I wanted to get this game since I played the demo and it's a lot of fun. The graphics and voice acting are above average, the story is entertaining, and dialogue is a little cheesy, but it's bearable. The best thing about the game is the different supernatural powers that the team members have. Some are more efficient to use than others, and you'll probably use your favorite 2-3 members for most of the game (most likely Church, who uses a one-hit kill sword, and Delgado who uses fire and a minigun). The weapons are usual FPS machine guns, pistols, snipers, etc. Each member has their own personality, which helps keep the game fresh. The ultimate rental. I don't suggest buying it due to lack of multiplayer and a short campaign. Squeamish people, STAY AWAY!

EditedI haven't been able to play this game in a while, but I picked it up again recently. I haven't gotten too far into the game when I reviewed it, but having played it furthur, I have found many faults that I didn't notice before. The main and most frustrating one is the lack of any sort of intelligence whatsoever from your teammates. They rarely use cover, and when they do they use it incredibly poorly. They usually stand in the same spot all clumped together in a group firing at the same enemy while ignoring the other ones. They never back away from enemies that are charging at them, not even the ones who explode when they get near you. As a result, they are CONSTANTLY dieing, making you revive them constantly. This becomes even more frustrating when the squad gets split up since you have to pay extra attention to make sure that those guys don't die. One part of the game is so excruciatingly difficult that I have almost given up on beating the game. Which is a darn shame since I'm loving the wacky storyline.

I played Jericho for the PS3 and bought I because I enjoyed the demo and was despirate for a FPS for the PS3.

The good:

Its fun

Difficulty settings are appropriate

Graphics are cool

Controller is easy to learn

The bad:

At times too dark to see your surroundings

Short

Game favors some characters with certain powers

Not as interactive as other next gen games (can't jump or pick up items)

The only flaw this game has is that there is no multiplayer or co-op options. Otherwise the game has great graphics, an intriguing story, and awesome weapons and powers.

When I started this game I went in with a bad attitude from the beginning due to all the bad reviews. The game starts off a little slow but as you go on it gets better and better. I'm done with the game and I liked it a lot. Make your own decision about the game.

Want Clive Barker's Jericho Discount?

The main reason I purchased this game is that I am a huge Clive Barker fan! I've read all the Books Of Blood, Hellbound Heart, and Cabal. Hellraiser was the first horror film I found to be simply beautiful and grotesque at the same time. It was hard for me to stay away from the graphics of this game. Only, when game play started... it was not your traditional FPS.

Jericho doesn't disappoint with it's beautiful design! Each and every detail int he characters and playfield have been detailed to an unreal degree. This makes the game beautiful to watch and gawk at. The levels and missions are short... leaving even the busiest gamer time to fly though a mission before heading out Friday night, going to the office, or even the family guy, playing with the kids. Only, some missions require more thought than others....

Let the frustration begin...

Your Squad has a multitude of skills... each one will need to use them among different points of the game. Generally, I avoided playing Father Rawlings because he's a healer and can heal from a distance... My issues? Sometimes you need to use these skills and there is little hint to when! ie. I fought a Lichthammer for 20 minutes before I thought of using Church's blood to bind her... as soon as I did that the fight was over. So 20 minutes of nothing! I could have spent 40 doing it, having no idea. Same with huge beasts in another level where once again Church was needed. Seems Church, the character I like to play second least, is constantly needed to do things.... yet there is little hint to the need of the character. This is frustrating.

Next.... and the most annoying thing that made me want to sell this game the minute I started to play... (along with other reviews) The squad is downright dumb! Each one gets killed much too easily... and it happens often. I spend more time healing my crew than I do fighting monsters. Especially with the suicide bomber monsters. Frankly, there is nothing more annoying than watching someone play a game and never getting to try it out... that's the way I feel on certain parts of this game. I run around healing people more than I get to destroy monsters because the darn squad will jump out like it's a surprise birthday party for the enemy and never take enough cover. BTW, having a crouch button would have been nice! They have multiple levels with debris you can hide behind but what good is it if you stand up to get shot.

Needless to say I give the game a 3 only because it's been the most beautiful horror first person shooter I've ever seen. Final note... some of the fun of a FPS is exploration. Also, picking up items or power ups, secrets, ect... Not in this game. There is no way to explore. Only one way to go. No open roads or ways to get lost. You have a driven linear path!

If you're a Clive Barker fan or like horror to the extreme this is a must but be ready for frustration. It's very unorthodox of other FPS and you'll be healing your squad allot instead of fighting. Just remember that the levels are short enough that redoing them from a check point isn't so bad. I like to collect games of this nature but, I'm not sure I'll hold onto this or not. I love the graphics and violence but, I think this game is going to drive me to need medication. It only needed a few more things to make it a 5 star game!

3 Stars, for great graphics and some fun...

Beginning with Rock Band 3, all instrument peripherals (except for the Squier Strat real guitar controller being made by Fender) are being manufactured by Mad Catz. I've referred to Mad Catz as "Mad Crapz" more than once for the low quality of some of their accessories, though fortunately both the new guitar and the new keyboard seem to work well enough. But even though the new RB guitar is quite functional, I can't give it more than 3 stars.

