Today's Bonus:
We purchased Disney Sing It Pop Hits for our Daughter because she loved the first Disney Sing It and still plays it quite often after a couple years of owning it. This new and improved version has 30 songs total. In my opinion 25 of the songs are good and 5 are not so good. There are a lot of cool things about this new version has like being able to sing solo, as a duet or comtete head to head in multiplayer mode. You can play with 1 player or even up to 8 players total. The Sing It Pro mode will help teach you proper breathing and pitch techniques as well as how to riff and harmonize. There is also the ability to record your performances and play them back later, complete with video if you have the playstation eye. It has unlockable wallpapers and themes in order to make the game look the most visually appealing to you. It's a really cool game, I only wish it had more songs on it. Maybe they will offer more songs for download via the playstation store in the future. As of 12/24/09 there are no additional downloadable songs yet on the PSN Network
Since Amazon doesn't have the songs listed that are included on the game, I have listed them below for you.

"Fly on the Wall"
"The Climb"
"Hoedown Throwdown"
Demi Lovato

I read the reviews from people with HDTV's who could not sync the mike with the action on screen. I thought I'd have a whack at it myself, as my girls love the stars and songs featured in this game. Unfortunately I had the same results, a sound delay of a half second or more when singing in the microphone. It ruins the game and there is NO fix for the problem.I called the Sony PS3 tech support: No idea how to fix the problem.
I called Disney Interactive: No idea how to fix the problem.
I tried hooking up component cables instead of HDMI: No effect
Looked for a modification I could make in the game setup menu: None exists for this issue.
It's too bad. The videos are top notch and the songs are great, but the game is simply unplayable on an HDTV. PURCHASE THIS GAME AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BE PREPARED FOR THE PAIN OF PACKING IT UP AND SENDING IT RIGHT BACK!
Now I have to ask... I am using state of the art equipment with a state of the art recently released game. How in the HECK did the tech wizards at Disney let this glitch get past them without realizing that the game is unplayable???

I was a huge fan of MLB The Show 07, and didn't think Sony could really improve upon itself. Boy was I wrong! Here are just some of the improvements made.....
1. Improved graphics not as much of a cartoony look. Amazing looking fields, background animation (people playing with beach balls in the stands, just as examples) And this time people actually go for foul balls hit into the stands.
2. Improved stats This game track EVERYTHING, including how your player fares at the plate with various pitches, locations, pitchers, etc. It also has a better "training" mode in my opinion. Similiar to last year's, but a little more specific.
3. You can import your own soundtrack to play in the game. And the manual makes it very easy to do so.
The only thing that I found that was a negative so far is when you are fielding. If the batter takes a ball or strike, many times the at-bat starts over, with a 0-0 count.
They did say that you can play an entire game, and even save the game before a full game is completed. However, this DOES NOT APPLY to the "Road to the Show" mode.
If you want a baseball game that is realistic in just about every aspect, you need to buy this game. I played 07 until today, when I bought 08. And I am certain I will be playing this one until 09 comes out.

Hands down, this is the best baseball game on the market. Sony has taken the time and effort to perfect a baseball game with every aspect of realism you can have! From the people in the stands to the signiture moves of the players, to the unique not often repeated announcers... no game has ever gotten you closer to actually being at a ball park. I am an avid baseball fan, and I can say that I really look for authenticity when it comes to my sports (especially baseball games). The controls are perfect, not too crazy as well, which is very important. Overall, I'd say Sony has a huge winner when it comes to this game!I have been waiting for a quality MLB game to come out for the PS3 and saw that The Show was getting more attention than 2K8, so I preordered The Show. I played it today and I am blown away. This game is great. I love how simple basic gameplay is. You can get really good at this game, but at the same time, someone who has not played this game before will be able to pick it up and compete. HD graphics and THX sound. This game is excellent.Read Best Reviews of MLB 08 The Show Here
This is simply the best baseball game ever made. Is it perfect? No, but it's close.Everything it does, it does well. Hitting takes some practice, but after awhile it comes pretty easy. AI seems excellent. Graphics are great. The game will online and download the latest rosters for all the teams. ...Just get it.

Here's a real quick look at my credentials for this review, so you know I'm not biased: I played baseball for 15 years, including college. I have all 3 systems, and have played MLB 2K8 (on 360) and 08 The Show. This game has no rival. If you played the MVP series back when EA made excellent baseball games (before Take Two scored exclusive rights to the MLB with the exception of the already-standing agreement with Sony to make this one), then you remember what fluid, fun baseball can be like on a home console. The framerates are stellar, in 3 months worth of a season (haven't been able to stop playing yet) I have seen no reduction at all with broadcast presentations turned on. The presentations are as close to a real TV broadcast as it gets. The animations are spot-on, even the umpires are real (I saw a second baseman drop the ball when he was trying to get ready to throw it to first on a double play, the umpire actually signalled that it was on the transfer, and the runner was out I've never seen anything like that in a video game before).
In Road To The Show, with my player standing on third base, it really did feel like I was there. Instead of pausing the game to check how many outs there are, I simply had my player turn to look at the scoreboard in left. Coach requests make sense, you have to cover bases and back-up throws like you normally would, and your role actually feels like you're part of a team but still an individual trying to make it to The Show.
I took MLB 2K8 back within a few minutes of playing this gem. Highly recommended.
PROS:
* Realism in animations, presentations, and gameplay
* Road To The Show like a game within a game, or for most people THE game
* Controls are simple and feel natural to a baseball video game especially when controlling one player in RTTS
* Online with multiplayer and roster updates (a big deal when you have accurate rosters without having to force trades or manipulate the game)
* Improved coaching in RTTS
* Improved menus and stats all around
* Umpires and crowd react realistically (crowd plays with beach ball and reach for foul balls, umpires signal, duck, are inconsistent... just well done)
CONS
* Too many foul balls
* Some repeated dialogue (inevitable)
* Some bad minor league stadiums
* Long load times
Overall this is easily the best baseball game of this generation of consoles, and possibly within the last 5 years. A true next-generation experience.

I got this game because I thought it would be really fun to add myself into different movies. The selection of movies is pretty decent and they add more to purchase at the PSN Store. The only reason I can think of that the selection isn't outstanding is because of licensing and some more popular movies might be too expensive to justify adding scenes. That's unfortunate.
The way you add yourself into the movie is to light the room and step out of the way of the camera so it can take a picture of the backround and then anything added into the scene after that becomes part of the movie. Some people complained about lighting but in my personal experience I've had no trouble getting the proper amount. I just turn on the ceiling light and I even keep the blinds closed. The image is pretty good considering you're not using a green screen.
The best part about this game though is playing with a few other people and making up your own dialogue. The amount of "inside jokes" I now have with my siblings is incredible. We play it for a few hours, 2 to 3 times a week and it's really given us something to bond over. It's also really fun to use the "social" part of the game and see other people's scenes. Again, I really enjoy seeing the new twists people brings to the game.
Overall this is a really fun and creative game. If someone is looking to get something that makes it look like they are 100% part of the movie and something really professional, this isn't for you. If you want that, be in a real movie. If you're looking for a fun thing to do with family or friends this is absolutely worth buying.

