This is similar to the previous country track pack. It is a stand-alone game that is I believe based on the Rock Band 1 engine, but the tracks can be "exported" to work in Rock Band 3 (or 1 and 2 I assume).

I didn't try it as a stand-alone game but immediately entered the code on the back of the manual to "export" the tracks. That is done through the "Redeem Code" menu on the PS3. The export is actually a 500 or so megabyte download so I never even inserted the disc.

After that it's basically like any downloaded content except for one big thing; there is no keyboard or Pro Guitar drums support. It's really hard to understand why since Rock Band 3 has been out for months and is the new standard. I can only assume it's a financial decision to try and support all Rock Band versions. I read there is harmony support and I can vouch Pro drums are supported, which is true for most/all older songs. In a post on the Harmonix forums they suggest that the country pack 2 will later be available as DLC and they may add keys and Pro guitar support for that. Of course that will likely be a separate purchase.

The song selection to me is not that strong. Mostly popular artists but not their best songs. My favorite is "Sideways" by Dierks Bently. I appreciate they included some classic outlaw country, "Mama Tried" by Merle Haggard. "Ring of Fire" is included but is not the classic radio version. It's a faster tempo, still a good song though.

So check out the song to price ratio and decide if keys and Pro guitar support is important to see if this a good value for you.

Purchased a brand new game for a fraction of the retail price. Already have Country Track Pack 1 & this one is even better! Not a big fan of country music (more into classic rock & heavy metal), but these songs are really fun to play. An excellent addition to any Rock Band Collection

The Good:

Legends of Rock has a nice selection of music. There is a good variety from classic rock to 90s alternative to current stuff. The total number of songs is pretty impressive too.

Single player career mode is fun, and the difficulty was just right on Easy. I tried on Medium though and got whooped. You'll start off as a nobody and slowly work your way up to superstar status. The progression is fun, although not very original.

Stage designs are fresh and unique, and look pretty damn good on the PS3.

Fairly good selection of guitars and characters to choose from.

Good audio quality, which is a must for this genre.

The Bad:

Online play is spotty at best. I could typically connect to one match, but then I couldn't get connected to a 2nd match. This was a huge disappointment for me because online play was one of the reasons I bought this game.

Limited customization of the characters. I know World Tour addresses this issue, but the characters only have a couple outfits. It'd be nice if you could custom design your rocker like on Tiger Woods games.

No idea how to unlock characters. I beat the single player game on Easy mode and didn't unlock a single character. What gives! I assume you need to beat it on Medium or Hard to open them up. Either way, I was disappointed.

Limited stats. Maybe its me, but they give you all those nice stats at the end of each song and then they're not stored anywhere. There is no way to see your best % of notes hit, longest note streak, etc. Take some notes from Grand Theft Auto, and gimme some stats!!

Graphics are OK, but could be better.

The Verdict:

A fun game that is great for parties, but don't expect much replay value as a single player, given the spotty online performance.

The setlist is good. The difficulty is fine. But the boss battles play like somebody said "Hey, this game is fun and all but isn't there something we could borrow from a tired old platformer to interrupt the flow and made people frustrated and cuss us?" Thus was born the GH3 boss battle. Huarf!

Pretty good game my introduction to the Guitar Hero franchise. It's got a career mode that's pretty cool and character customizations are pretty neat too. There are a lot of cover songs on this one though which might/might not be to everyone's liking. Overall, it's a pretty fun, interactive game. The only thing I really don't like, which I doubt others will agree with, is the battle-mode option... I don't like it at all, to be honest. But other than that, a good, fun game.

The strongest part of 2K has always been presentation, and they really took it to the next level with 2K12. The court looks amazing, the players seem twice as real and detailed, even with 2K11 doing a pretty good job last year. No more alien faces or generic-looking bench players. The soundtrack is the best I've heard on a basketball game.