The major emphasis on this revision of the guitar controller seems to be quieter fret buttons. The fret buttons on this guitar are definitely quieter than the frets on my old Rock Band 2 Strat, but the trade-off is in the tactile feedback of the buttons the buttons on this guitar are VERY squishy and don't depress much when pressed. Comparatively, the frets on my old RB2 Strat feel reassuringly crisp and the buttons depress noticeably. (I guess you'd say the RB2 Strat has higher action, to use the proper guitar term.)

Outside of the feel of the fret buttons, there is very little difference between this model and the older ones. The strum bar feels the same, as does the tremolo bar. The one other change is that the 5-way effects switch has been removed, but I certainly won't miss it.

Now, I understand my complaint is primarily a "feel" thing and undoubtedly some users will appreciate the new fret buttons' feel. But I kind of wish I'd spent my $60 on an RB2 Strat, though the trouble there is actually finding one.

This guitar controller is almost identical to the Rock Band 2 wireless guitar save for aesthetics. Like its predecessor, it is an improvement over the Rock Band 1 model in several areas:

The fret buttons are noticeably quieter and less "clicky".

The strum bar is also nearly silent. It still has a bit of that "mushy" feeling that some people complained about when comparing it to Guitar Hero controllers. Personally, I have always preferred the Rock Band strummer as it felt more natural compared to the Guitar Hero model. If you didn't like it before, this won't change your mind. After moderate use my strum bar sometimes makes a creaking noise if I move it slowly (like it needs to be oiled).

The battery compartment on the back is also much easier to get into thanks to the change from having to unscrew tiny screws in the Rock Band 1 guitar to a simple tab release.

One thing that hasn't changed is that, for the PlayStation 3, the guitar requires use of a USB "dongle" which hangs off the PS3. Not a big deal, and it's better than having a wire, but I'm hoping eventually we can see a true bluetooth model that connects to the PS3 like regular controllers do.

Also worth noting is that the 5-way effects switch has been removed. When playing a game such as Rock Band 1 there is no way to change effects at all, and the default setting is set to "echo" instead of "off" which means that whenever you use overdrive or enter a guitar solo you are forced to hear the notes in the "echo" setting. Not a big deal but certainly annoying. The switch must have been removed to cut costs.

Finally, the only two color choices for PS3 users are "cherry" red and a rather pale shade of blue. These are rather unexciting.

Overall, this is worth picking up if you plan on jumping into Rock Band or are considering getting a new guitar controller. From what I've heard, the Rock Band 2 guitar is actually the best of the bunch but is harder to find. Good luck and good shredding!

The Fender Stratocaster guitar controllers are a MUST replacement over OEM Rock Band guitars. Original guitars drove me NUTS with the clicking of the strum bar, sometimes interfering with my concentration, causing errors. The Fender Strat's strum bar is COMPLETELY SILENT, no clicking at all!!! The whammy bar is a bit out of place from what I was used to before, but I think I will adjust to it in time. The silent strumming took a while to acclimate to also, you don't feel or hear a click, so you aren't sure you did it hard enough, resulting occasionally in a double-strum. I am adjusting to it though, and am VERY happy with the purchase.

The strum bar is completely silent. The previous version was good, and I actually used the click of the strum bar to keep time. This one is so quiet that you don't hear yourself playing, so if you have a series of fast notes, you have to pay attention so that you don't strum an extra note at the end. The fret buttons are probably the same as the last one, very quiet and responsive. This guitar is the best choice for the new generation, even better than the more expensive models (that I sent back).

update:

Sometimes these guitars have a oversensitive strum bar. You would think that a plastic guitar that costs more than a real guitar would be perfect out of the box. I was having problems with the down strum registering several strums killing my score. I took the screws out of the back (not the front side screws) to expose the back of the trigger. There is a small magnet encased in plastic that triggers a conductor (on each side) when it moves up and down. I used vinyl repair to add more insulation eliminating the problem of being too sensitive. You can use any kind of caulk, silicon, etc. If you have a guitar that isn't sensitive enough, you can take a small knife and shave the plastic down on the side that is next to the conductor.

Much as I enjoy my GH guitars, I needed a "real" RB axe to get the trophies. The single biggest adjustment (after finally gaining success at GH touch strip) is in the solo frets. Play on one and you can play them all is the theory, though this guitar feels to have slightly different dimensions than the OEM model. No complaints on play; most of my issues stem from my own build not playing nicely with RB hardware (I have small hands and the reach at the solo frets is a semi-major adjustment).

Played fine out of the box and seems to work as intended. Worked with GH5, GHWT, RB1, and RB2 as well as the promised RB3 (haven't attempted the other disks as yet); also accepted all DLC for the full RB and GH series. Like others I would prefer a true wireless rather than dongle-connect, but this seems to be a standard thing currently. Takes "double A" batteries.

Picked this one over others for the blue finish; strictly preferential. Removed from my Amazon wishlist when I almost literally tripped over it in a store.

Recommend.

edit 1 March 2012:

Have since used it with GH3, Rock Revolution, and GH: WoR; works great with all games and their respective DLC. Picked up RB:AC/DC today and will edit again once I've had a chance to playtest (though I expect it to work there as well).

