demanding Chenghou Project.

There are several fun powerups you can use to boost your speed, attack rival ships, or increase your ship energy. These powerups can be obtained by flying over red panels on the ground. Be advised that sometimes these panels are placed right next to green speed panels, which means you sometimes have to choose whether you want a speed boost or an item. This requires the tactical use of powerups. It's clearly not a game of button mashing like other games geared for younger people.

Wipeout HD also has an online component, allowing you to race against others if you can access the internet. At the time of this writing, the online mode is a bit buggy because of recent updates that were brought about to improve compatibility between PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game. But it is playable. I will still give this game five stars because it does just about everything else flawlessly. The speeds are high, the music perfectly catches the mood, the graphics are beautiful, and the action is intense. Throw in a ton of racing events to suit all sorts of enthusiasts and you have the quintessential racing game.

Buy Wipeout Fury Hd Playstation 3 Now

I've been playing this series since it's initial release on the PS1 and Sega Saturn back in 1995 [holy crap that was 18 years ago!]. While the original Wipeout is extremely dated and more or less owned for nostalgic/collectible reasons, the sequels just kept getting better and better, for the most part.

Wipeout XL/2097 was for me, the pinacle of the series. It was the fastest racer I have ever played with the most solid soundtrack, and when you go to the Pirhana Class, it was downright ridiculous. The upgraded weapons with the ability to put a code in to change the ships to things like a shark, a bumble bee, and a pickle flying a space ship that has a minigun with endless ammo just sealed the deal.

Wipeout 3 [Wip3out]was a great sequel with updated camera positions, new game mechanics, and the overall feel of the tracks altered. The corkscrew in the mall was a very nice addition as was the weapon changes and teh ability to grapple another ship and steal its shield. The soundtrack was done by Sasha with exclusive tracks written just for the game. It featured other talent like Chemical Brothers, Propellerheads and Orbital.

Wipeout64 was more or less a spinoff of WipeoutXL. It was a really well executed effort considering the hardware they had to work with. The game itself felt like it lacked any soul even with fairly good track design and a soundtrack sporting Fluke and Propellerheads. It wasn't a bad game by any measure, but it was noticeably limited in what a cart could do versus a Cd.

Wipeout Fusion sucked. It was a futuristic racing game that had the Wipeout name slapped on it. It didn't feel like any of the previous games and it was glaringly different in almost every aspect. Screw this game.

Wipeout Pure and Wipeout Pulse were released on the PSP system of which I do not own and have never played either of them.

Wipeout HD/FURY: When this game came out I was EXTREMELY happy. I had been looking forward to this since WO3 and from what I had heard/seen about it, this was going to be a true spiritual successor. This game lived up to every bit of my expectations. The track design is solid with a learning curve hard enough for the seasoned player to become frustrated but with the drive-assist it would keep novices on track to keep going. The weapon selection is well done with more or less a collection of the previous games weapons. The addition of Racing Zone where it is just you racing in a heavily saturated cell shaded dream like zone where the object is just not to blow up. You race around the track getting faster and faster with each lap, and the 'zone' changes speed and layout colors as you progress. You have no brakes, and you get no power ups.

There are several new teams added to the mix as well as the original group giving you quite a selection to browse through. Each Team has unlockable ships after a certain amount of use. These ships have upgraded attributes like shields and better steering.

You can take a snapshot of your ship after you cross the finish line and edit the photo as well as far as color saturation, focus point, angle etc. You can use this as a background for your PS3 if you like.

The music is decent. There is a varied mix of talent on the soundtrack with people like Ed Rush & Optical, DJ Fresh, Stanton Warriors, Kraftwerk and Noisia. But now, if you wanted to, you can load your own music from your PS3 hard drive which is fantastic.

Wipeout Fury is DLC released to compliment HD. It sported new ship models, new tracks [all borrowed from the Pure and Pulse games] and new music from Noisia, Crystal Method and Two Fingers. It was more or less an entire game in itself more than it was an Add On.

This game is well worth the purchase if you are at all a fan of the series or if you just like racing games with weapons. The graphics are sharp, the game play is well tailored to fit the needs of whomever is at the controls and the replay value is high.

I actually got this as the playstation download version, so I don't have this "complete" version. But I do feel like I can say with some authority that this game sucks.

I still play Wipeout Fusion on my PS2 & it's one of my favorite games, so I thought I would love the PS3 version wrong! This game goes beyond challenging to nearly impossible. I spent a couple hours just trying to place on one of the 2 (yes, only 2) tracks you get to start with & could never get anything but last place, no matter which ship I used (even when I found the shortcuts). They also only give you the crappiest, most worthless weapons to start, so they're no help in getting ahead. While the previous Wipeout titles also started you off small & had challenges to get past, at least you could make it past a few of them before getting frustrated at hitting a wall. Now I'm sure that eventually, I could possibly get over the walls in this game, but I have no desire to play the same two tracks over & over & over again (& then some more) just to get to a 3rd track & do it all over again not when there are much better games I could be wasting my precious free time on.

