I own 250 GB version of PS3 and know this hardware. It uses standard 2.5 SATA hard drive and it can be upgraded to a larger size HD with no problems.

This item on Amazon is at least twice the normal price for HD. Why you ask? Because it comes as a "kit", in which standard 320 GB hard drive is

included alone with video instructions and manuals on how to swap HD. So basically you pay $60 for HD and another $60 for instructions. Wow!

Do not fall for the fancy name. Just buy HD alone for at least half the price and Google or Bing (whichever you prefer) instructions (video or text).

Easy, saves you money for new game, accessory or lunch money for a week :)

It is definately a cool piece of material to put on ur ps3. However, for $20 you only get the specified color that you searched. In their description, it seems that you recieve 30 different colored skins. It is a rip off for only one color of skin for $20 in my opinion. It was also hard to slide on and hard to dry. after 10 minutes of blowdrying it, it still would slide off. The great part about it is how cool it looks.

The install was a little tougher than anticipated. We've installed parts on Xbox 360 controllers and I must say Xbox has a much easier install. There was a video tutorial we watched for these that Geniusmods posted a link to and it was very helpful and informative, but I must say the PS3 controllers seem to be much more intricate than Xbox.

Anyway, once installed these things worked amazingly. We have a few modded Xbox 360 controllers, but no modded PS3 controllers. After installing these on the PS3 controller, we were able to shoot much faster without even having a mod. They definitely work wonders. I wasn't sure how much I'd like changing the fire button from R1 to R2 but I got used to it very quickly. Pleased with the product.

INTRODUCTION SETTING THE MOOD

Hey, I apologize in advance for the super-long review but this is an immense game so maybe it deserves a long review. I'll see if I can abbreviate it a little but I'm afraid it will stay 'long' no matter what I do.

Hmmm... I worked so hard to bring my beloved Uchigatana to a +6 but now Ben, Bladwin's brother they are both blacksmiths suggests that I give it to him and he's going to make a Crescent Uchigatana +1 out of it. A PLUS ONE out of my +6? Yes, my kids advise, go for it. While it's true that the Plus One Crescent does only 75 damage vs. my +6's 153, my current level of magic 35 should add at least 92 points of magic attack to the physical damage and, with the help of a few dozen Darkmoon stones (lots of Grim Reapers had to die for me to harvest them) and less than 10,000 souls (a bargain) I can immediately upgrade it to Crescent +3 and with THAT weapon, my friends, it only takes one quick slash to dispose of a silver skeleton and I can do away more than half a dozen low-level zombies with one swing. And, did I mention that it will slowly restore my MP (magic points) while I'm wearing it so I don't really need to keep the Fragrant Ring on and I could use the Sharp Magic ring instead to further boosts my magic strengths including Uchigatana's power but, true, it WILL lower my magic defenses. Or use the Thieves' Ring while in Queen's Tower prison so that the lovely bell-ringing octopus-head prison guards (good looking girls with a passion for electrocuting and stabbing while hugging you tight) won't notice me. And the Thieves' Ring seems to do well with those giant flying stingrays. They do notice me eventually but it makes them less vigilant so there are fewer of those 15-foot long, self-homing spikes they keep shooting at me when they get angry or suspicious.

Did I say too much? Then, let me say this. Granted, I'm a slow player because I really like to enjoy my games so maybe this is not typical but, after some 400 hours of play, Yesssss... got my Platinum my only so far and, until maybe until Elder Scrolls V comes around, likely to stay this way.

BRIEFLY

Demon's Souls is, in my view, one of the best fantasy RPGs that ever came to a game console. If you don't mind stabbing, slashing, shooting, cleaving, crushing, tearing, punching, scratching, infecting, slicing, burning or poisoning your enemies (and have the same thing done to you) and watching them die as they bleed, scream, decompose and sometimes howl in agony or even beg for mercy. And you'll be facing several classes of zombies, gargoyles, giant flying stingrays, knights in shining or all-black armors swinging what you could safely call 'weapons of mass destrctions' in the shape of ten-foot long meat cleavers at you, leeches, rats, blobs with shields on top of them, daemons of all shapes an sizes, grim rippers, octopus-headed ladies, immensely powerful fire-breathing dragons, giant steel spiders, huge worms with human faces.