Just pop the move controller in and start racing. Very accurate control with the move camera--i found it super easy to drive around even at high speeds. Docked one star because i thought 39.99 was a little pricey even though it works great. You need you own move controller with this so i thought 39.99 with the controller would be a better price. The throttle on the right side is a cool idea.

Amazon-as usualwas great with fast delivery.

If you have a Move and you don't want to have a large steering wheel set up in your living room, this is a great alternative. It well built, very responsive, and a lot smaller and cheaper. Unfortunately, while the wheel works with basically all racing games (through a small workaround mentioned in the manual, officially call DualShock 3 Emulation Mode) there aren't that many games out that support the wheel fully; Motorstorm: Apocolypse is the only one I can think of. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (the new one) supports it, as does LittleBigPlanet: Karting but not all features of those games are available while using the wheel. For example, LBP: Karting's creation tools require a DualShock 3.

So, the tech is promising and could be really cool, if more games come out in full support of it. (11/27/2012)

I don't write reviews too often on products. When I do, it's for something I truly enjoy. That being said, this racing wheel is unbelievably fun! The very first thing I noticed was how well balanced it is while holding it. I've spent a little more than 5 hours play testing it with Need for Speed: Most Wanted and can honestly say neither my arms nor hands ever once started to hurt. This steering wheel opened up an entirely different world of racing on the PS3. The absolutely precise movements able to be made with the steering versus using a controller is contrastingly huge. As the description states, it's "insanely intuitive" and that is so true. All the controls are designed in a way to be easily accessible, including the paddle shifters. I toyed around in Little Big Planet Karting some and thoroughly enjoyed racing in that as well. Sadly, I don't have any games at the moment that I can test the bike mode of the wheel. I can't wait to get a hold of one to test with though!

All in all, there are only two downsides that I personally see. The first being nothing to hold it in place. I sometimes found myself moving the entire controller around, because it's being held in the air. It was helpful to just rest my elbows down and move my arms some, but that also hindered when I needed to do large turning. The second being the price. I'm not taking stars off for that. It's a full PS3 controller with some extras built in. I can see why it's currently at the price it is. No grumbling from me. I've already gotten 5+ hours of immense entertainment from it! Even when I do buy a second one to play against my nephews.

So there you have it. Why this took so long to be released after the Move was introduced, I have no idea. However, my verdict on this racing wheel is it's pure fun and well worth it!

Update 01/04/2013

I've recently learned that the wheel can be used for any racing game which doesn't support it, so long as it's set as controller 1. It appears to use the accelerometer for this. Changing to 1 can be found by navigating with the wheel controller to Settings, Accessory Settings, Reassign Controllers and adjusting to 1. I've tested this with Blur, Split Second and the first Motorstorm so far. It's not as responsive as games supporting it directly via the Move controller, but still better than using the gamepad.

A great idea and comfortable to hold. The movement is precise and NFS was more fun to play with it. They need to release more games compatible with it though. C'mon SONY !

Usually, when they make a highly anticipated sequel to a much-loved video game franchise, the list of available activities goes up. It seems to me that with GTA IV, that list actually went down. Anyone agree?

I waited anxiously for GTA IV just like many other gamers. I have only been playing it for a few days, and I am already 50% of the way through. After playing GTA: San Andreas for a few days, I was thrilled to discover that I was only about 20% of the way through and still had not revealed the entire map! More detail at the sake of less space to explore = "Looks great. Sure wish it was bigger."

One of the most exciting moments in my video gaming history was discovering that you could finally steal the airplanes in GTA: San Andreas! One of the most disappointing moments in my video gaming history was discovering that they had eliminated this from GTA IV! What a perfect opportunity to make the flight ceiling higher and the destinations more interesting! Sorry, turns out it's back down to one smallish city. Plus, realizing that you could jump of of planes and sky-dive was freakin' sweet! Not happening this time around.

The controls for the various vehicles seem to have become more difficult. (More realistic?) I preferred being able to grab the handbrake and execute crisp turns and 180's to the new "touch the handbrake and spin out" scheme that exists now. And the motorcycles? It seems they've switched the reasonably grippy tires they normally used with tractionless rings of plastic.

And where have the fire-truck and ambulance missions gone? What about the ability to swim under water? Why haven't I been able to carry around a samurai sword or a chainsaw? Where is the flame-thrower? And what a great location the new Liberty City would have been for a jet-pack!

GTA IV seems to be a lot of "been there, done that" with very little new to keep the legions of fans happy. It will sell a billion copies because of the name it carries, but overall, this game is a disappointment.

Just when you think you have Rockstar Games and their legendary Grand Theft Auto series figured out, they pitch you one heck of a curve. Speaking as a guy who spent so much time running amok in Vice City and San Andreas that I practically had to file tax returns there, I have been consistently surprised by the depth of play in GTA IV. Yes, it's true that the character modeling and some of the action moves are a little choppy, but most of the game looks great. Far more interesting, however, is the fact that this is not a video game per se it borders on an interactive movie. The crime and violence in fuzzy-lit, pastel colored Vice City is practically cartoonish compared to the gritty reality of life in Liberty City in GTA IV. You're not just a thug with a bat trying to decide which car to lift, you're an immigrant with plenty of emotional baggage, forced into a series of moral quandries the outcomes of which carry implications throughout the entire game. Things you do even turn up later on the in-game radio stations!