For me, the worst part of having bought this game is that I downloaded it, so I can't even sell it for a few bucks (or even cents) to get some of my money back. Beyond the graphics, this game's got nothing it is literally the worst game I've ever played.

It's a light show. The good and the bad of these recharging stations, they all have bright lights.

This Move Charge Station can charge any combination of up to 4 Move controllers White Controller and / or the Navigation Controller. Doesn't matter what combination, they will all charge. Clear plastic receptacle for each controller has a slot in the back to accommodate the wrist strap and there are simple gold plated contacts in the bottom to do the charging. No need to push the controller onto a USB adapter, the contacts are spring loaded and work when you just set the controller into the socket.

The light show is pretty amazing. With no controllers in the base and the power button turned on, there is a pretty blue glow across the bottom of the base. Put in a controller and that light turns off, and the plastic glows red (like you see in the product picture). You'll notice the controller LED flashing red while the unit charges. Once the controller is fully charged, the plastic socket turns white.

This unit is so much better than the overpriced two controller Sony version.

I'm so glad we have this station. Constantly plugging in the USB connector to charge these things was a real pain in the neck. Nyko did a very nice job building this. The base looks nice and it works well. The addition of a power switch is very responsible of them. The charging contacts may get finicky over time, but for the moment they work very well.

I have the Nyko quad charging station for the Wii controllers. I have had it for over a year and it works like a charm, so it was a no-brainer for me to order this one for the PS3 Move. I like how easy it is to drop in the wands for charging. In an improvement over the design of the Wii, the Move charging station includes slots at the back of each "charging tube" so the cord does not get in the way. You can charge any combination of wands and navigation controls. There is a power switch on the front and it plugs into a wall from the back. The material is hard plastic and stylish.

When the controllers are charging, the charging "tubes" turn red. When charging is finished, they turn white. A blue light at the front of the charger indicates that the unit is turned on.

PROS:

Very easy drop-in feature to charge wands

Bright indicator lights for charging status

Stylish unit that is fairly compact.

Can charge any combination of wands and navigation controllers at the same time.

Made by Nyko.

CONS:

Very hard to get the navigation controllers to line up in the tube with the recharging connectors you will have to do a bit of rotating to get the loud click and the light to come on.

Lights might be a bit bright if you were to set this up directly under your TV. I would recommend moving it to a place that it out of the line of sight.

Overall, I would have given it 4.5 stars, only because of the slight difficulty to get the navigation controls to line up on the first try in the charging "tube". However, this really isn't that big of a deal for me. We haven't used the nav controllers that much yet the wands need the most frequent charging.

Great Christmas Decoration!

PROS:

4 port, price competitive. Gorgeous! Makes a beautiful red/white, bright LED lighted Christmas decoration!

Seriously, it works well. Attractive 4 Port cradle that charges 4 move controllers or navigators (in any combination). It's a bit hard to get excited about a PS3 controller battery charger, but this one from NYKO works well. It's a little difficult inserting a controller with a wrist strap attached, to make contact with the base properly as you have to pull the strap tight from the bottom and up the back before inserting it in the charger, but it does what it's supposed to do, and can keep up to 4 controller's batteries topped off and ready to play.

CONS:

Not a true con, But I wonder who designs these things..? When I un-boxed it, I was almost afraid to TOUCH it without putting on white cotton gloves first, as the base is meticulously mirror finished in typical black piano luster, with a silvery chrome mirror finish trim on the sides. The 4 clear plastic holders remind me of crystal chandelier goblets atop the finest sterling silver and black onyx serving platter, fit for royalty. Then plug it in, and it lights up with beautiful red and white LED's and indirect lighting!

Did I just describe a battery charger? Yes... That's my point. This charger works just fine, no problems there. But who in the world designs these things? This one looks like it should go atop a concert grand piano as a center piece for Liberace (unless you're a parent of a PS3 gamer you probably don't even know who he was...) Point is: The design and mirror finish is absolutely beautiful! But come on..., for a battery charger? There is NO WHERE to touch or hold this thing which you often need to do when inserting or removing a controller in it's cradle, without leaving finger prints and smudges!

Practical? Only as long as you keep a microfiber cloth handy to polish it along with your sterling silver flatware for entertaining holiday guests! The designers should be awarded for the most beautiful PS3 charger I've seen, but they really needed some sort of matte, non finger print area to touch and steady it when inserting and removing controllers, without causing extra polishing work for the butler and the maid.