Coming from someone who's played the Ultima series way back in the 80's and who's still waiting for the next in the Scrolls of the Elders, having enjoyed Oblivion more than any other console RPG, saying that Demon's Souls is 'awesome' should mean something. But, I was trying to briefly describe the game so, here it is, the story line in a paragraph, as dark and impossibly complicated as it could possibly come out of Japan. A king attempts to keep his kingdom Boletaria prosperous by means of some dark rituals involving the consumption of souls which, eventually, awakens the Old One, a great demon whose awakening unleashes lesser but still immensely powerful demons who quickly begin feasting on the regular people souls themselves while the kingdom is enveloped by a mysterious fog, isolating it from the rest of the world. None but one who went into the fog ever returned and that one told the story everyone in Boletaria is now insane and, unless someone does something, the fog is likely to spread and envelop the entire world. And that's where you, the player, get involved so your mission is to talk the Old One into going back to sleep and maybe save the world.

MY EVALUATION

It's strange how a game that's so unforgiving and that requires you to fight so many battles again and again until you achieve perfection only to have to fight them some more can become so addictive and almost obsessively so. There are three gamers in our family and not only do we wait for our turns but we watch each other playing, share 'funny stories' and tips involving gameplay and lose a lot of sleep when we can afford it and sometimes when we can't. It's probably illogical but, having to fight the same battles many times is not only immersive but it's actually fun and rewarding. On the third or fourth try you know exactly how to defeat the Grim Reaper and you know each individual Gargoyle's style and capabilities and you can play each battle in many different ways by slightly changing your tactics and strategies and the weapons you use until you achieve the perfect stab or slash or cast your spell at the time and place needed for it to hit the mark and to maximum damage. The only thing... before you get to the Grim Reaper you must first annihilate a few dozen other enemies, every single time.

And did I mention that that worlds of Boletaria are simply Awesome? Exploration and discovery are a joy in this game only balanced by the overwhelming sense of fear, dread and desolation oozing out of it. Most of your enemies don't only die when you dispose of them, but they go screaming, screeching or howling. Their bodies bleed and, through the controller, you can almost feel the the flesh tearing apart or stabbed by your blade or their armor breaking into pieces.

Being so hard to master but not impossible because I won't consider myself a great player there is a great sense of accomplishment every time a new boss is defeated, a weapon is upgraded and tried out in the field or a new location is conquered.

I can't give too much praise to the online play elements. You are NEVER alone in Demon's Souls. Other players can watch you and you can see their ghostly outlines as they play. You can leave messages to warn others of dangers and... you can see how they die or sometimes commit suicide. You can help others and sometimes you must defend yourself from those attempting to invade your world and destroy you. And all is smooth and so well integrated into the game's atmosphere that, in the rare occasions when our PS3 loses its network, all seems disturbingly quiet and lonely.

While nothing is perfect and nothing can be perfect and without having finished the game yet, I would say that Demon's Souls is without a doubt a top RPG for the PS3 platform.

GAMESPACE

You act in 5 'worlds' or locations: the Boletarian Palace, the Stonefang Tunnel, the Tower of Latria, the Shrine of Storms and the Valley of Defilement and you can cross from one world into another via the Nexus, a safe space, to the extent that anything built on top of the Old One can be safe, where you do most housekeeping chores. You can move relatively freely inside each world to the extent that you don't mind fighting... everybody all the time and there are gates that take you farther (usually deeper) into the worlds IF you manage to defeat the bosses guarding them.

Along the way, and usually following a fight, you find weapons and armor or items that may help you upgrade your weapons or armor and you decide how to manage your possessions but the main currency in the worlds of Boletaria is now 'souls'. Everyone is after them and the only way you can survive is to get them, usually by killing your opponents and to spend them on things that you need.

But this is only scratching the surface. Your eventual goal is to calm down the Old One by defeating and killing the demons that feed him souls and, as expected, this is not exactly a walk in the woods. How about a walk in swamps infested by some of the most foul and poisonous or disease spreading critters you could never imagine? Or exploring deep and dark tunnels where ghosts and Grim Reapers live, or some immense prison where all have lost their minds and the warden ladies wear tentacles on their heads? Or a mine where... you guessed it right, everyone is insane and they keep acting as if they were working but they will always take a break so that they can chase you around, throw some fireballs at you or drop boulders the size of trucks on you? And if you think that the 'surface' is safer, think huge dragons capable of completely incinerating you with one casual sneeze, or flying stingrays shooting giant ice spears or armored and well-armed skeletons always in a bad mood.