Every generation of game console, some game is proclaimed the next coming, be it of graphics, or gameplay, or some other measurable category. GTA IV is different. You can wallow in the muck of street violence and prostitution as always, but there's a deeper moral play going on that feels unlike anything else I've encountered not only in GTA, but in video games in general. Rockstar Games may have finally located that most ephemeral of experiences one equal parts game and cinema, without belonging entirely to either. It's going to be interesting to see how many critics and politicians seize on only the overt, adult content, without grasping how far more creative and artistic this "game" is than your average deadening FPS or racing game. Rockstar Games is to be commended for what truly deserves to be called "genius."

This game has hard core fans with disparate expectations. There are a myriad of rave reviews on this game. I thought I'd write one for those who are finding GTA4 to be...so-so?

I've read the positive reviews--it's a GTA for grown ups (weren't they all?), it's darker better, grittier (based on your character's facial hair I assume), it's more REALISTIC.

Ok. stop right there. Sorry but I don't want realism. I don't want to drive clunky cars that can't take a 90 degree turn at 30 mph without plowing through a storefront. I don't want to call up friends when I'd rather be doing something else just so I can keep the relationship (and the perks they offer) going. I don't want a GTA version of the virtual Secondlife or SIMS. I want to jetpack around in my tightie whities and a mohawk, 200 lbs overweight, listening to Conway Twitty. Now you're talking about fun.

Seriously, fun has been the ultimate of the GTA's until now. Niko Belak is NO FUN, he'd tell you personally. Previous GTA's all offered that thrill of exhilaration. I'm just not getting that here.

Pluses

*Taking cabs--much better than cross country treks that go awry when you make a wrong turn and crash into the ocean.

*Having a lawyer for a girlfriend--good idea

*Evading the cops by stealth rather than bribes

*Very cool graphics with smooth transitions

*Best bank robbery mission ever

*Good weapons/aiming control

Minuses

*Repetitive missions (shoot em up, run away from the cops)

*A little too easy. In all the other GTA's I've gotten stuck somewhere, simply b/c I'm not the best hand-eye coordinator. Nothing in GTA4 stymied me for more than 2 repeat tries.

*Lack of customization

*Lack of skill improvement (i.e. cars, shooting, bikes, endurance, etc)

*Lack of haircuts and accessories(Hey, I'm a chick, what do you want?)

*Drastic changes in driving controls

*Uninteresting NPC's/stories/dialogue

*Lack of 'stuff' to find in nooks and crannies

*Second-shelf music selection

*Inability to buy businesses

In sum, I just shelved this game at about 80% completion for another one I got for $20. That is the most demonstrative comment I can offer. Previous GTA's were my heroin--this one's more like methadone. Save your $60 and wait 6 months--the market will be glutted w/ extra copies.

So many comparisons to other GTA's and all of them missing the point...This is not GTA Vice city, or San Andreas, it's new and much more realistic. Yes, the game is dark in spots, and holy crap, if you get indoors and someone comes up behind you and starts pummeling you it's hard to get around to hitting them back with the camera jerking everywhere, but the sheer detail, size, and interactivity are amazing. The game play is pure GTA, beating people down, dodging their punches and counter-punching, stalking into a street with shotgun drawn, cycling through targets and POW,POW,POW!!!! I love it!!! The vehicles are really true to life, steal an SUV and try to take a corner at top speed...over you go, just like real life. Steal a Banshee and away you go, burning rubber the whole way. This is not the cheesy jet packing, chainsaw in the street, gangsta' wannabe, f-bomb fest that was San Andreas, this is involved life with a conflicted protagonist and deep story that will pull you right in. I feel for our hero, I care if he succeeds, that's the difference. My first day I stole a motorcycle and cruised the town, like I was there, I followed the lights, cruised up and down, and beat up some old man, then I crossed the bridge in a stolen garbage truck and got a level 5 wanted level, I drove like a madman to get back to my safe house, with a helicoptwer firing at me, and a swarm of cop cars to plow through, it was awesome!! Let the 14 year olds whine because they can't customize their car, get a driving game if that's what you want, for me this is the heat! The best part for me is knowing that as good as this one is, the next will be even better. I like it!!

I don't know how some review sites can give this game a perfect 10 rating. It is a great game, but far from perfect. The PS3 version suffers from several technical problems that have been pointed out here ad nauseam. One patch has already been released, and hopefully future patches will fix the rest of the problems. As for the game itself, it's one of the best ever. It's definitely a solid "9", but far from a 10. If you can wait awhile and avoid the hype, you may be better off waiting until most of the major problems are fixed. Online play has been partially fixed, but it still isn't perfect.

Having used a number of different guitar controllers with both Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, I have to say that the Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller Premier Edition has a lot going for it.

The guitar is, as advertised, solid wood with a beautiful wooden neck and fingerboard. The buttons on the neck are responsive and quiet. The strum bar works well. It is "squishier" (and quieter) than a standard Guitar Hero strum bar, but not nearly as "squishy" as the strum bar on a standard Rock Band guitar controller.

I think I like the strum bar on the Guitar Hero World Tour guitar slightly better, but the strum bar on Logitech's premier edition controller is still very good, and it is certainly much quieter. By comparison, I absolutely hate the strum bar on the standard Rock Band controller.