Ok, let me first say that I am usually one of those people that waits until after a game comes out, reads the reviews and then makes a purchase decision or catches the game used and cheaper later. In this case, however, I was excited by Yoostar 2's premise and since my family and I like games that we can play together, I took a leap of faith on this game and bought it launch day. That part is my fault, I admit, but I still need to let others know my impressions.I have a huge urge to call this game a pile of steaming crap, but it does have a FEW merits. The idea is great, basically it is "movie karaoke", a chance to step into the shoes of actors in famous movie clips and reinact the part or ad-lib some new dialogue. The merits end with the idea though.
Let's get into the problems. First off, the camera is HIGHLY sensitive to the lighting in the room. If the lighting is not PERFECT, then the clip will have very noticeable tearing and pixelation that ruin the scene itself. I read all the lighting instructions, going to the guide and online for advice and following all the setup instructions to no avail. Still very bad and noticeable lines and pixelation around whoever is in the camera for the scene. I had the overhead light, two lamps, and the sun from outside and still had lighting issues.
Also, the game tells you to wear "contrasting" clothing to show up better. So you have to bring lights in from all over the house and change your clothes just to play, and still don't get what I would deem good results.
Next, I imagine it's tough to go through all the movies and find scenes that fit perfectly to a game like this, but come on. The selection is terrible. Not so much from the sense of what movies were picked, but from the point of the scenes themselves. Unless you learn word for word the dialogue of the scene you are reinacting, you have to look, obviously, at the screen to read the karaoke style dialogue so you know when to speak and what to say. This is problematic in that many of the scenes look stupid because your character is supposed to be facing the actor from the movie and yet you are staring into the camera talking to him while he / she talks to the side of your head. Also, the scenes are set up so that many times, no matter how you position yourself in the camera, that you are half the size of the other actor and just look badly out of place. The only scenes that really work with this game are the ones where the actor you are replacing is supposed to be looking right at the camera.
There are promises of new clips and downloadables coming on the Playstation Network, but that is pointless if the lighting issues and "attire" remain such a problem. Again, this game has a fun premise, but does not pull it off. If you want to wait until this thing is $12.99 in the used bin, you might have marginal fun with it, but if you pay the full $49 like I did, you are getting a bad experience, a lot of frustration, and not a lot of fun. Hold off on this until it's cheap or skip it altogether and you won't be missing much.

I love the idea of inserting yourself into your favorite movie scenes. It only really pays off if you are inserted seamlessly. This game has a really hard time of doing that if you have stuff in your living room(or wherever you are playing). I had terrible results until I hung a plain(pattern free) blanket as the background. After that, it worked pretty good, but not perfect.
With this limitation, it it would not make a good party game. Its more of a fun time by yourself or one friend(there are two person scenes).
You can upload your scenes to the ps3 community, facebook and twitter. This is a nice touch.
Most of the scenes that are offered are classics(blues brothers, blazing saddles, forest gump, terminator, kindergarten cop, ferris beuller, Rocky, just to name a few), others feel misplaced or are the wrong scenes from otherwise great movies or TV(tropic thunder, CSI: Miami, Shaun of the Dead). Another 20 or so of the 80 advertised are things like a beach scene, or mountains background with no lines to say, just ad libbing. I guess these would be cool for improv stuff.
What I have played, I have really enjoyed. The scenes that you mess up are even funnier than the good ones.
It was just frustrating out of the box I had a hard time playing the game with good results, but it can be done with some trial and error.

Modnation

ModNation Racers seeks to do what no other kart racer has done; allow unlimited customization and involve a community to be creative and share their ideas. While it's similar to LittleBigPlanet because of the "Race, Create, Share" tag that Sony and United Front Games have put onto this title, I feel that it expands on this idea even further than Media Molecule's hit. The controls and interface a simple to navigate and the developer went to great lengths to personalize the experience with ModNation Racers.
Everything you do within the game occurs in the ModSpot. A central hub where about 5 other players (when you're online) will congregate and you can see them drive around. There are all kinds of things to do in the ModSpot. Here you have access to the races, including Online, Online Split-Screen (up to 2 players split-screen), Offline Split-Screen (up to 4 players split-screen) and the Career Mode.
The Online racing experience is pretty smooth. Players can join a random match, or they can host matches with their friends, or just for other players to join. You can choose to race with "XP Mode" where your online profile will gain XP to rank up among other players. The competition is pretty intense though, so make sure you're familiar with how to handle the karts before heading to this mode. If you're not in the "XP" mood, you can just race casually for fun. All of your stats from races are tracked to your profile, and you can see the stats for each track that you've raced on as well.
Driving karts is a breeze. I equate this something slightly more complicated than Mario Kart 64. You accelerate and brake, fire weapons after picking up the powerups, and you *absolutely* must learn how to drift. Pressing and holding the 'X' button allows you to perform a drift around corners which fills a boost meter on the side of the screen. The boost meter is used for sideswiping opponents, boosting your speed, or using the shield equipped to your kart. It will take a lot of practice to get the timing down on your shield as it only lasts a few seconds with a full meter of boost, but it can make the difference between placing 1st and getting blown away at the last second of the final lap. Weapons come in 3 different styles: Missiles, Lightning and Sonic attacks. Each powerup can be upgraded up to 3 times. Stage 1 attacks are pretty light and can only hit 1 car (the Sonic level 1 weapon has a pulse discharged from around the car so it could potentially hit multiple enemies), Stage 2 attacks will hit 2 to 3 racers in front of you, and level 3 attacks can knock everyone out (think 'Blue Shell' from Mario Kart) if you manage to fire it from last place. It can be difficult to do this though, as if you are hit with a weapon, you will lose your current weapon and have to pick up a new powerup. Weapons appear to be random too, just like other kart racers.
So far, it sounds like a pretty good game right? Well, it is; the only catch is that with each thing that you do in this game, you might as well take a bathroom break or go fix a sandwich, because you will literally be waiting over a minute for some of the tracks to load. Not that this is a game-breaking deal for me though, the developer has stated that they will be patching the game to reduce load times which will be a well-liked feature when it is finally released.
The Career mode pits you the player against 25 different courses with challenges and shortcuts littered throughout the courses. It will probably take you a few tries to beat each track, especially since there are "achievements" within each track to unlock new items used in the Creation Studios. You will likely want to collect all of these, as the creation tools expand exponentially every time you add a new item to your creative pallet. Some of these challenges are "Grudge Matches", where after defeating an opponent on the track AND finishing 1st place, that opponent will challenge you 1-on-1 for the right to use their mod in the game. These matches are TOUGH, and you will need to be an expert at the course and handling your kart if you even are going to stand a fighting chance at beating these. Also littered on each course are tokens that can be used to purchase new items in the Shop, which is located in the ModSpot and the Creation Studio.
Now for the cream of the crop: the Creation Studio. Everyone has likely been comparing this game to Little Big Planet because of the customization you can do. In my opinion, this allows way more customization of your character than LittleBigPlanet. Through the use of unlocked accessories, hair pieces, clothing, shoes, gloves, hats, eyes, ears, noses, mouths, etc. you have the option to make your character as strange or awesome as you see fit! After putting the body together, you can change the color of anything you place on your mod, including different styles (which can be tweaked with a full color wheel) that can be unlocked. The color system is something that I tremendously applaud for this game. Anytime you place an object on your mod, or use something of a certain color, that color is added to either of the "Mod Colors", or "Kart Colors", so you can easily match colors and set things up just the way you want quickly and easily. It's so easy I was able to create look-alike characters from TV shows and movies within just a few minutes. There also is an aspect of stickers for the creation studios where you can layer and tweak each and every sticker that you want to put on your mod. From shapes, letters, numbers and other decals like flames, etc. you can dream up your imagination and put it on your mod or kart. Then you can resize, rotate, skew, cut, copy, layer and repaste your sticker designs on other parts of your mod or kart and even save them as sticker sets to use again later.
Each portion of the Creation Studio is divided into sub-menus which are not too complicated, but you will need more than just the game's instruction manual to become a master. UFG really did an excellent job with the creators, allowing simple creation, or really advanced creation. Each part you put on your mod or kart can be left as is when it first goes on, or you can dive into the deep customization abilities to create something so genuine that only you could create it. The L2 and R2 buttons are used to move to the next "area" of that specific menu, and the L1 button is usually reserved for advanced / basic edit toggling. The triangle button is typically the color option, whereby a color wheel can be viewed by pressing triangle again. Once you get the system under your belt you'll be amazed at the creations that you can come up with in ModNation Racers.
To top it off, you can then select your mods and karts that you have created, OR downloaded to race with friends and online/offline. That's right. Upload your creations to the PlayStation Network, and let other people download them. You can also allow players to "remix" your creation, where they will edit your creation and then re-upload it to the PSN. You still get the "creator" credit, and they get the remix credit. This system is absolutely solid, and it works extremely well. The Share spot of ModNation Racers is really easy to use and the developers took care to make sure that the karts, mods and tracks people create would be easy to find and download. There's an area for "Most Downloaded", "Most Raced", "Newest", or you can search by keywords which are used to describe your creation when you publish it.
The Track Studio is the only creator I haven't talked about. It's massive, and incredibly deep. Choose from 1 of 4 themes for your track and you drive a steam-roller to pave your track. You can create a simple loop, or you can go back and add monster jumps, bridges, tunnels, bank the road, make it narrow, add road hazards like construction barrels, crates, even rotating platforms. I could literally write a whole review on just this editor. It is that deep. You can change the elements and the direction that the sun shines, level of the water, and the type of road you will drive on. You can also create shortcuts, forks in the road, and add boost pads and weapons. Just like in LittleBigPlanet, all of the tracks in the career mode were made using the Track Studio. It's just incredible.
I played this game for literally 7 hours straight and I could not stop playing. It is FUN to play, and the community's imagination will blow you away. I saw downright amazing mods that looked like Mario, Iron Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and even the Master Chief from Halo. Over the coming months players will upload unlimited content to choose from, and race from. If you don't like what other players do, create your own! It's that easy. Oh, and if you're worried about creating a super-looking track that people would actually want to play, you can just Auto-Populate your track in the editor which automatically adds scenery and gameplay items to the track so it looks like it took hours to make, when in reality it was only mere minutes.
I've waited a long time for a game like this to surface. Finally we have something on the PS3 which rivals the greatest kart racers of all time. Long load times will be fixed down the road, but the next generation of kart racing is here. If you're skeptical about your purchase, download the demo off the PSN. Trust me though when I say, if you buy this game, you will NOT be disappointed.