GAMEPLAY

After you create your character name, gender, class, looks you start with very little but, as you gather souls, you pay the blind lady who doesn't look like much but almost everything here is deceiving and she will raise your soul level, allowing you to improve on ability: vitality, endurance, strength, intelligence, magic, faith, dexterity, luck and you will need these abilities to be able to cast spells use certain weapons and generally survive in a world in which there are very few you could call 'friends'.

You progress by improving yourself and your weapons and defeating the various bosses. Doing so is important because the bosses block access to areas where... the next boss can be found.

Once you get killed, something that happens often, you lose the souls that you accumulated and wake up in the Nexus in 'soul form'. And there are ways to regain your body, usually by defeating a boss or... HELPING someone else defeat a boss but acting in human form must be a well-thought decisions. You do have more 'health points' as a 'body' but you are also weaker and while in a body form your world is open to invasion from other players out there. They can show up and kill you and, every time you die (or when you do bad things) the world you died in turns a little 'darker'. And the darker the world, the tougher your opponents become and... you are more likely to find 'good stuff'.

While in 'soul' form, you can volunteer to help other players defeat bosses or simply ride along with them. The reward is that you are revived in body form if, when summoned, you help the other player defeat a boss or maybe defeat an invader who teleported into his world to kill him.

Now, just to make it all a lot more fun, while you are online, the makers of Demon's Souls have the ability to control the so-called 'world tendency' in each of the five worlds, independently of your own actions so a pure-white world may suddenly turn darker and more dangerous or vice-versa.

And this is not all. While playing, you can see the 'blood stains' of the heroes who died on that particular spot. You touch it and you see the last seconds that preceded that hero's death. And you can leave messages to warn others and, you can see in real time, the ghostly images of other players fighting monsters or just running around as you are minding your own business.

And, of course, every time you leave a world for the safety of the Nexus, ALMOST everything other than the bosses and some of the NPCs resets and respawns. So you will be fighting the same battles over and over and over again, using different tactocs, improving your skills until you approach perfection and achieve elegance.

And... how about whole the game resetting itself? It's true, or so I heard that, after you complete the game you can retain some of your hard-earned possessions and skills and go for an 'encore' but a bit harder this time.

THE PAIN FACTOR

This is one of the most brutal and unforgiving games I've ever played. And I'm not talking about the slaying of zombies or slimy creatures at almost every turn and having to do it repeatedly. Demon's Souls is unforgiving to the player because nothing but complete dedication and near-perfection would do.

The tutorial is probably the threshold that's the hardest to cross. You start weak and almost unarmed and you mission is not only to survive which, if you are successful, you won't but also to defeat a mysterious monster that's almost nothing but slime, near-impenetrable armor and dozens of extra-long spears and do it in near-complete darkness. Saying that it's frustrating it's an understatement. I would have given up if it weren't for my kids who won their first victory before I did and motivated me to continue.

And the hardship continues and only grows after that. Unlike most other games, you can't just save once you defeat an opponent and establish a safe point to restart from. You are in that world until you are killed and lose your hard-earned souls or you return to the Nexus on your own but, remember, every time you come back from the Nexus, all the monsters you killed except for the bosses are there challenging you again and you have to kill them again. But, not everything resets itself completely. Usually 'the good stuff' only presents to you once or twice, IF you are lucky but the bad guys are always there to challenge you again and, if the world turns dark on you, to maybe slice you and dice you a few times before you develop some new and better tactics to defeat them for the 100th time again.

VIOLENCE

I believe I mentioned this all throughout my review but maybe the level of violence merits its own heading. There is A LOT of it in this game and all of it is graphic. I believe there is a setting that would hide 'bleeding' but with or without that, there was a reason it was rated 'M' as in 'mature'. So, anyone who doesn't feel comfortable about killing tens of thousands of soulless, computer generated creatures, don't buy this game.

TECHNICAL MERIT

Demon's Souls was made for the PS3 exclusively and it shows. The graphics and animations are simply breathtaking and, unlike the multi-platform Oblivion where 'fire' and 'smoke' could only be done at the expense of slowing everything to a crawl and the objects in the the distance became usually blurred, the world of Demon's Souls is almost always crisp and responsive visually, it rarely skips a frame and it never slows down, even when dozens of characters are present and moving independently on the screen.