Now for the gameplay: The movement is much smoother and feels considerably more realistic. Ball physics are slightly improved, but still not great in my opinion. One thing that really annoyed me in 2k11 was how you would swipe at the ball and knock it loose, but the AI would always grab it before you could. This flaw is minimized, but still exists. The shots are smoother, but it's hard to get used to each player's different release. Proximity of a defender seems to have little to no effect on whether a jump shot goes in or not. I find that I make more contested shots that open ones. I had a wide open fastbreak layup to win the game and the PG completely missed it. Once you get position in the post, it's much easier to make a shot, but it's also extremely difficult to guard the post on defense. I've quadruple-teamed guys several times down low and somehow they got it to go in, followed by the commentator saying how porous my defense is and how wide open the paint was. Defense, even on Pro and even Rookie, is much more difficult than in previous games. Staying in front of the ball-handler is nearly impossible, and it's too easy to accidentally run past your man. My team doesn't seem to listen to the defensive control pad sometimes. I'll tell them to "lock down paint" and they run out to the perimeter to double-team the PG and leave the paint vulnerable to a 1-on-3 mismatch. Also, blocks happen much more frequently and the AI seems to have a slight advantage on the boards, particularly on the offensive end.

In conclusion, this game looks amazing. The presentation will blow you away. The gameplay is fun, but will certainly take some getting used to. I've played a lot of NBA games, and I've found it really hard to win in this game, even on Pro. Some of the AI's impossible makes, especially in the paint, can be frustrating, as can some wide open misses. The defense got the biggest revamp, and I'm not sure whether I like it or not, but it's certainly more difficult. The modes have been improved, but are basically the same, with the addition of create a legend. If you're a die hard fan, you will probably love this game. If you're a casual fan, you might find it somewhat frustrating. Still, I give props to 2K for trying to improve significantly even after 2K11's success. Rosters will be updated if and when the lockout ends. Grab this game to fill that empty void left by the lack of actual NBA basketball.

This is a review from a big fan of "classic" NBA, the great teams and great players from days gone by. So as you would expect I looked forward to this title with much eagerness and got it on day one. And when I first played it I was in awe of the packaging, the cosmetic touches used to recreate some of the great all-time teams and rivalries in NBA history. The graphics are great for a basketball game (aside from the occasionally odd animation or player rendering) and the presentation is heads-and-shoulders above any sports game that I have ever played.

But when I got past the cosmetic some intense frustration with the game play quickly followed. Much like last year's iteration the passing system is just incredibly bad. I know they wanted to create a sense that in order to acquire steals you needed to play the passing lanes etc., and they wanted the defenses you play to be operating in this way as well to enhance realism. The problem is that you have no ability to determine what sort of pass you throw (bounce pass, lob, etc.) and so you are left up to the mercy of the game's passing logic to try and make the best pass available for a given situation, only it makes absolutely horrible choices most of the time. You will see a a wide open teammate and attempt to pass him the ball with the PG (not a poor passer and not on the run but at a complete stop) only to have it sail over his head or to a player on the opposing team. This makes running a fast-breaking offense like the 80's Lakers anywhere near efficiently a nearly impossible task. Hell, simply running a conservative offense I still garnered double digit turnovers each game.

Another significant problem is the seemingly sheer randomness of most button presses when attempting to do pretty much anything in this game. You think by pressing a button designated "shoot" you would then release a shot, but often that is not the case as you may find yourself thrust into an animation where you shove your shoulder into another player to create space (where you really didn't seem to need any additional space I might add) and not shoot the ball but rather hang on to it until you press it at least two more times (the other press causes you to then pump fake) by which time you have been blown for a three second lane violation. This is far from a rare occurrence as random animations seem to be the rule of the day in NBA 2k12, and despite what is advertised I have found them to rarely be "interruptible".

Driving the lane is usually an effort in futility as there is apparently an invisible force field that the opposing teams players can extend past their bodies to prevent your player from going past. I am playing with Michael Jordan on one memorable occasion and I have the baseline and plenty of room to get by the other player and he doesn't move his feet and cut me off (at least according to what I saw) I merely am unable to proceed past him and instead shoot a fall away jumper. Supposedly you can use "isomotion" dribble moves to penetrate, but I found these to be so maddeningly complicated and inconsistent (this particular motion does this one move this time and then another move another time etc.) that I have given up anything beyond the most basic.