Modnation Racers is the newest Kart Racing game in the Genre, and in my opinion, it is way ahead of the competition. Of course, this game is being compared to Mario Kart. Having never played the newest Mario Kart for Wii, I can't really compare the two much. I have, although played the older Mario Kart, and if the Wii version is nearly the same, I believe Modnation Racers tops it.The Good: Modnation Racers is the kind of game that anybody can enjoy. The Track, Mod, and Kart creator are super simple and it has loads of different hairstyles, clothes, shoes, stickers, accessories, etc. I can easily see this having a huge library of user created content just like LittleBigPlanet. When you start the game, you automatically are entered into the MRC Qualifiers race and after a brief introduction you are taken to the ModSpot. Here is where everything happens on Modnation Racers, such as entering Online races, Split Screen, and Career races. There is also an area where Top Mods and Karts are displayed. I've seen mods of Mario, Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Joker, and many more. With this many mods in just a few days, I'm positive there will be a TON of amazing mods in weeks. Other players connected to the PSN are also in the same ModSpot as you and can just ride around drifting or just simply enter one of the areas in the ModSpot.
The controls are also great. Drifting is easy and insanely addicting. When racing an Action Race, collect pods and you receive weapons. If you're tired of getting blown up, select Pure Race. Before you enter a race in the Career Mode, there is a little cinematic, sometimes with these two Hosts, or with you and your mechanic. These cinematics are filled with humor to give you a laugh or two before a race.
The Bad: The load and install times on this game can get ridiculously long. Though it's not something to keep you away from the game, sometimes you'll just want to jump into a race but have to wait almost an entire minute to begin. Mic support is a good feature, but I wish there wasn't so many people cursing and talking crap through their headsets, but there isn't really a way to fix that. Other than those two things listed, there really isn't much I've run into that is degrading to the game. *One more bad I ran into recently is that it takes forever to start up an XP race, which is what gives you the chance to progress on the Multiplayer side of Modnation. I'm not sure if people just don't know their way around the menus, or they all want to just race casually. Although it's a little disappointing as of now, I'm positive that in a short amount of time there will be much more people on the XP races*
Overall, in just a few days that people have had the game, there has been some really neat creations coming from the community. Hopefully in the future, there will be an update to help the load times.
All PS3 owners, GET THIS... or at least try it. :)Lets make one thing clear right off: if you liked LittleBigPlanet and you like Mario Kart and other cart racers... stop reading and buy this game now!
Especially at the current price listed on Amazon (plus 10$ credit) which leads me to beleive its not selling well becasue people are hesitant, I can understadn that, so was I but a little preorder premotion and I thought "what the heck?" and I'm glad I made the plunge even at full fair (I got my Ratchet and Clank Mods for it so I'm happy)
That said, this game really surprised me, as I said before this was somethign of an impulse for me, I enjoyed the demo well enough for waht it was, but what really pushed me over the top was the preorder R+C mods, they get me every time :)
The first thing that I was surprised by was the imediate plunge into a rather enjoyable story including cutscenes which for some reason I did not expect at all. The story is somethign of a remix between Pixar's Cars, Days of Thudner, and Talldega Nights, and althoug the influence is storng, it has its own twist and flavor coupled with fantastic voice acting, the results are gold. The two announcers really steal the show, which is good becasue you'll be listening to alot of them, they have yet to get repetitive for me but its only been a day.
The racing, which i enjoyed in the demo, was not done justice by said demo. its great, drifting is much easier to pull off than Mario Kart, even the wii iteration which is incredibly drift friendly. But thats part-in-parcell with the MNR attitude, drifting is easiy and FUN, boosts are plentiful, jumps are abundant and weapons are thouroughly satisfying (you might remember soem of them from Mario Kart, adn the rest from wipeout ;) )
Right away I was amazed with the user creations in Character Mods, Kart Mods, and Courses. I'll save discusion of coruses for one paragraph. The Mods peopel have made are AMAZING considering its day one. It's definately a diparture from the LBP attitude where Sackboy retained his likness no mattter what making certain customues something of a technical feat. In MRC the tools are much more robust, and the result is (among other's) and Iron MAn that you'd swear was designed in Maya as opposed to in-game. KArts are the same thing, I'm currently racing around on a perfect replica of the A-team van, how awesome?
Course creation is ABSURDLY easy, another departure from LBP. I made two courses in barely 20 minutes total which I'm sure would impress my friends, but when you sample soem of the things created by a truely dedicated player, well the results speak for themselves.
Unfortunately this leads me into the only bad... they did a great job which this hub world where other onlien palyers race around with you, very reminiscant of Home, but its pretty hard to get into an online game as it stands. I wasn't feling very patient so I din't bother wating around for peopel to join me, especailly as they would enevitably be strangers. Unfortuantely none of my freinds have purchased this game which might make a difference but if you liek me, most likly alone in your friend group on you interest in this game, you might find getting into an actual online race a bit of a pain. this combined with soem rather cumbersome loading times is a bit of a stumblign block on what is otherwise non-stop fun. But on the other hand the ability to access other peoples content on you own time is incredibly easiy, with fantastic AI on nonplayer opponents, adn a time trail mode which allows you to feel like your part of a larger comunnity without hte hassle of finding any of them to race with you.
And the single palyer circuit is fantastic! That alone will keep me happy for hours I'm sure.
All in all, this game is a great Kart racer, with very robust user creation tools and a well thoughout and setup infastructure for sahring them, clearly United Front Games learned from LBP in this regard. But for a game which is so clearly ment for online play its a bit difficult to get into a gme and more importantly share a game with others. To be fair, some of this is equation has to do with the ammount of user's, but it felt like I only had access to one game option when I tried to join, whcih was empty, an no one joined my hosted games, its hard to say why, it jsut was. I will edit if this experience drmatically changes. But also the laod times are a bit logner then we have coem to expect, I've heard a patch is comming but this game was day one patched as well...
But I don't want to end on hat note because this game really blew my mind in all the right ways and if you have an interest in the genre then its a steal at full price let alone what its listed on Amazon. You will not be sorry you picked up this little gem. Obviously thsoe who dislike Kart Racing games need not aply.
P.S. for the record I own and LOVE Mario Kart Wii, this game is not a MK killer, but its worthy to be right up there with it.