Add to the above some of the most realistic sound effects and 'break and shatter' graphics, with the audio-visual experience enhanced by the controller perfectly synchronize vibrations that allow you to 'feel' the blows as your shield blocks them.

Unlike many other RPG worlds where a lot of the landscape and the dungeons are cookie-cutter reassemblies of a limited number of elements, the world of Boletaria appears to be fully, uniquely custom-designed. Very little repeats and every new location you discover is different and usually surprisingly different from anything else in the game.

FIVE STARS

On a 1-100 scale, I would rate Demon's Souls as a 95+. The game is remarkably bug free and the instances where characters do silly things because they can't climb a boulder or can't make a turn are rare enough for the game to stay immersive. I already know that I'll be spending more hours on Demon's Souls than on any other PS3 RPG or any other type of games I own so far.

At this price and considering the added CD, this is as most compelling buy.

I received the adapter brand new in good condition, and in an acceptable amount of time considering I used standard shipping.

I purchased the adapter for use with my laptop computer, so that I would be able to use my PlayStation 2 controllers within video games in Windows 7. Connecting the adapter was easy. It took me a little time to find the correct driver, but once I did, I found that all of the functions of the PlayStation 2 controllers were recognized by my computer. I could even use them as a mouse with the analog sticks.

Overall I think this product is a great steal. It does the job and was fairly simple to set up. The only suggestion I have would be for the seller to post a link to the correct driver, so that hunting for it would not be necessary. It would be wonderful. :)

So when I first got it, I had no idea how to work it. It says it installs some usb human interface driver and that's it. However, if you go under devices and printers of the control panel, you can right click on the joystick to pull up its properties and notice that the computer does recognize the controller. If you download the freeware JoyToKey and figure out how to use the program yourself, you can use the controller for games and as a mouse. I havn't tried it as a ps3 adapter, but it works for windows 7 64bit fine. Hope this was somewhat helpful, and that you won't be frustrated for two hours thinking the thing doesn't work.

This adapter works like a charm. Shipping only took 4 days from when I ordered it, and it came in perfect condition. Plugged it right in, it installed the drivers (for PC) and bam, you can play. I will suggest getting something like joytokey if you're on PC because it will make your life easier. I haven't tried it on PS3 but I'm sure it works just as well, minus the home button. Overall great purchase. For the price, if you have some ps2 controllers laying around, this is the best choice when looking for a pc gamepad or an extra PS3 controller HANDS DOWN.

**Updated April 25th**

I have finished the game (it took about 80 hours) so here is the final review. I have also added combat tips to the end.

First of all, I love the game. The combat is awesome if you like strategy games. The game has more in common with strategy/rpgs rather than traditional JRPGs. As in any rgp you can roam inside the cities, get side quests, and explore the world map. However, the combat and the missions are very much like that of turn based strategy games. In fact, ROF is more like a strategy game under a JRPG disguise.

Although the combat looks flashy and cool, as I saidbefore, RoF is not an action oriented game. The combat is very deep and strategic. Also learning curve is steep, it takes several hours to learn all the intricacies of the combat, and I will not attempt to explain it here. (I have added some tips and tricks at the end). However, the turn system is very similar to Valkyria Chronicles, it is a mixture of turn based and real-time (while you are moving the enemy also moves and can attack you). Flanking, timing, the type of attack etc. all plays a key role in combat and makes it very satisfying. They are nice to watch too, although your eyes would be on the action gauges most of the time.

There is a tutorial that introduces every battle action but it does not tell you about the tactics. (Think of chess, you can learn the rules in half an hour but you'll have absolutely no idea about the tactics). So the game got better as I played because I began to discover some of the mechanics and the tactics not described in the tutorial. It also has some real-time elements that require timing, which keeps things interesting and gives you some more tricks to help you. (For example, you can manually evade physical attacks if you time your movement right). It takes a long time to master every trick of the combat, but it is very satisfying when you discover something new.