Also the game is extremely glitchy. Teams that I have unlocked via the "Legends" mode will later be re-locked with it no longer registering that I did indeed won those games and unlocked those teams. I put in code that was available with purchase to unlock a couple of teams (and that was tedious as the server was down for like two weeks) and now I find I have to redo the entire process.

Those are perhaps minor complaints compared to the sheer frustration this game is to play at times. Passing and shooting the ball are the basics for any basketball game and when you can't get that right then all the packaging in the world isn't going to make it a good game.

Buy NBA 2K12 (Covers May Vary) Now

okay, i bought 2k11 last year as soon as it came out. Played 2 MP's and a lot of exhibition/online games last year. I would say this is my most played game aside from the far off blackops. That said, i think im a decently experienced 2k basketball player. 2k12 has a lot of the things that we as gamers wished 2k11 had, but it also has a lot of annoying flaws and under-developed new features. I understand that not everything is always perfect with games (specially with only 1 year) but i hate how people keep telling others to wait for the "patch". Why should a patch fix the incredibly bad passing? Didn't we let 2k know about this last year? Bad lop passes last year, so now this year our guy tries to through it through his defenders face. nice -_ It was too easy to get into the paint and dunk. After 10 games played my layups end in blocks 60% of the time. How i get blocked by a C who has his back turned to me and is running in the other direction i don't know. Taking away the crew mode? fail. Why play MP if you can't show your guy off? Okay, so people hack and cheese...they do that in normal online.I wish instead of just avoidin the problem they had implemented ways to limit cheating.New training camp? awesome! I have to go through all of the shooting drills to get to the last one (the only want i want to practice) not so smart. Online association? Awesome! It lags worse than normal association, not awesome. Improved ball handling and more "realistic" gameplay? GReat! My ball handler bouncing the ball off his teammates foot twice a qt? annoying. I think the realism isn't the problem here, more along the lines of still crappy A.I. Teammates still tend to do REALLY dumb things and like i read on some reviews the game needs Base offense, defense plays that run when no plays are called. Overall, while 2k12 will probably feel better than 2k11 i think this game is not worth the 60 i spent on it. I could of stayed with 2k11 for a few more months and then bought it for 40 or even 20 :/ maybe instead of 2k13 they should go for 2k14 and not rush games.

For anyone who doesn't have a PS3 this may be the best PS3 deal ever IF you can get it at the Black Friday special $199 price. It's still pretty good value at the normal price.

I've been a PS3 owner ever since the 60GB Classic became available in 2007 and I've been impressed with the PS3's reliability, versatility and its sheer power I've owned both Classic and Slim models, upgraded most, gave away a couple. In the end one's choice for a gaming console is a matter of personal taste and preference but the PS3 is by far the more popular 'gaming' or 'entertainment' implement in our household. And we do own an Xbox.

I am buying this one (on the waiting list and hoping to get lucky) as a Christmas gift for a kid whose old PS3 classic seems to be about to give up and I know will enjoy playing inFAMOUS and the Uncharted.

Here's a quick FAQ I put together on the new super-slim model.

___________________________________________

THE FAQ:

Q: Why should I buy a PS3 at all? What's it good for?

A: With a PS3 you can play disc-based or downloaded games and this includes no-fee support for multiplayer, play Blu-ray, DVD movies or stream, rent or download movies or your own videos, play CDs or upload and play your own music, upload and display your photos, listen to Internet radio stations, access an ever-increasing number of Internet services such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Music Unlimited, browse the Web, play content off DLNA-compatible computers, laptops, media servers or network-attached storage (NAS) or allow your computers to play content stored on your PS3, integrate with your PSP or Vita portable consoles.

Q: In what ways is the new PS3 different from the current models?

A: The new model (Super Slim) is smaller, lighter, more quiet, more power efficient, has a larger HDD and has discs top-loaded vs. front-loaded on the Slim.

Q: Can I get the console without the games and pay less?

A: No. This is probably the best PS3 deal you are likely to get this year, with or without games.

Q: Should I buy this bundle or should I wait for more choices or a price drop?

A: Wait if you feel like gambling but even if a better deal pops up between now and Christmas it's not likely to be a lot better.

Q: Isn't Sony expected to announce the PS4 soon?