To start off with, the game play of this title is Fun with a capital F. Think Mario Kart on steroids. The user created content that you can download is unbelievable. I am amazed by the artistic ability of people. But by now, you've read the other reviews about the game play , etc etc, so I will not go into the details just to beat a dead horse. For me, as much fun and original as this game is, I find myself thinking about returning it to Game Stop or simply selling it on eBay.
One of the features that was in Mario Kart which I absolutely loved and would be game-breaking without, was the different "cup" series. Each MK cup series had its own difficulties based on tracks and opponents. MNR does not have a single player version. There is a multi player mini-series (if can really call it that), where you can play 5 tracks in succession. That's fine and dandy except I don't think I've finished a singles series. Maybe got through two or three races before the other players dropped.
The career mode was very hard and I'm not knocking it at all, but I would have liked it a lot better had they included a true championship mode (even if you need to unlock it somehow) where you can race some/all the tracks in a series against the elite CPU drivers that you faced in the career mode storyline; a series that would tally points for you and the computer, based on your finishing position of each race and let you race all the tracks and give a 'Champion' at the end. What you are given instead, is a career mode angled toward the user created content. Most of your unlocks during the play through are for cosmetic tools and graphics for your track/mod/kart creations down the line. Also, once you go through the career mode and go back and run a previous race in it...it still splashes the same cut scenes you already encountered at the same points. In fact, if you re-race a track in career mode, you actually unlock the same items you've already unlocked. I'm not sure why they even called it a "Career Mode", it should have been titled "Story Mode". Even though they do include some rudimentary stats for your 'offline' play, there really is no offline career to be had. All career-"centric" play time is centered on the online-multi player scene.
And currently the online multiplayer piece of this game is lacking. Most of the time, you enter an online race and you are the first one in the lobby. It could easily take 5-10 minutes to get enough players (4) to start a race. If you are lucky, those players will stick around for another race afterwards. If not, it starts from square one, with you waiting for other players to join.
I am sure, without a doubt, that the load times for the races and the multi player aspect of the game will be fixed with future patches and I don't have a problem waiting for it; my main beef is not having the single player option to run a series as it completely ruins the re-playability of MNR for me. So all in all, if you are into creativity and multi-player racing is your thing, then this game is for you. As I said, with the glaring problems the game has in the online world, I have no doubt they are working on a fix and you should definitely go out and buy this title.I've only owned ModNation Racers for a couple days, but I'm already absolutely certain this is the best kart racer ever made (sorry Mario Kart). This is, simply put, the LittleBigPlanet of racing games.
The base game and tracks are fun in themselves, but the real beauty here lies with all of the customization. Everything from your racer, your kart, to every little detail of the track you're making is fully customizable. You can choose to make your racer into somebody famous, or choose to make them into something totally outlandish. All the options and how to utilize them are easily learned, so much so that my kids were creating some pretty impressive things in almost no time at all. Even the track creator is amazingly simple to use, much more so than LittleBigPlanet's level creator.
The load times can get a bit tedious, but with how smooth the frame rates and overall gameplay are, it's well worth the wait. Replay value is tremendous, and the community is already loaded with user-created content to check out. This game is definitely kid friendly in almost all aspects, but if you let your kids play online I wouldn't recommend letting them wear a headset, as foul language is rampant and not moderated. That's not the game's fault though, it's pretty much the same with any other online-enabled game out there.
Overall, ModNation Racers is a great game, and I would highly recommend it for young and old alike.

Excellent gamepad for the price, its sturdy, the L2 R2 triggers feel very nice, the analog joysticks are very precise, and the precision aim button comes in very handy for FPS's. There is no driver/software cd in the package, you have to go to Saitek's website to download them. I was having a problem with the SST software (which maps keyboard, mouse, and hotkey commands to the controller) because it was crashing my games. I later figured out that having keyboard commands mapped to the controller in games with gamepad support causes a conflict. So, Only use the keyboard mapping software in games with no gamepad support and you should be problem free. All in all its a great product, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is comfortable with a PS2/PS3 style controller.

Its a good pad overall, but the sticks are in square gates with rounded corners that make it difficult to play games like MLB2k10 that require you to make precise circular motions at the periphery of the gate.Buy Saitek PP32 PS2700 Rumble Pad for use Now
The second that i got this controller in hand, I was very impressed. I have semi-small hands, and i was afraid that this controller would be to big and bulky...It was not. The Feel of the controller is very comfortable, and surprisingly only weighs about 2 pounds! The whole reason that i bought this controller, was
for the ability to switch the positions of the left joystick and directional pad. I was relieved when i noticed that when i do switch the joystick and pad, that
in addition to changing their place on the controller, the functions of the joystick and directional pad migrate with them when they switch! so no mater what
position you have them in, the functions for the game that your playing for the joystick and the directional pad stay assigned to their intended devices so only
the positions have switched. for Example...
let's treat the joystick as F1 and the Directional pad as F2.
now you start playing a game where the fuctions to navigate
the Game Menu are only assigned to F2, and the functions to
control the in-game character are only assigned to F1.
when you switch the places of F1 & F2 on the controller,
F2 will remain assigned to the Menu and F1 will remain
assigned to controlling the in-game character.
You'll be supprised to see how many "Hard to control" games become playable with this controller. It has really changed my opinion about Several games already.
Trust me, this will change the way that you look at PS2 & PS3 games.
also, this controller has an added bonus of functioning as a PC Computer GamePad!
The following Operating systems should already have the necessary drivers for this Device:
Windows XP(All Editions) Service Pack 3.
Windows Vista(All Editions) Service Pack 1 & 2.

Hey my name is Corey Jones. I purchased the Saitek Cyborg Controller from Cordolio.com through Amazon.com... I have to say that the services was great and the product was promising. The product itself gets a 9.7 out of 10 from me cause it is an amazing controller with very minor minor minor design flaw. Again 9.7 out of 10 excellent controller and the people who sent me the controller gets a 10 out of 10 they were quick with the delivery and helpful with it. I bought it used and it got a little roughed up in the mail, but that's because the postal workers didn't do their job well, Cordolio.com on the other hand made sure that it was packaged properly and when I told them of this problem, they were happy to send me a better working controller for no extra cost. I say if anyone wants to buy a really great gaming product, they should buy from Cordolio.com products on Amazon!!!I mean the whole idea of the controller is pretty cool, the fact that you can switch it from the ps3 style to the xbox style is something I've never heard of so when I saw this controller I had to try it out. But realistically it seems like the controller buttons aren't made nearly as durable as I'd like. 2 weeks after I bought it the buttons started to fall into the controller itself I guess and got much harder to actually press with me having to consciously try and press the button instead of being able to do a fluid motion. Now a few weeks after that the controller buttons hardly work and I'm going to buy another replacement here shortly most likely, cool idea, worked great at first, just not built to last. Overall a bad investment if you are looking to buy one to last.