Leveling and customization is all about the guns not the characters. There are 3 types of weapons (handguns, machine guns, and grenades). As the characters use a weapon they get more proficient with that weapon and level up. A character's level is the sum of all 3 weapon levels. For example, a level 20 character can be level 15 handgun, level 4 machine gun, level 1 grenade. As they level up their hit points and respective gun weight limit improve. Also they gain some additional effects (5% stun chance for instance).

You can only customize your weapons. Guns have 5-6 attachment slots (magazine, grip, sights etc.) that you can upgrade with the parts you found. Also you can add extensions to all slots(e.g. adding another barrel to the barrel). However you have space and weight limits that you need to consider. Finally, you can also craft special parts from the basic materials you get from monsters. There is no other customization. There is no armor either, however characters can equip two rings some of which are protective. You can buy a lot of different dresses but they have no effect other than changing the looks of your character (this also affects cutscenes as they are done with the in-game engine).

The story is slow to start. It starts to pick up after Chapter 5 (which would be 10-20 hours into the game depending on the number of sidequests you do), but it is one of the weak points of the game. It does get interesting, but a lot of things are left unexplained even after the game is finished. Simply put, this is not a story-driven game. There are a lot of fetch quests at the beginning but at least the NPCs are quirky, and the interaction between the characters can be funny sometimes. Later on, I got more interested in the story but game only hints at what's going on and never fully explains the background or the motives of the characters.

In sum, this is not a traditional JRPG like Final Fantasy or Lost Odyssey, it is more similar to strategy games like Valkyria Chronicles. Also if you want fast paced, action oriented, quick resolution combats (e.g. Tales of Vesperia) then this is probably not the game for you. If you like turn based strategy/rpg games (Jagged Alliance, Front Mission, Valkyria Chronicles, etc) with a lot of depth then I believe you will like this game.

*** Some Combat Tips and Tricks ***

In ROF, you have access to the full combat from the beginning (opposite of Final Fantasy XIII from what I hear). However, as you play you get a better understanding of the mechanics and the tactics. In other words, the combat opens up naturally and always stays fresh. Below are some tips but I believe half of the fun is discovering them. If you feel confused, then these might help. Also the guy next to the billboard in the guild gives one new tip each chapter. Always talk to him.

-The letter next to the enemy bar indicates which one of your characters the enemy is aiming.

-The enemy won't shoot until the end of the turn (even if their aiming bar is full) unless they are aiming at the character you are moving. If they are aiming at the character you are moving, they'll shoot in real time when their aim gets full.

-During hero runs you are invincible and also you can regenerate more because the turn lasts longer (depending on the distance). However, that also means enemies will have longer time to aim at characters.

-The circular green bar around the enemy is their equipment health (weapon, armor, shield etc). You will not be able to damage their body until you create/find an opening. The green bar is not always a full circle and if that's the case, you can make a hero run (or walk around while they are aiming at somebody else) and shoot when you have the right angle to hit the body. Or if you jump during hero run you randomly hit all body parts, you might get some hits to the body even if they are shielded.

-Getting rid of the enemy parts (equipment) will give you materials for upgrades.

-Try to set up the tri-attacks in a long range. The longer the running distance, the more time to shoot (and regenerate).

-You can make a tri-attack even with 1 resonance point. This can be helpful if the distance between the characters is long. You can also use it to move one of your characters to safety if he is going to be shot as soon as you end the turn of the current character.

-Charge acceleration is very important. Try to add barrels as much as you can. Also try to shoot at the highest possible charge to activate the skills.

-Dual wielding helps a lot in the later game(after chapter 10-11). It doubles your damage and chances of activating skills even if the second weapon may reduce some of your stats.

-During a tri-attack, the enemies inside the triangle won't move, the ones on the outside will.

-If you are outnumbered stun and electro grenades can give you valuable time.

Here is my first 10 hours impression of the Game, hope that this will help you out a little. I am more or less comparing this game to FFXIII but only a few little things not the whole game.

2D/3D Visuals:

The game is full 3D with 2D as background. The visual is acceptable, the 3D environment is not to bad for towns, but its a bit bare and boring during cut-scenes, the cinema animations are up to par, but the in-game animation cut-scenes are not very eye catching. (Been playing FFXIII for a while, its visual is really not that great compare to FFXIII)

Voice Overs and music:

The Voice overs are not bad, they sounds great, the music is a mix, some of them pretty good and some of them are annoying. NPCs do talk when you interact with them, even though its thoughtful but after a while you get sick of them saying the same thing over and over.