The "whammy" bar on the premier controller also works well, but it is mounted on a cheap, fake-looking, plastic bridge. This plastic bridge really cheapens the look of an otherwise beautiful piece of equipment. Shame on Logitech.

One reason I was willing to spend $250 on the Logitech's premier edition controller was my expectation that mechanical pieces would be well-built and reliable. I have always been pleased with the quality of Logitech products.

When you press the "whammy" bar, you can see underneath it, and there looks to be some plastic connected to the spring that provides the "whammy" bar with its springiness. I can't tell whether this will pose a reliability problem with prolonged use, but I am a little concerned.

Time will tell whether the mechanical parts of this controller were designed and built with reliability in mind. For $250, I sure hope so.

Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band certainly feel different when played with a solid wood guitar, rather than the cheap (looking) plastic controllers I've used previously. The difference is difficult to put into words.

Is the difference in the gameplay experience worth the extra money? Probably not. Do I want to go back to my old guitar controllers? Not a chance.

***UPDATE***

I've bought three of these now. All three had cracks where the body attaches to the neck. And, the third also had a missing yellow fret button! I cannot believe that the quality on a so-called premium guitar is so poor.

***ORIGINAL REVIEW***

I normally skip this kind of review. The, wa-wa, it was broken when I got it kind. However, given that this guitar cost so much, I think that is a good place to start and it is worth noting.

The body of the guitar was splitting where the neck attaches. This is simply unacceptable in a premium product. Quality assurance should have caught this.

Otherwise, it is a great guitar. I might even buy another and hope for an intact one.

Pros:

Real feel, real look

Perfect buttons, quiet strum

Worked perfectly with RB2

Improved my scores a lot over stock guitar

Nice accessories, included strap and bag

Cons:

Heavy, wears on your shoulder after a few songs (not for kids, a big detractor)

No lower frets (though the use of these is questionable on the stock anyway)

Mine came broken out of the box, QA may be poor

While brand new, the controller would not sync with the receiver. Upon calling Logitech support, they said it was faulty and that I should return it to where I bought it as they no longer offer support for this product as it is discontinued. Based on other reviews I have read, there seems to be a problem with quality control on this which is really surprising considering the cost of this controller. And the fact that they have discontinued this item only 6 months after its initial release is not a very good sign. They are pushing their new black guitar controller but I am going to stay away from it based on their support for such a high end product. It says it has a one year warranty, but it is already discontinued... be wary.

Ubisoft released Just Dance 3 for the Wii and the Xbox back in October 2011, but noticeably absent was a version for the Playstation 3, which didn't get released until two months later. Those of you who've read my rather detailed reviews for the Wii and Xbox versions know that I'm a big fan of this series and have been since the first version came out for the Wii two years ago. The pop music soundtrack has a little of something for everyone, the motion detection is decent, and the choreography is easy-to-follow and a lot of fun. It's one of the best party games out there.

The best way I can describe Just Dance 3 for the Playstation is that it's a direct port of the Wii version, nothing more, nothing less. As a result it's not a bad game, but you can't help but feel that it could have and should have been so much more.

As with the Wii version, when you start the game you get a pleasantly simple home screen which consists of three menu options: Just Dance, Just Sweat, and Options. Menu navigation is seamless using the Playstation Move controller.

Choosing "Just Dance" lets you select individual songs to dance to or lets you select different playlists that group songs together by style or genre. As with the other versions, as you play you can collect "Mojo Points" to unlock new playing modes, new songs, etc.

Turning on "Just Sweat" mode lets you choose a free session where you can start working out to any song or playlist, or a 7-Day Challenge section with three options of increasing intensity which are roughly the equivalent of walking, running, or swimming 30 minutes a day. As with the other versions, you collect "sweat points" as you dance to different songs. Like the Wii version, you're basically on the "honor system". If you just move your hands, you can get a high score. But to get real exercise (and have real fun) you should be putting your whole body into the dancing.

The choreography, graphics, and animations are literally identical to what you'll see on the Wii and the Xbox. The only noticeable difference I saw was that some details are a little sharper in the PS3 version (for example, in Katy Perry's "California Gurls", the details of the normally silhouetted woman's face are very clearly drawn, to a slightly creepy effect).

As with the Wii version, you hold a single Move controller in your right hand and mirror the on-screen character's moves. The motion detection is decent, although not quite to the precision and detail of a game like Dance Central 2 on the Xbox or even Everybody Dance on the PS3. This is by design; while those games stress more complex dance instruction and technical accuracy, Just Dance was clearly designed to be a fun party game first and foremost.

As on the other platforms, all songs are marked with icons that designate their technical complexity and their workout intensity. All the songs can be played by 1 to 4 people, each with their own Move controller. In most of the songs all players dance the same steps, but there are a handful of songs that are cleverly choreographed for two players and four players to dance a full routine with each dancer having his or her own independent steps; these are a ton of fun to play in groups where up to four players can dance and the rest of the group can enjoy an entertaining performance. On the Xbox version multiplayer mode can get awkward, as all four players have to squeeze within the Kinect's camera view. The PS3 developers wisely designed the game so that if the Move controllers happen to go outside the range of the Playstation Eye camera, the internal accelerometers of the Move controllers will still detect motion (much like a Wii Remote). While this may detract slightly from scoring accuracy, ultimately it makes multiplayer play a lot more fun as players don't necessarily need to worry about squeezing into a tiny space.