I got this as my 3rd controller for my ps3 slim, and I must say I'm pretty impressed with it. Comes with the internal battery that charges just like the regular controllers, uses the same blue-tooth system that the Original controllers do(so no using up a usb port with the wireless transmitter like some other 3rd party products do) The middle P3 button (PS3 on sony's controllers) works perfect, It works pretty much flawlessly, the feel of the trigger buttons is a little different, but still work great.
The only thing that I have a little issue with is the left thumb click, while holding up and trying to click it, its a little tough, this may only be this controller because every other direction and the other thumb stick click just fine, even so, as I said I'm very impressed. I've used other generic controllers before and this is by far the best one that I've used yet. So if you're looking for another controller, but don't want to drop $40-55 on the actual Sony controllers I'd recommend this, I'm probably going to get another one for myself. If I have any problems with it in the future I will update this post.
Update: After having it for a few months, sometimes after playing for 20 or so minutes the controller starts to "lag" I'll move and it will take a second for it to respond on the game, but this could be because I'm using this about 20 feet away from the console.

I loathed Part 1 with a passion. The controls were clunky and largely unresponsive, the graphics, save for a few character models, were muddy and poorly textured, and the gameplay was rudimentary at best with ridiculous and repetitious side missions that did nothing more than to give the player the illusion it was more varied than it really was. Well a year has passed since that last disaster and I have to say that EA has largely corrected the nagging issues I had with the first game.
One major gripe I had with Part 1 was the unresponsiveness of the controls when trying to take cover and how I would sometimes get hit with spells regardless if I was behind cover. The controls in Part 2 overall feel tighter. If you see an object you want to duck behind, you're most likely going to be able to without issue. The spell cast system has also been updated. Gone is the cumbersome weapon wheel. Not only did it distract from the action, it was overall pointless given that Stupefy was the only practical spell to use against enemies. Now you can switch in between spells with the click of a button which really opens up combat since it allows you to easily cast one-two combos at your foes. The game also encourages you to try different spells given the situation. For instance, Stupefy is good for short ranged enemies while horrible for enemies that are across the map. Expelliarmus helps to break an enemy's Protego shield so you can then finish him or her off with an Expulso spell which shoots rapid fire orbs. The aiming reticule has also been polished. In Part 1, it tended not to stick on enemies in crucial moments. In Part 2, not only does it stick, it forces you not to spam the trigger button as doing so leads to erratic shooting. It's best to measure your shots so you'll know they're going to hit. Overall, I liked the combat. The fights were hectic with spells shooting over my head from all directions. At moments, I had to remind myself that there was no reload button as I took out Death Eaters coming from my right and my left while dug deep behind a wall.
Gameplay has also improved. There are no more pointless side quests or stealth missions that took away from the focus of the main narrative. Part 2 is strictly a linear affair with you plodding from checkpoint to checkpoint to progress the story along. The graphics seem much crisper this time around with more open and varied environments and impressive lighting. I liked how the game allowed you to play as different characters during the second half of the game. Granted, the mechanics are the same, yet it was a nice and welcomed variation. As a fan of the book, I was happy to be playing from different perspectives during the Battle of Hogwarts. The battle was a team affair with many heroes, not just Harry.
Now with the good, comes some of the bad. As much as I enjoyed the combat, it's basically the equivalent of whack-a-mole: Duck behind cover, wait till the enemy pokes out his or her head, and then shoot. There is very little variation to it as well. You either walk into a section of the map which triggers a slew of enemies to come charging out or you have to protect Hermione's backside as she tries to open a door. Not until the ending chapters which includes a fun chase sequence involving Harry and Professor McGonagall fighting a giant, etc., does the monotony break up a little bit. The game is also mercilessly short, about 4 hours and some change, for a $50 game with little replay value other than to boost your online rankings in some challenges which can be found in the main menu.
I'll never know why the last game of such a fantastic series of books and movies was more of a whimper than a grandiose send off. Part 2 is a lot better than Part 1, yet it still feels like a budget title. Though the movies have exceeded expectations, the last four or five games released by EA have been nothing more than decent to poor. Was this due to budgetary cuts or is it really as they say, difficult to produce a quality game based on a movie? Regardless, this may very well be the last Harry Potter game that we will see for quite some time (save Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7) and despite not living up to the source material, they have been a part of my Harry Potter universe as much as the movies, cups, t-shirts, key chains and action figures were. In the end, we can hope that a different developer can give this property the imagination and care it deserves.

I have owned and played every Harry Potter game except the one about Quidditch. I even have the Lego Harry Potter game on console and PSP. I am a huge Potter fan. This game is not very good. I know they tried, but EA Bright Light has failed, failed, failed on every HP game since Prisoner of Azkaban. Goblet of Fire was ok, but it was the transition into failure. I know where they went wrong. They concentrated on making a movie-based game rather than capturing the heart and magic of Harry Potter. This last game, DH2, is a shooter. A shooter for Wizards. A cover-based shooter. It's one protracted fight scene after another. Boring, repetitive, on rails. DH1 was also a shooter, but it was a little more fun than DH2. I played this game with the Move, and I did like that aspect.
Only because I'm a big Potter fan did I give it a generous 3 star. I do not recommend this game to anyone.

I will begin this review by stating that the first video game I ever purchased myself was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the original PlayStation. I absolutely loved it! Granted, I was 11 when the game was released and, so, more easily amused. But what was fantastic about the first three Harry Potter video games was the amount of exploration available to the player and the puzzle-solving platforms. You could really get to know the world of Harry Potter as well as get your mind working to solve a few problems. "Deathly Hallows Part II", however, is an excuse for the makers to use formulaic battle scenes to try and fit into a single story. I was disappointed and frustrated that the game was simply a repeat in every battle I took part in.Even if you are a Harry Potter fan and want to "experience" everything the franchise has to offer, do not attempt to waste your money.Great game and very fun. My two kids enjoy it very much. They are playing all day. It is quite different. I am very pleased thet I bought it.

I must preface this review by stating that I have been a fan of the NCAA Football series since it was "Bill Walsh Football". I have become accustomed to each year only having a few updates and modest improvements and those have been enough to satisfy my needs as a college football enthusiast.
THIS LATEST INSTALLMENT LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED.
I play this game as follows: 50% of the time is spent in dynasty mode, 25% is spent playing against friends, 25% is spent playing online. With that said, dynasty mode is the mode that I obviously really focus on. I was alarmed to find out as soon as I booted up dynasty mode that it starts soliciting you to buy "add ons" that you would think would be standard. You have to pay an additional $2.50 per add-on ($12.50 for the total dynasty add-on package) -via the PSN store to have things such as a second pipeline state, a recruiting advisor etc.
EA could have greatly improved dynasty mode this year by releasing these new options as standard features instead of gouging for more $$$.
It's not that the add-ons are expensive, but its that they are unwarranted and it is a matter of principle. I can honestly say that this will very likely be the last time I purchase a release from the NCAA Football series.