Combat System:

This is where the game shines. Instead of sword and magic, your 3 characters are using guns, either it be hand guns or machine guns. It will take you a while to learn all the things about the combat since there are quite a lot of rules. The animation in combat is pretty good, its better than the in-game animation cut-scenes, but then since they move so fast you can't really compare them. The combat visual feels like the Matrix, where you use guns to shoot your enemy while doing acrobatic moves.

How does combat work?

Its kind of a mix of RTS and TBS (Turn base strategy). There are two types of damage, Direct damage and Scratch Damage. Direct damage is caused by Hand gun, and Scratch Damage is caused by Machine Gun. You can heal Scratch Damage, but you can't kill with Scratch damage even if your enemy's health goes to zero, you will have to apply Direct damage to kill, also you can't heal direct damage (well you could but the item that you use to heal is expensive and hard to get)

There is also Hero Gauge, which is very important, at the beginning you only have 3 of them, it expends as you go through the chapters, at chapter 3 you should have 4 and 3/4 hero gauge, this gauge is expended by finding gauge crystals, which could be found either by exploring the maps or defeating a boss. Hero Gauge is replenished by killing your enemy or performed some sort of high damage move.

Hero Gauge is used to make Hero Moves and the Triad attacks. Its also your back up health supply. When one of your character received scratch damage and it reaches 0, you will lose one hero gauge and get your health back to max, but if you ran out of Hero Gauge, you enter critical stage, which you don't want to get into, because once you are in critical stage, the damage that your characters receive will be Direct damage and if one of your character dies, its game over. Once you are game over, you can reload previous saves, or spend some money to retry the battle.

Now lets get to the juicy part of combat. A Hero Move is a move that you can use to put massive damage to your enemy, once you decide to use Hero Move you will set a path for your character, and direct them to jump and attack or to run and attack, at the same time, if you use a hero move and run between the other two characters you gain a Resonance point, which is used to make the Triad Attack, a Triad Attack will enable all your characters to shoot at your enemies and the same time running in a triangle path.

It takes a while to get use to the combat system, you should go through all the tutorial in the Arena (Which is outside of the first town).

Character Leveling:

There are three different weapon levels that you can have for each of your characters, they can learn to use Hand gun, Machine gun and thrown weapon. Your Character's actual level is the sum of the levels of these three weapon levels, so if one of your character have a lv4 with hand gun, a lv3 with Machine gun and a lv2 with hand thrown weapon, your character's actual LV is 9. A character can reach lv 100+ (one of the trophies)The Max level for a character is 300, so lv100 for each weapon type.

Weapon Customization:

There are many different parts that you can add onto your weapon to make it a better weapon, these parts can be bought from vendors or you can ask a tinkerer to make the parts from different ingredients that you collect from enemies.

Map Traveling:

The game is set in a world where humans lives in a gigantic tower that is run by machines, so your environment is basically a tower, where there are elevators and stuff to move around different levels, at the same time the map is comprised with energy hexes, to be able to explore a new area, you will need to get energy hexes to unlock the map, there are regular energy hexes, and there are colored energy hexes, which will allow you to get to different areas.

Character appearances:

There are no armors in this game, but there are different costumes that you can buy or get for your characters, its quite a large selections, from head to toe, you can find something for your character, even the eye colors (they have eye color lenses) what is so amazing is that your in-game cut scenes and cinema animations will show what you have dressed your characters in. Which is quite fun, but I do have to say these items are quite expensive.

PROS:

1. Engaging combat system

2. Fun weapon Customization

3. Great selections of Characters' paper doll system (character appearances)

4. Good Voice Acting

CONS:

1. Visuals are only acceptable, could be a lot better.

2. It could be quite a grind sometimes to get your character's level up and unlocking the map

3. It has a steep learning curve for the combat system (but in the end its worth it)

4. Save points are not available to you all the time, in the beginning you can only save at your base, but later on there are energy station that you could buy to set a remote save point.

5. At times the constant combat could make you feel a bit frustrated, especially when you are fighting in a dungeon area.

Hope this help!

PS: This is only base on 10 hours of game play, I will say that the learning curve for the combat system is about an hour to get use to. There are a lot of information that you really need to learn first though.