While the port of the Wii functionality was near flawless, I have to admit I was disappointed that they decided to leave it at that. Given the capabilities of the PS3, it could have been so much more. For example, the choreography mode that was developed for the Xbox version is noticeably missing from the PS3 version (a shame given that Sony already demonstrated with Everybody Dance that it could be done and done extremely well on the PS3). Something else in the Xbox version that's missing from the PS3 version is the ability to see your own video image and compare it to the on-screen character's movements. Surprisingly, there isn't even an option for downloadable content, something even the Wii version has.

In addition to the aforementioned omissions, I would have loved to see them push the envelope forward with a "record your performance" feature and the ability to share on social networks, both things which the PS3 is fully capable of. But there's nothing like that here.

I'd say that Just Dance 3 is ideal for PS3 owners who happen to have friends or relatives who already have Just Dance 3 on the Xbox or Wii. You'll be able to practice on your PS3 and not miss a beat (literally) when you play the same songs on their systems. Furthermore, if you have a child whose school uses Just Dance 3 in gym classes, this would be a great way for him or her to get a little practice at home. And of course, the fact that it's casual makes it a lot of fun for families and friends to play together at parties.

On the other hand, if you're looking for the best dance game on the PS3 and don't have any ties to Just Dance on other platforms, I'd have to give the edge to Everybody Dance, which does a much better job of maximizing the use of the PS3 Move and the Playstation Eye camera.

For those who want to lose the weight put on during the holidays, this is one of the Exercise Routines on Just Dance 3 for PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. It is the newest version of the game. It has several dance music to choose from like Party Rock Anthem, Jump, Boogie Wonderland, California Gurls, Pointer's Sisters' I'm So Excited, Everybody Dance Now, and many others. It is not only fun but it will make you sweat and lose inches. I have the PlayStation 3 for Move and PS3 Eye version. I love it! The light on the PS3 Move Controller changes into different colors while doing the dance moves. I am giving this Video Game a 5-Star Rating.

It does rock. People are complaining it's the same as wii, but really? It's suppose to be! It's for us Play Station lovers that don't want to a buy a wii. The songs are awesome and the dances are fun. 3 takes Just Dance 2 out of the water. It's great game for parties and on your own unlike that one everyone is comparing it too. But seriously check it out. I love the Just Dance games. It's about shaking your butt and having fun with people, not all the bull the so called gamers rate it on.

This cable does what it was supposed to do with no hassles. It's long enough to game with from a comfortable distance. It connects solidly to both the console and the controller. It was well worth the cost.

It looks like the really expensive charging cables but it's not that expensive. Gets the job done. Mostly I have it coiled up and just use it to charge the controller while I'm not playing, but it's really nice to be able to sit on the couch and play when the controller starts going dead.

This game is way under rated by the other reviews. I bought this game to play online co-op with a buddy over 3,000 miles away. It's blown all my expectations out of the water. Graphics are decent (definitely PS3 appropriate, I don't know where the PS2 comments came from on the other reviews), sound is sweet, and the control is selectable in the options menu (ranging from slow to twitchy). The big thing is this game plays seamlessly as if my buddy and I were in the next room. What other game can boast online co-op in campaign mode and pull it off like Army of Two?

The "bad guy" AI is pretty good, and they advance and make decisions that make this game a good challenge. Previous reviews said the aiming sucks and the enemy doesn't seem to be phased by direct hits...I don't see it. When you start, your main weapon isn't very accurate, and alot of times you're firing from cover, holding your gun over your head. So, of course it's not going to be easy to aim, and with an inaccurate automatic weapon you're not going to hit the guy who's running 30 yards away.

The co-op mode is a blast, and I thought the single player mode wasn't too bad either. The key is that you have to use the communication tools with the AI partner. The in-play training tips help you learn how to get the AI guy to do what you need him to. I found that once I got the hang of it, he was predictable and even saved my on occasion. Without using the communication tools, the AI partner would be worthless, so I'm thinking the previous reviewers didn't use the tools.

My only negative comment is that the game did crash on me once. That should have been caught by the testers. Even with that, for what this game does with online technology, I definitely give it Five Stars!!

As a split-screen co-op campaign TPS, there really is no other game like it! (Okay, Resistance is close, but that's an excellent game as well). Having a choice of primary and secondary weapons (and any game that lets you choose a fully automatic P90 as a "secondary" weapon is definitely giving you a great choice of arsenal!), as well as grenades and special weapons (sniper rifle or RPG as examples), as well as the ability to customize weapons (adding scopes, switching barrels, stocks, ammo clips, adding a grenade launcher as examples), you really do have an excellent range of weapon customizations.

One great aspect of the PS3 version is the use of the Sixaxis controller for the tandem paragliding segments. There are parts of some missions where you're doing tandem paragliding, with one person controlling the parachute using the Sixaxis controller (and here's a problem, the manual never tells you that you're supposed to use the Sixaxis controller's tilt function to control movement, so we smacked the mountain a few times till we figured it out!) and the other person shooting, that's pretty unique to this game (and they recommend using a sniper rifle for that segment, but it's so much more fun using a SAW or AUG on full auto to mow down baddies while you're gliding...)