EA Sports has finally made a challenging football game. Playing the CPU on Heisman mode is like playing last year's Madden on Your Level. The game now adapts to the way you play just like a real (good) coach does. You can't run that option over and over, you will get stuffed! In addition to making CPU play harder and more realistic, there is a new mode called Season Showdown where you chose your favorite team and everything you do on and offline gets tallied toward an end of the season winner. In Season Showdown mode, you get points based on many categories including Skill (making certain plays yourself), Strategy (Choosing the upcoming play type while on defense and successfully stopping it), and Sportsmanship ( where good sports that don't go for it on 4th get points and those that do or run up the score get them taken away). There is also an online trivia component where you go to the EA Sports website and answer 10 trivia questions each week for points. During the season, each week you can play your team's game online against players from the other team to get points. You get points whether you win or lose, but you get more for winning. Season Showdown is a great way to show support for your favorite team and it also gives a rating so when you are in a lobby you can tell if someone who is participating in Season Showdown will go for it every 4th or not and if they know how to stop plays by looking at their Strategy rating.
Teambuilder is another new mode where you can go to the EA Sports website and create your own school and design the uniforms, stadium and player names and attributes and then download it into the game. And you can use your Teambuilder teams in online dynasties, which is pretty cool.
Online dynasties are better, you can now create a custom team conference by swapping your members teams with teams in an existing conference. For example you can swap all the Big 12 teams with all 12 of your dynasty member's teams. This makes it easier for scheduling user vs user games. They also fixed last year's bug where you talked a player into staying (from going to the NFL draft or transferring to another school) they and they still left. The recruiting process is more involved now, you can talk down other schools the recruit is interested ins attributes and you have a recruiting adviser that tells you when someone is ready to sign, is interested in your school or gets a call from a mom who tells some of a recruit's interests.
The other new addition is Road To Glory, which has been in the game before but is vamped up with a video segment on your player after winning games that is hosted by Erin Andrews, who discusses your play during the game with Herbstriet and shows auto saved highlights from the game. Look for a similar video show presentation in Madden NFL 10 which will have a video show for the online leagues showing highlights from members of the leagues teams each week.
PROS
Season Showdown It has brought a new sense of competition to the game, where everything you do helps your favorite school in the rankings.
Adaptive CPU Play You have to really be on your toes to win against the CPU on Heisman mode now. All American mode is as hard as Heisman in NCAA Football 09.
Road to Glory Your player is now ranked so you can see how others playing on your favorite team are doing. Plus you get to see Erin Andrews. lol.
Family Mode This is another adaptation from Madden, which has an easy mode. Now, you can play a tough game against grandma. Family mode is a very simplified set of controls where even your sister can make a TD pass. So now, just about anyone can play and be good at it.
PS3 Trophies For the first time you get trophies for your game play.
Tweaks to Graphics Close ups are more polished, although most of the graphics are the same. Marching bands are now shown pre game and they have added additional uniform settings and TD animations (My team, USF, can now do the horns hand sign after TDs)
Players Are More Realistic No More sub 4.3 40 yard dash players. Speed is not as much a factor as ability to catching or running through a tackle.
Ability to Tweak Team Play Now you can tweak how your D and O play on different aspects such as blocking or tackling, with choices being Aggressive, Normal, And Conservative.
Cons
EA has now gone the money route. Additional items, like "Dynasty Accelerators" where you get things like an extra pipeline state in Dynasty Mode you have to play for, WITH REAL MONEY! You want to be a 5 star high school recruit in Road To Glory? You can pay for it now, 2 bucks. If you lost your manual for the game, you won't be able to download your Teambuilder team to the game without paying for it. And if you want to download other teams you have to pay for each team. Its not quite as bad as they have done with Tiger Woods Golf, but look for more of it in future additions depending on how successful they are this year.
Adaptive CPU Play I know, I said it was a Pro, but its both. I am seeing players struggling in Dynasties that are set at Heisman mode, good players. When someone is ranked high against other players (top 1000) plays a game against the cpu in Heisman mode with Penn St and loses to Akron, you know something is wrong. Luckily, the CPU sliders are still included in this addition. Sliders can be adjusted to so that CPU and User play can be adjusted, like increase the likelihood your receiver will catch balls or your QB will throw more accurately.
Graphics and Presentation While I know that they have worked more on game play and features this past edition, it would be nice to see a better presentation. Not all the mascots are in 2010 yet, there are more in the PS2 version. Many of the lines of the commentators are the same they have used for several versions now. The graphics are pretty much the same, although you get a glimpse of some better graphics during the brief close ups after plays.
Putting your D on Aggressive Stripping the Ball results on face mask penalties on just about every play. Its pretty much useless.
The video is pretty repetitive in Road To Glory. Heck Erin doesn't even have a wardrobe change. It would be nice to see her change wardrobe, and spice up the video some.
Overall, great improvements to last year's game. Much of this is because Tiberon, who makes the game for EA Sports, let seasoned NCAA gamers have a day with the game early enough in development to get input and use it to change and tweak the game before it was shipped. They also did this to Madden this year.
UPDATE: The more I play Madden, the less I like NCAA 10. Why? On the harder settings its like work. And conversely, Madden is pretty fun, even when you are losing. On the harder settings in NCAA 10, one mistake can cost you the game. The game presentation is boring and rather dull compared to Madden. Even though I am #1 for my school in Season Showdown, I still am considering selling my copy. Hopefully next year EA Sports will take the things that work in NCAA 10 and Madden separately and include them in both of next year's offering.I purchased each game in the series for many years. Not much has really changed in the last few years, so I didn't expect too much from this one either. The gameplay is imporved from last year dramatically. The CPU is more intelligent and seems to react to what you are doing better (such as coverage, play calling, audibles, etc). However there are time when you really wonder (such as when the CPU calls a quarter defense when you are in the goal line formation running the clock down). The graphics are imporved, however they are not as polished as they should be for a next gen game (at times they are SLOW). The plays themselves are a copy from last year, no change (could be negative or positive).
I mostly play the dynasty mode and that is where my main grips are. In order to be really competative in a online (or just a normal dynasty unless you choose the easiest settings or re-sim everything 20 million times to get perfection) you really are going to feel the need to buy those dynasty add on's. And those are where most of the controversies are. You just spent a ton of money to buy the game and now you have to go and fork over about a quarter of another ton to get all of the dynasty add ons. Once you get them, you come to realize many of them are just junk and do nothing. Why in the world do I care about an add on that gives me the time I spent with a recruit in a week? However the recruiting advisor however, does come in handy.
For EA Sports greed is the sole reason I think this game deserves a two star rating. Madden follows this 'charge more for add on's', as well as many of the other EA Sports franchises. If you purchase the game anyway, at least give EA Sports two cents about the extra money!!!