PPS: Because its base on 10 hours of game play, I couldn't tell you much about the story line.

The combat is difficult almost from the start so know what you are getting into. The game throws you into battle with little intro and the way you fight is unlike any other game out there. But, if you are patient with yourself and learn the controls, and like a challenge, you'll very likely enjoy the combat. It is worth mentioning that the combat is only partly turn-based. Once you start shooting with a character, you are fighting in real time until that character's turn has ended. I prefer a more carefully planned turn-based combat. The real time combat involves a certain amount of luck and perhaps a bit more luck than I would like.

The framerate is solid. There's normal mapping effects on everything to make things look shiny and shimmery. It is distracting rather than good looking.

The story is darker than usual for a JRPG which is fine with me. The world isnt very interactive though and you'll see the same characters roaming the streets of the towns over and over again.

I would have liked more choices about how to build the 3 characters (since this is an RPG) but there's actually little one can choose except mods on weapons. That sounds fun but you quickly realize there isnt that much complexity to modding a weapon. In fact that's my only real complaint: There's exactly 14 weapons in the game and not a lot of meaningful choices for modding them. There's different bullet types but those are expensive and basically meant for boss fights. None of the 3 characters have special abilities to make them different from each other short of some hit point differences. So basically it is a great combat engine, but there's not a whole lot of "rpg" going on. The fights occur in a variation of the same place every time: there's some destructible walls and boxes but that's all you'll see in the fighting areas over and over again.

There's some repetition and grinding along the way to level up -that's pretty standard in a JRPG but here the characters dont get new abilities along the way and the comabt for all of its fun, starts to get old.

Overall it is a solid JRPG, but more like a B+ than an A-

I tried to get into this game, but I just didn't find it to be that fun. There seems to be a pretty cool and unique little combat engine here, and I can see how it might be cool if you could get into it. For me it just wasn't worth it. Some of the reasons why I say that...

Unfortunately, the learning curve is quite steep, and the game and manual teach you very little about how to play. I felt like I had to buy the strategy guide to even figure the game out enough to determine whether or not I liked it. There should be WAY MORE in game help or at least a detailed manual.

The graphics are surprisingly poor. This is the first game I played on my PS3, and I was really disappointed about the system in general until I tried another game and realized that the graphics in resonance of fate are particularly bad and most games look much better. It's not just that the graphics are bad, it's also that the environments are just not that interesting, particularly the combat settings. Maybe this improves if you play the game longer.

There isn't any story to pull you in and keep you interested. Maybe one develops as you play more, but at the start of the game there basically is no story.

Overall, it just isn't a fun game.

Tri-Ace and Sega went all out for this game. Not only are the character models detailed and the environments lush but they've gone a LONG way from the freaky uncanny vally that the last few Tri-Ace games had. For the first time I actually like the protagonists.

The interface takes a little getting use too. And go out of your way to hit the Arena and do the practice battles there to get use to battle timing, but once you do and you experiment a little, it will come a second nature to you.

The puzzlemaps are fun to unlock and if you pay attention to attributes you can do silly things like linking together mutliple bonus in a tier and turn areas into item farms, monster exp zones, etc. It's your choice how to customize an area.

Dungeons are basically a series of battles so don't step into them unless you're equiped and flush on special ammo/grenades.

Timing and camera controls are VERY important. But the games doesn't get punishing until you get past the first few turorital chapters. Boss fights are gloriously hard and rewarding. Save often, this game lacks FF13's ultra forgiving auto-save.

The character dress up options are wonderful and I like custom looks on the characters.

For Tri-Ace actually trying something new and it working, I hope there is more RoF style games in your future.

This is honestly the best game under the One Piece franchise yet. It is an improvement in almost every way compared to the first one. Such as follows:

1.) Instead of 13 characters, there are 27 (37 counting the Pre-skip Straw Hats and Blackbeard with two Devil Fruits).

2.) Where as previously, Chopper and Nami were among the worst characters to play simply because they were under powered or their movesets were terrible, here, they are improved and now they are among the better characters to play.

3.) All annoying Quick Time Events have been removed, as have the clunky platforming sections.

4.) Instead of a measly 20 enemies or so on the screen at a time, there are over double and sometimes triple the amount of enemies.

5.) The Level cap can be raised from 50 to 100.