I'm giving this game 4 stars, because the single player buddie AI can use an improvement (patch?) but as a co-op on the splitscreen, this is a great game for me.

Several other reviewers say that enemy AI is stupid, that they just run up to you. I don't know if they're playing it at easy difficulty, but enemies run up to me as well, but they run shooting and swinging!

There is one departure from realism that I'd like to point out, and I'm actually glad they did it this way: You have a primary weapon, a secondary weapon, a grenade, and a special weapon, and you can pick up ammo, as a primary weapon and as a secondary weapon, as opposed to finding M16 ammo, or AK47 ammo, or P90 ammo, or a S&W ammo, or a M134 minigun ammo, etc. This is a needed abstraction, since there are about a dozen each primary, secondary, and special weapons, and if you were to stick to realism, you'd never find the right ammo on the ground for your equipped weapons (needler ammo, anyone?)

Another thing that may be important to you is that the primary protagonists in the game, Rios and Salem, are mercenaries, and will act like mercenaries. There's a bit of swearing, and there's some other guy out there who's more of a wild-dog than Rios and Salem, with a scene where he gouges someone's eyes and beats their head into the ground. Yes, this game is rated M, just like Halo is, but there's definitely more violence and profanity in Ao2 than Halo, for example. So if you want to play this game as a father/son combo, make sure you debrief them afterwards (it's just a game, you can't shoot your classmates in the back, etc)...

Highly recommended.

I had mixed expectations of this game at first... I was really excited about it because it's one of the few multiplayer games on PS3, but then after reading some bad reviews I was a little apprehensive about buying it. It turns out to be not as great as I expected before I read the reviews (the huge emphasis on co-op play is overrated), but also not as bad as some people described. I played this game with my bf in split screen mode, and we never tried single player, so this review is based on co-op mode with 2 people.

Graphics: Pretty good as long as you have an HDTV and HDMI cable for the system. If not, then it's not so great.

Camera: The camera controls took some getting use to, but once you get use to it they're bearable. I had some trouble with the camera while doing co-op stuff like using riot shield and back to back (but maybe that's just me).

Shooting: The shooting (many people complained that it is nearly useless) is actually not as bad as I expected. It's just that the enemy will keep taking cover and sometimes take blind shots at you, resulting in you not being able to kill him in a few shots.

People who complained a lot of the gameplay and shooting probably played it in single player and had trouble working with the AI. I drew all the aggro while my bf sniped, and when he had the aggro I could aim without being shot at. If you strategize and actually aim you can take enemies down with a few shots assuming you've been upgrading your weapons, but some guys will definitely run up shooting at you and force you to melee.

Co-op stuff: This part of the game is a really good idea, but hugely overrated by the developers...

-There are riot shields, but sometimes I don't bother because when facing a lot of enemies it will break under heavy gunfire and leave you in the middle of the room.

-Back to back shooting isn't something you have a choice in... you can't do it anytime you want, you can only do it when the story allows you to.

-You can step jump your partner up a high wall, etc. but only in certain spots where the option pops up (think the top of that trailer makes a sweet sniping spot? o wait, you can't), and the option usually only pops up when it's part of the story to move onto the next area.

-One really nice co-op feature is the first aid. When your partner goes down you can drag him to safety while he shoots at people, then heal him.

-Weapon swapping.... the only time we ever used this was in the beginning when we had the same guns and he ran out of sniper bullets, but then once we bought new weapons we never used it ever again.

Customization: Again, I think highly overrated.

-You can't customize your armor, only your face mask. There are only 3 different types of body armor that automatically gets upgraded as the game goes on, but none of them really match the different face masks and there is no option to change colors or anything...

-Gun customization is pretty fun, but limited. When I read about the gun customization, I was thinking you can pick your favorite gun and put some insane grenade launcher-type upgrades on it, but some of the guns only have one or two options (sometimes not even improving performance, just appearance).

-You also couldn't see what you can customize on each gun until after you buy it, leading to some "nooo why did I buy that" moments. I just didn't really feel the urge to spend a lot of money on guns that suck compared to the one I was using after I got the most powerful one with the most ammo and accuracy.

-I will admit that being able to "pimp" the guns out was awesome because it increases your aggro (and looks pimp) and I was the bait most of the time :P.

Misc. stuff:

-All the ammo looks the same! The good thing is that the bullets are only specific to they type of gun (primary, secondary, or special weapon) since you can choose from so many different ones. The bad thing is that you sometimes need a certain type of ammo while all your other ammo is full and you pick it up thinking it's the one you need and it's not. Then your partner gets bummed out cuz it's the type of ammo that he needed.

-There are some "Heavy" foes that won't go down with gunfire from the front, so you have to pull aggro and have someone sneak around back and shoot him. These guys were the most fun, especially after I got a rocket launcher for my special weapon and blew him up with one shot from the front :). makes me giggle hehe.

Overall we had fun playing this game, but would never replay it. As a matter of fact, after we beat this game once we traded it in at Gamestop for $22. So bottom line is don't buy it, rent it.

Army of Two is one of the best games I have ever played. It is really fun when I play with my brother and the story and the dialogue is interesting. For fans of Gears of War and Resistance, this game is highly recommended.