In the age of technology in which we currently live, it's impossible to fathom how a next generation football game takes a step back from '09 to '10. In last year's version, if you fielded a good team, you could manipulate the audibles and the defense would react the same way every time. If you needed 15 yards, you could get 20. It got to the point where I would stop calling certain plays in the playbook because it was guaranteed to work every time. That has been fixed this year but for several reasons, this game takes two steps back.NCAA Football 2010 ushered in some unforgivable mistakes that sink this game all the way to complete mediocrity, such as fumbles when the other team needs the ball back, facemask penalties when they need a first down, and a completely idiotic camera angle which happens when you accidentally click the L3 button when trying to rush the quarterback (which happens to be the same button that moves your defensemen). Once you click the button, if you don't click it again in time you end up off sides because down causes your player to move up and up causes the player to move down and if you're trying to blitz the quarterback, you're trying to figure this out before he snaps the ball because you're already off sides. This happens to me about ten times a game, about half of which wind up in a penalty. I'm forced to play the other half from the idiotic camera view which is so worthless that I don't even play the down.
The worst of these miscues is easily the facemask. I turned the facemask penalty slider as low as it would go and I still get flagged for it 4-8 times every game, usually on third and 10+ so the other team can get a first down. The computer NEVER gets flagged for facemask, or any other penalties for that matter. Penalties only apply to the user and not the AI. This is unacceptable. Also, if you try and play conservatively with the lead, yeah, you fumble the ball and the defense recovers. I once had a 27 point lead in the 4th quarter when I fumbled the ball. The defense returned for a touchdown, kicked off, I fumbled the return, the computer scored on the next play, recovered an onside kick, threw a bomb for a touchdown, RECOVERED ANOTHER ONSIDE KICK, and slowly drove down the field and scored with barely any time left on the clock. I realize that EA needed to make this game more challenging, but there are better ways to do that than creating ways for the computer to cheat. A couple of other maddening issues worthy of mention include tipped passes and defensive AI. My tipped passes end up intercepted while the computer's float haphazardly into the hands of the intended receiver for a thirty yard gain. They intercept nearly every mistake I make while my defense will drop three balls thrown straight to them on the same drive. Also, the computer always makes defensive plays on the ball whereas you can try and swat or intercept the ball during the play and rarely does it ever work. I'm beginning to think that these "mistakes" are intentional so that consumers will break the disc in half in a fit of rage and go buy another. Seriously, how does this happen after twenty years of experience?
I learned my lesson with EA years ago. They no longer get any of my money. Every EA game I buy comes from Ebay or used from Amazon. I also wait until I can get them for less than $20 so that I'm not pissed when I get ripped off like this. Every year I read reviews just like this from people that continue to buy these mediocre games brand new. As long as EA is raking in billions of dollars in sales, they won't care about the quality of the product. If people would quit buying, then we may finally see a game with some quality effort put into it. Some competition would do the trick too, but EA owns the rights. Go figure.I'm not going to write a long review of the game but I will say this: I own NCAAF09 as well and enjoyed it thoroughly (even though that game had major flaws as well). I think the real problem with '10 is the fact that EA decided to spend time improving the most unimportant features. What's more important - flashes in the crowd or decent AI? Seriously, Heisman mode is infuriating. First of all, EA doesn't seem to understand that simply increasing the amount of fumbles and interceptions in a game equals a better team. Also, simply sliding the speed bar of the opposing team to 100 is not realistic. "Heisman mode" should equal more completed passes, generally better skill, but not turbo mode. If you can deal with the annoying AI, then this may be the game for you. But until EA patches this game, I don't know if it's worth it.

The stick used for this is trash. The first day I received this, the stick was already faulty because the stick was not able to register a few motions. It turns out the stick is actually a Sanwa knockoff and it shows by its poor quality. I was forced to replace the stick with a Sanwa one, which was something I was already planning on doing. The buttons on the fightstick is mostly good, except after using it for over a month, my roundhouse button has started to act up. It will mostly register the action, but once in a while, it will not. Like the stick, I will be replacing the buttons with Sanwa parts really soon.
Other than those two problems, the fightstick itself is fine. It is small and portable and it feels nice using it. The layout of the buttons is great and the spacing between the stick and buttons is great too. The fightstick is also very easy to mod so you can easily swap out the stick, buttons or the artwork without any problem.
My recommendation is if you have the money for the TE fightstick, then go for it. If not, then this is a decent alternative with a few problems.

I've been playing with the SE fightstick for about a month now, with at least one hour of use every day. Thankfully I didn't have the loose washer issue (first thing I did was listen very carefully as I moved the stick around -I thought it would be okay if I didn't hear any scraping/scratching noises, as I assumed the later units should not have such a big problem). This is my first stick, so I'm no expert on them, and as such I think this is a great stick. Buttons are sensitive, the stick works well (once you get used to the square gate), and it's a nice weight so that I can set it on a chair or on my lap unsecured and it won't move too much, or at all.
After a month of use I'm beginning to suspect that some of the buttons will begin sticking, but I was aware this might happen as they're not Sanwa parts. If it becomes big enough of a problem I'll order replacement parts and swap buttons, which seems easy enough to do. After I do that I don't think I'll have any further reasons to complain.
All in all, this is a bit more expensive than I would expect for an arcade stick (by $15-$20) that doesn't have premium arcade parts and seems designed as a starting point for modification. All indications point to a product out-of-the-box that has a limited life before it starts having issues (though online discussion is going to be biased towards those who have problems). With that being said, I'm not unhappy with my purchase at all, and neither are the dopamine receptors in my brain every time I get my hands on this thing. (Now if only I could find some opponents online with whom I match up well...)

This is the second stick I've got, but both of the ones I own I received in January, so I can't help but compare the SF4 stick to the PS3 Fighting Stick 3. The differences between the two are pretty drastic the Hori stick was a really good first choice for me because it has stock parts that are decent for first-timers and really got me into playing fighting games again, but because it requires soldering and dremels to properly mod, and because its case is just too small to easily fit Sanwa's JLF and Seimitsu's LS sticks, I didn't feel comfortable opening it up.I got the SF4 stick and immediately fell in love with the case the pictures online don't do it justice. Maybe it's because I was playing with the FS3 for so long and its sticker was starting to bubble and it is lightweight and thin, but the SF4 stick has good weight to it and the art, aside from looking good, really feels like it's protected well from oil and grime from your hands. However, even though I only just ordered it last week, THE WASHER PROBLEM DOES STILL EXIST. While MadCatz may have fixed the problem in sticks just produced, there's no guarantee that your fight stick won't be one that was on the shelf for months with a faulty washer.
Luckily it's a great stick for modding. I just completed my first ever mod tonight using a Sanwa JLF and OBSN-30 buttons. Unlike the FS3, which has a huge PCB with the buttons directly soldered to it, the buttons in the SF4 stick have quick disconnects and are easily accessed as soon as you open the stick. It's a quick change for the buttons and if you use the proper JLF stick, even quicker there. You almost have to do this you don't want to be in a position where your joystick is scratching its PCB every time you move, and even if you plan on replacing the stick eventually the washer does impede movements in certain directions every now and then. Sure, you can open the stick up and glue it down, but if you're going to do that and void the warranty, you may as well just put a quality part in there instead. The stock buttons get mushy pretty quickly, too, but aren't as vital as the stick when it comes to exchanging parts.
If you've never modded before and want a user-friendly stick to start, go with this one! Art templates are found all over online and with all the colors that OBSN-30 and Seimitsu's PN buttons come in, you can really make it your own. Don't be duped into thinking that you need to pay more than retail price anymore, or even duped into believing you need to pay equal to retail price. Amazon's price for the stick fluctuates every day keep an eye on it and jump when you get the chance.

It's a great product (especially the second generation), helps your game a lot, its well built and pretty solid (it's support even the beating of a one year old lol). Just a little warning to all the gamepad sf4 players. It takes a little time to get used to it, don't espect to just take it out of the box and start making ultras right away, it takes a little practice.I gave it four stars just because of the 4 way gate. An 8 way gate will be much better especially for d df f projectiles (ryu,sagat,ken,....)
Its very easy to open and replace parts or mod it.