The only other con I can think of, it that it does not lend itself to be used on an entertainment stand or shelf, unless it's the TOP shelf, as you need 18-24 inches clearance to insert and remove the controllers, especially the ones in the back.

I would still purchase this one over the SONY 2 port model for roughly the same price.

So right off the bat, no, I have not tried EVERY PS Move charger there is out there as there are many, but this Nyko charger seemed the best deal for the most punch. I mean, think about it it is one of the very FEW PS Move chargers that has 4 ports which could charge any Move controller interchangeably (as in, up to 4 motion controllers or 4 navigation controllers, or mix n' match). Another thing that attracted me was its look, kinda has this cool "tube" thing going on, and looks like it can solidly hold any of the controllers. It also uses light indicators to let you know when something is mid-charge, or done charging. Lastly but definitely not least, out of all the Move chargers available here on Amazon, it is the most affordable. I got a great deal by a great used dealer on here and am very happy with my transaction. No, I didn't get an original box, but don't need it.

Anyway, so how this thing works is that you basically slide in the controller and the 2 sensors that are located on the bottom of these controllers touch the sensors at the base of these tubes, and once contact is made the charging commences. The tube itself is made of a clear plastic, and the base is black with an LED underneath (nothing crazy, a small blue thing). It has an on/off button at the front of the base, so when you are ready to charge, just hit the button, and the tubes turn red while the controller is charging. The LED light already on the controllers also blinks to let you know it is charging. Once the item is fully charged the tube goes from a red light color to a bright white (which actually looks rather cool). Once it's white, you know it's done, you pull the controller out, and you commence your playtime. The base itself plugs into the wall via AC plug that comes separate and plugs into the base. That's pretty much it. It works well enough, looks quite pretty, and even with no controllers in it does serve as a pretty cute and decorative piece.

So onto the complaints, which aren't heavy at all but still significant enough to write about. First, the unit feels rather cheap. It's very light, and feels kinda like a flimsy plastic. I wouldn't want to drop this thing because it may very well break, the thing just feels too delicate to ever risk being dropped or mistreated in any way. Next, the thing seems to have a bit of confusion as to when something is actually done charging. By that I mean, you could have a controller inside and have it light red for about 10 minutes, then see it white. You pop it out and figure the job is done. If you put it right back inside (let's say if you just want to use the tube as a storage space, the light will turn red again and take anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute for it to turn white again. It almost makes it seems like it has trouble reading (or is slow to read) when something is actually done charging. This isn't a big deal except that it MAY cause confusion as to knowing which controller is charge and which isn't. I myself own 2 nav controller and 2 motion controllers. As far as this thing "over charging" if the item is left in too long after indicating that is done charging, I am not exactly sure. When my controllers are done charging I simply take the controllers out. I didn't want to keep the controllers inside and take the risk.

Aside from this little quirk, there was a strange glitchy action mine did upon the first time I used it. I would put all the controllers inside, and while it was still charging (tubes were red lighted), the lights would turn off and the base blue light would come on as if the controllers were all pulled out, even though they were all in the tubes. The base blue light only turns on when there are no controllers inserted. Basically the thing was not reading my controllers even though they were in there. I turned if off and back on again and it did it again. I had remembered then that these 2 controllers that we were playing with prior on a separate game had already been fully charged, I had just simply left them in there to sit, which I stopped doing. After a second try, everything went back to normal. I just decided to ignore this as it didn't happen again. But thing DID start to work properly after a few minutes.

There have also been complaints that it is annoying plugging in the nav controllers, that they need to be played around with and slightly shaken or "Jimmied" in order for the sensor to catch notice. I DID face this issue a couple of times but honestly, the thing was so minor that I wasn't even going to put this in the review. It took 2 seconds to get the thing to sit right.

Anyway, if you're on a budget and just want something quick and easy, this Nyko chargers not only looks cool but also works in a necessary way. While these little strange glitches sort of just happen out of a whim, it doesn't really affect the necessity for such a cute item. If you HAVE the means, and would rather pick up a Sony brand PS Move charger (the one with only 2 port holes) I would probably recommend that one over this one only because it IS the Sony official brand, and it wouldn't feel flimsy and cheap. Still, lots of Move players don't want to plug in only 2 controllers and they wait to take turns from the others; this is well enough, I would suggest checking out the official brand name. I bought these because they were very cheap and affordable, as well as look good. If you're on a budget, I would these above the others: but if you've got the dough, pick yourself up a Wii or something.