Graphics: The graphics are really good (but not the best). The characters look realistic and the cutscene looks as if you are watching final fantasy (or something similar).

Sounds: The voice acting is good, although there are some bad language, but everything was okay. The music is worth hearing and the gun fire and explosions sound realistic.

Gameplay: The game is a cooperative players dream. This is really fun when you play with someone, such as a relative. Instead of giving painful directions to AIs, you can tell the person directly what to do. The gameplay is long enough and there are several vehicles and weapons/equipment to use. (The game is a third person shooter and not first). The online gaming will not let you down. There are some extra features such as letting you customize your own weapons.

There are few camera angle issues and minor glitches, but this is one of the greatest games I have ever played.

I bought this game for the PS3 to play with my daughter online while she is away at college. I guess we should've done a little more research before purchasing, but online play is no longer available for this game. Since the game was under $20 it's not that big of a deal...The game was fun to play via split screen. I guess I wish there was some sort of disclaimer advising that online play was no longer an option

I picked these up for my old PS2 and they work great. They really bring out the picture on my 32" Samsung LED TV compared to the composite cables (Yellow, White, Red).

Had to mess with the settings in my PS2 to get the best picture but there are instructions on Google for doing that.

i am using this cable for the ps2 and so far its working amazingly, one piece of advice though, when you buy this and plug it into your tv you have to watch out which red plug in you plug into, i pluged everything up and when i turned on my ps2 there was a buzzing sound and the color was awfully dark and green, i almost flipped out. But all i had to do was switch the two red plug ins and viola! it worked beautifully, its confusing because the red plug ins look exactly the same

Just purchased the Playseat Nascar Racing Seat. This thing is absolutely perfect for Nascar the Game 2011, I have it paired with my Logitech GT Force feed back Racing Wheel. Took a little bit to assemble, I'd say about 30 minutes. This was primarily due to the instructions, they dont list the bolt sizes, they just have pics. Once assembled it's absolutely great. Love the ease of adjustment of the wheel platform and pedals. Would definetly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about racing games, it gives the player a more natural feel of the car.

This is a review i wrote for a better version of this playseat cockpit but the construction and quality are all the same.

This racing seat/cockpit/mount is amazing. I need as much space as i can get, so out of all the available cockpits that are on the market now, none can be as compact as this. Not saying that it doesnt extend for us tall people, im 6'3" and ive got room to grow in this seat. I find the seat to be a little snug and not have much back support, but i doubt your gonna be sitting in this for over 5 hours.

Ive tried out tons of cockpits and done a bunch of research. This by far gives you the most bang for your buck. It does everything the other cockpits and more. But just like everything in this world there are downsides and room for improvement.

You cant adjust the angle of the steering wheel's mount. You can adjust the elevation and how close it is to you but not the angle at which it faces you.

The pedal mount will also require constant maintenance unless you buy some loctite in which case you run the risk of stripping your screws. There is a very inconveniently placed screw that requires and allen wrench and doesnt have a lot of room for you to apply down pressure to make sure you dont strip the screw. In my case, i most likely wont be removing that screw and if i need to, the construction is made of metal and heat allows loctite to dissolve/melt away so you can remove screws or what have you easier. The reason for all of this is because if you dont use loctite, or constantly tighten this screw, and the one next to it you will have a lot of play on the pedal mount. Eventually just pressing your foot on the throttle will cause the entire pedal mount to rotate to the right and same goes for the left side.

Other than that the only other complain i have is that the mount for a shifter has a lot of play as well. Im constantly feeling the shifter whether its from fanatec or the g27 racing wheel set to move forward and backwards. In order to solve this problem i needed to use popped bubble wrap to help, not solve this problem. But if your storing this in minimal space like i am, your gonna be removing the shifter constantly and the wrap will tear. Im currently trying to solve this problem now thats its been a year of owning a playseat. All playseats are constructed the same, the only thing that changes is the seat or the color of the metal.

The great thing is this thing has tons of room under the seat for mods and the buttkicker gaming amp you can buy. Even if you have a fanatec racing wheel like me you dont need to worry, the g27 bolts right on, but the fanatec wheel comes with a template for drilling the holes, so as long as you have a drill and a bit you can easily fit almost any racing wheel onto this thing. The metal is very easy to drill through.

Just remember that this seat is not at all a good seat for use with PC games unless you like getting out of the seat every time you need to use a keyboard/mouse and wanna hunch over your setup and or desk. For just a tiny bit more you can find tons of better cockpits that will come with or allow you to later purchase keyboard, mouse, and monitor mounts.

Want NASCAR Video Game Racing Seat Discount?

Wow. I bought this on a recommandation from a friend that is less than forgiving. The Alcantara seat I originally ordered was on backorder (also a fine product another friend has one) but I couldn't wait. I upgraded my order. I have the G27 wheel and a major difference is the vibrations from the wheel transfers to the seat giving an extra dimension to the gameplay. I would strongly advise the seat slider if the regular players are of different heights. The seat adjusts easily enough for the occasinal visiting nephew/neice but with the range of ages in my house I would suggest the slider. Only problem is availability...damn brits just don't understand how serious we Americans are about pleasure. We don't get a month off every year or a hiatus every 5-6 years. Step up production if you wanna play in America!