I received this stick in the beginning of September. It's extremely tedious to play street fighter on a controller, so I decided a fightstick was in order. When I first bought it I was blown away, the box and packaging was great and the fightstick seemed great, and I felt I got a steal. After using it for a few months I can say a few things about it.
Bad
Buttons and stick are made by madcatz (read: garbage.) The stick on mine no longer registers the up-right diagonal with any consistency, and the medium punch and hard punch buttons will sometimes not respond
White balltop and buttons make any dust or residue very visible
Too small, your wrists don't rest comfortably on the surface, because there isn't enough surface space, even for the smallest of people.
Very light. This might seem like a good thing, but when you're playing on your lap or table it slides all over the place and messes with your inputs.
Cheap case material.
Feels really cheap after playing with a good fightstick.
No headset port.
Good
Cheap!
Easily better than a controller.
Easy to mod with superior sanwa parts.
Long cable is extremely convenient.
Probably the best stick in this price range.
I can say that this is definitely a step up from a controller, and probably a good idea if you are unsure if you are going to like a fightstick or stick to fighting games. But if you are even slightly sure, just get a tournament edition, it has original sanwa parts and much higher build construction.
If you're thinking of buying it and then modding it later, think hard. While you may be able to mod it with better parts, you can't really fix the small case and light weight. It would probably be smarter to just start off with a better product, like the tournament edition.
Overall, it's OK for beginners, but there are hugely better choices out there, you just need to pay a bit more.

Plays exactly like Dynasty Warriors series and Samurai Warriors. If you like the other games then you'll probably like this too. I don't mind the hack and slash games, but I only played Dynasty Warriors 4 and 5 on the PS2 and Samurai Warriors. I would recommend this to those that like the other series just because well it's a little new. It plays the same and all, but with the added Gundam theme. It's basically just like going from Dynasty Warriors to Samurai Warriors. Story isn't really that great though, but if you just wanna destroy 1000 enemies then this is it. I have only watched G Gundam and Gundam Wings, so I'm not sure how the other series was. But characters comes from all over the series, but only Domon from G Gundam and Heero from Gundam Wing is in here. Cuz I don't really recognize any of the other Gundams.
The game to me is shorter then the other series because well, there's really no more then 4 missions for each character. And it basically just drag each mission on to about 15 30 min. So basically to level your pilots (max 30) or Gundam (max 10) you would have to play the mission over and over. That's probably why they give the option to play with a pilot using different Gundam. Along with the cutscene and victories, they seem to be all the same no matter what Pilot you use. But there is a "Offical Mode" which follows the Gundam storyline, and it will end the same, with the same cut scenes no matter what side you pick....... The "Original Mode" Which is a story about a mysterious planet and all Gundam pilots are just thrown in there.
If you like the series, but don't like the Gundam theme then I suggest you just wait for Dynasty Warriors 6.

At the current price, it's a must for any Gundam fans. They have about every series covered, although some are more highly favored than others(Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Seed). I would really like to see a game based soley on Gundam Wing come out soon!Buy Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Now
I have played several installments of the Dynasty Warriors series and it never truly felt anything had really changed. Like Street Fighter, the games used the same formula with new characters and for loyal fans, it worked but unless you were a fan of the series, it just wouldn't grab your attention. I've watched several Gundam series over the years and was excitied when I first heard of this game. I had read good reviews on it and many people I spoke with said it was worth a look so I bought a copy and have loved it. I can tell you right now that many Gundams are not included in this game mainly from the G-Gundam series though to be fair, many would prefer more Gundams from the Gundam Wing Series. I honestly would like to see Dragon Gundam and DeathScythe Gundam in this game but I am hoping they will do a sequel and add those Gundams in. Still regardless of how I would like certain characters added in, I still very much enjoy playing this game. It is just great fun to have several Zaku mobile suits coming at you at once and you just unleash combos on all of them and before you know it, you have already put down 100 enemies in less than a minute and a half. I would reccommend this game to any Gundam fan or Dyansty Warriors fan, however if you are not someone into battling several opponents at once, I would pass on this but I still would tell anyone, this is a great game to own.Read Best Reviews of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Here

As rally fans know, quality pure rally games have been missing for awhile. I felt disappointed with where Codies went with their Dirt series, though fun and pretty, the pure rally was lacking.
With such negative reviews on WRC and WRC 2 from Milestone, I never bothered to import the game. Then came WRC 3. Reviews were very mixed but from the reviews that made sense to me, this was the game I was looking for and you know what, it was. Sure WRC 3 is not perfect, but the intensity and feeling of being on edge is just right. The sensation of speed, the difficulty, the co-drivers instructions, and the non flashy: sit down, strap in, shut up, and drive style of this game is great.
Though I have never raced a rally car, I have raced dirt oval and road raced in real cars. The way the cars react in WRC 3 to the road surface, to correct driving, and to incorrect driving, seems more real than the competitor's. When I make a mistake and the car goes of course, I never question why. I can always feel where I went wrong and it honestly makes sense. FYI I use the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel.
Big plus to the distro company for making the discs region free so I could play this on my USA PS3 without changing anything.
There are so many event locations with so many stages, and so many cars.. I am going to enjoy this for many many hours.

A critical issue for me with all driving games is, does it control well with my Fanatec GT2 wheel. WRC3 does. With a wheel sensitivity setting of 300 I feel the cars respond to my every command. That doesn't mean that I don't drive off course quite often but it's my fault and not the game's response to my controller. While I like driving games I'm not particularly skilled with them. I always turn off assists and choose the default AI difficulty then scale back as necessary. To be competitive in WRC3 I had to swallow my pride and accept the beginner settings. But, to the game's credit, that setting is sufficient to allow me to feel like I actually know how to drive a rally car and progress through the career mode.
I have all of the Forza series, including Horizon, as well as GT5, F1 2010 and Dirt 2. There is something about pure rally games that appeals to me and WRC3 hits the mark perfectly. Lots of stages (83) over 13 regions. Enough livery options to tickle that itch without overwhelming me with choices, as Forza does. And, if you just want to drive you can skip the career mode and just pick any stage or rally group you want and go for it. I like games that don't lock content behind some sort of leveling system. You won't have all the different cars outside of career mode but you will have the cars driven by all the current teams, and that's fine with me.
I have no experience driving a rally car so I can't speak to the realism of this representation. What I can say is that I'm having a lot of fun and it meets my imagined expectation of what driving a rally car feels like.
Graphically it's a notch behind Forza and GT5 but I'm only aware of it when I'm watching a replay (something I do a lot simply because it's so much fun). When I'm racing I'm too focused on what I have to do to notice that the leaves on the trees or the fans who line the course are rendered in less than cutting edge graphics. Trust me, it won't detract from the experience.
Sound is acceptable. Again, I'm focused on driving and listening to the navigator, not the sound of the engine.
I'm a long way from completing this game and I may eventually find the career mode becomes too difficult to finish but that still leaves the free play open to enjoy all the stages.
Bottom line: this is a solid game that works very well with a wheel controller and should provide countless hours of entertainment. I understand that the developers, Milestone, don't plan to release it in North America because they don't feel there is a market here. They may be right but fortunately PS3 games are not region locked so get your hands on a copy, if you like pure rally games without the gymkhana, and have some fun.

This looks outstanding on my 46" TV. My only complaint is that it won't connect to my Logitech Momo on the PS3. It's still excellent on the PS3 controller, though.Read Best Reviews of WRC 3 World Rally Championship PS3 Here
My husband loves the game. It is more like rally racing than Dirt and completely different than the Torismo franchise (which he loves as well). The cars handle more like real cars on rough terrain which takes some getting used to. Overall, a good game and great Amazon service and delivery.perfect condition for used! game is fun, don't buy for looks, if you want that buy dirt 3, this is more about the physics.