6.) Each character is very unique in their own respective ways; no two characters are alike in movesets.

7.) the Team strike has been replaced with the more interesting Haki system, which allows you to move faster or do more damage depending on the character in addition to being able to use a support character.

8.) There is a lot more support characters including some that are not playable, but neat to use in your Haki mode.

9.) There is more to do. Rather than just the Story Mode and a couple of other logs, there are more stages, challenges, and stuff the unlock.

Be warned however, unless you use logic (or simply know Japanese), it would be easier to wait for the English version to come out in August, but it is very well worth it. If you do buy this, know that there are guides to help you on the internet (i.e. Youtube).

The game itself (as a fan of all things One Piece) was a must buy for me but after playing it, I really fell in love.

Definitely a top five game for me. Combat hugely improved from the first Kaizou Musou. Story is Non canon but still great & it has many other interesting qualities. Larger groups of enemies,More Characters and even some new combos for the characters from the first game(During Style action) which by the way is very cool. Makes you feel very over powered even on the highest difficulty but nonetheless I would recommend this to One Piece fans, anime fans, people who like beat em' ups etc..

The charge cable that I received was not even the one shown in the picture. If you look at the cable in the picture and the one that came with the PS3, you will notice they both have that bulb at the end. The cable I received did not have it. Thew reason I ordered it was because it looked like the one for the PS3. The cable I received was just a regular USB cable, and it wasn't even 6 ft. long. Could have gotten a USB cable cheaper than this.

I've only been introduced to the series for about a week now and I was playing Cabela's Big Game Hunter on the PS2. Now I know the game isn't the greatest due to the graphics and it being an older system and all, but the only aspect of the game that gave me a problem was the fishing aspect. In the newer version Cabela's Gig Game Hunter 2010 the graphics have made a huge leap in the right direction and some of the in game chalenges are quite fun to play. If you didn't enjoy the fishing portion in the older games than this one is for you, fish are spared in this game and I'm glad.

If your not into the whole hunting game and don't want to shell out $40 than I say at least rent in and enjoy the graphics as well as hunting big game animals.

P.S. No real animals were hurt durning the making of this game.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

If you want success on every hunt, this is your game. The animals just mill around in the open while your character can approach to within a few yards. I try not to use the "Hunter's Sense", as that makes finding the animals way easy. The game keeps your scope locked on a specific target animal making a kill even easier.

I'd prefer to play a game where you actually had to "hunt", rather than just point and shoot.

Buy Cabela's Big Game Hunter '10 (Game Only) Now

Some animals are realistic. Bears do chase you but Mountain Lions do not! The Truth about wildcats is they only attack when theyre hungry or you provoke them. If theyre not hungry they will move on. But overall this game is fun.

Great game. A must have. This is a great switch of pace from other shooter games. You hunt geese, rabbit, deer, ram, bear, jaguar, etc. Also, there's a part where you have to shoot a bear and another part where you have to shoot a cougar. You have to balance youself as you cross logs over caverans. Lot's of fun. There's also a shooting gallery that you can practice shooting and there's different guns to shoot with.

I buy a lot of games that eventually I get quickly bored of; but this game is a great switch from all the other game remakes. Cudoos. 5 Stars.

I am glad to see that PS3 is finally coming out with some good hunting games. Haven't played this one lately, but I have enjoyed it so far. Only bad thing is when they give you a hunt with special weapons they should have the weapons unlocked. Had a hunt with a crossbow and didn't get the crossbow until after I finished that area.

I just received this stand and attached it to my PS3 system. I've been shopping for stands for quite a while before settling on this one and I am happy with my purchase. It fits well, looks neat, and holds up to 15 games or movies.

The only thing that is 'wrong' with the design is that the way the games sit in the rack, you can either have the games face you(like in the picture) or reverse them and make the backs of the cases readable from the side. So you have to choose which way you prefer it.

Other than that its a very good accessory for a great price!

Great stand, looks very stylish and matches the PS3. The game rack is placed in such a fashion that either you get the side tags to be viewable or the front of the games. I just placed the first game front first, and the ones in the back "turned around" so that the side game labels where viewable.

I am very happy with the product. Great quality/price ratio.

One note though: This stand is designed for the regular PS3 systems, not for the PS3 Slim. I imagine the Slim WILL fit comfortably, but with a lot of left over space.