So just to recap some pros and cons:

PROS:

-More affordable than the other 4 port chargers

-Good looks

-Light LED charge indicators

-Functional, charging does not take long

CONS:

-Cheap/delicate feeling plastic

-Random glitchy tendencies

-Very minor issues getting the nav controllers to sit right

I needed a charger that worked with all four Move controllers. The other quad chargers I have seen, only charge two Move controllers, while the other 2 spaces are for navigation controllers. While there was one other charger that worked with all four Moves, it received poor reviews. The controllers fit comfortably in their frame. Looks cool too while charging, with the LEDs lighting each space.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When playing this game I could really appreciate the fact that it is well made and that the graphics are outstanding. The gameplay however was not up my alley. I thought it was going to be more of a racer that had jumps included, but a good part of the game consists in stringing together jumps and tricks in order to increase your boost. Those that are looking for this kind of experience won't be disappointed, but if you are like me, and you are looking for an experience more along the lines of games like Motorstorm, you may not find this one to be the best option.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I went into Pure thinking it would be overly arcadey, sort of like a Motor Storm, and found that it's actually a super-accessible technical racer that you can play arcadey if you like, or page through 30-some pages of parts to build out your ATV for the perfect race.

The graphics are excellent and framerate solid, even when hitting huge air and getting the zoom-out effect where you see almost the entire map. That is one of the most exhilerating moments while playing.

The students are defined in 1 of 4 levels, basically mapping to the 3 face buttons and both L1/R1 I believe depending on your boost level and then combining that with some direction on your analog stick. This results in quite a few combination *technically*, but actually being fast enough or coordinated enough to pull of a face-button and 1 of 8 directions differently each time is a lot tricker than you think, especially since pre-loading your jump (pushing down then flicking up right as you crest a jump to throw yourself into the air) already positions your hands and fingers in a certain feel coming out of a preload and immediately into the opposite motion, like down and triangle is pretty tricky.

I found myself pulling off the *same* stunts per-level over and over again (which give you less and less boost as you keep repeating stunts) just because it was the most natural feel to me when I frantically tried to pull something off before hitting the ground.

The game is fairly forgiving, I readily lost some races and readily won others... I couldn't detect any rediculous "rubber banding" that is a stable in the Need for Speed series and some other racers, it was a very natural feel of either "I'm loosing", "I'm catching up" or "I'm winning"... and in some cases "I'm destroying them!".

The amount of polish in this game is evident from the get-go and never really lets go... it's a really safe buy if you like racers and just a lot of simple and accessible fun with great graphics and excellent track design.

Usually I try to avoid any game made by Disney. Though after reading some very good reviews about it, I decided to take my my chances, and thank goodness I did !The games graphics make you feel as if you are actually in the game, ( e.g puddles spraying the screen and mud smearing your shirt if you crash ) . Stunts are truly awe inspiring as you pull off tricks that are not physically possible in reality ! The controls are fun and not as complex as past ATV games have proven to be, so that is certainly a huge boost of game play. Though what I love best about this game is the breath taking landscape. My heart always races as I fly over the mountains of New Zealand and do a couple backflips on my vehicle as I descend at a sick speed to the ground. The game enables you to design your own personal ATV with loads of engines, shocks, handlebars, wheels and alot more, that you can choose for your ride."World Tour" a game mode in Pure is also sure to excite, as you try to become the best ATV rider in the nation, while earning those upgraded parts for your vehicle along the way !You can also choose to just do a single race, including a sprint race, a normal race, and best of all, Freestyle, where you collect special boosts and gas ( you can't run out of gas if you wish to complete the race )

The only need for improvement for Pure is maybe to have more game modes(World Tour is the only one) otherwise this game is 'pure' amazing !

There are few racers out there nowadays which capture that arcade feel while still feeling current. I am sick and tired of the Gran Turismo's and Forza's where you need to plan every nuance of how to build your car, and then start racing and realize its going to take you days to simply figure out how to drive straight. This game does none of that. It does have the cool feature of letting you build your own ATV, but its not overly complex, and once you get into the racing aspect this game is FUN. A racer doesn't have to have all those things, sometimes you just want to jump right in and race, and this game does just that. It also has some of the better graphics I have seen in a racing game. Plus it's cheap. 20.00 is a steal if you want to fill out your collection.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I had fun with this game. As the title says, I am not an ATV person and did not expect much from this game. The graphics (especially the backgrounds) are stunning. It is fun to fly through the air and pull off the trick manuevers. This is defeinerly less of a simulation game (think Nascar) and more of a plain-old fun game. To be a bit tacky, it is "Pure" fun.

It reminds me of the games from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, but with powerhouse graphics and sounds that the PS3 can deliver!