A: It is likely that Sony's next generation console will be launched in 2013. Sony recently committed to support the PS3 at least through 2015.

Q: If I already have a PS3 is this model worth the upgrade?

A: See the answer to the first question. The new model has an additional 90GB of HDD storage when compared to the 160GB Slim.

Q: I am planning to buy my first Sony console? Should I buy the Slim, the Super Slim (this bundle) or wait for the PS4?

A: This bundle has a lot of value. We bought our first PS3 in 2007 and we paid a lot for it. The reward was us enjoying it for the 2 years between the time of our purchase and Sony announcing some less expensive models. In our case it was well worth it. I would expect the PS3 to remain a viable gaming platform and home entertainment center for at least two more years.

Q: I owned an older model. Is the new model compatible with all my existing peripherals: controllers, Move, Eye camera, keyboard, charger?

A: Yes.

Q: Does this model come with HDMI, USB cables?

A: There is a USB cable in the box but you will have to supply your own HDMI if you need one.

Q: Once I buy this bundle, what else will I need to have a fully functional console?

A: You should buy an HDMI cable if you are going to connect your PS3 to an HD TV. You may also want a second controller. A Move bundle (controllers, camera) is highly optional. A charger should be okay but it's not needed because controllers charge through the PS3's USB ports.

Q: If I buy the 250GB model can I upgrade later to a larger size?

A: Yes, Sony will allow you to replace the existing HDD with a compatible 2.5" SATA drive without voiding the warranty. There are dozens of step-by-step guides on YouTube.

Q: Will I have to pay Sony if I wanted to play co-op or multiplayer games?

A: No. The basic PSN access is free. There is the Playstation Plus option that adds some perks such as free trial games, betas and demos and some discounts on downloaded titles but `non-essential' is the key word. I never felt I needed to pay for that service.

Q: Is there a complete list of services currently on the PS3?

A: This is what is available at the time I'm writing this: NFL Sunday Ticket, Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Vudu HD Movies, Crunchyroll (anime), NHL Gamecenter Live, MLB.tv, XOS College Sports, CinemaNow, Laugh Factory Live (beta), Music Unlimited.

I highly recommend these covers. If you buy a new controller use one of these to keep it new and clean. They have good grip on each side and they keep your hands from getting sweaty if you have that problem, like me. The one problem is the rubber around the analog sticks needs to be cut or it gets in the way. Overall these are great.

I browsed and read customer reviews from other skins on amazon claiming that the skins that they viewed in the pictures were not the skins they received. That was really one of my biggest concerns. Well, i received my skins today and they are EXACTLY the same skins in the pick and they fit perfectly on my PS3 dual shock controller and they are very comfortable.I am very happy with this product and if needed i will have no problem ordering from them again.

The only some what non positive comment i will leave is that the shipping time took a little longer than expected as i went with the free shipping. But if the product is exactly what you need i have no problems waiting a few extra days to receive it.

These are not bad. My hands would sweat up and i would have to blow on the controller and my hands. Since i put these one, it seems to allow my hands to breathe, haven't had that sweaty feeling. Sure a little warmth, but not like before. The only downfall, where i stated not complete. It is obvious how the molds were put together. There is still excess material on the sides. When you hold the ocntroller you feel it. I smoothed my edges down and feels nice. The bumps on it does play a positive factor on handling the controller, i feel more stable with it.

It's not really like most steel cases because of the fact that it has an almost "glossy" paint finish (which appears to scratch off easily). Another kinda thing i could nitpick about is that lightning's face IS the front cover and the ff13 logo is the back which just seems kinda backwards to me but its not a big deal. However the inside of the case also has some pretty cool images.

I truly enjoy Final Fantasy XIII. Despite the harsh reviews it received elsewhere, it still has an 8.6/10 rating from professional critics, and I'd personally give it about a 9.7 myself. The thing that had people complaining about was the straight line of gameplay with few to no alternate routes in the first half of the game. I won't spoil it for you, but this was an intentional design to get the player trapped in the mindset of characters, and the straight line of gameplay disappears after the first half of the game.

Regarding the Limited Edition collector's packaging, I'd agree with some of the other harsher reviews that it's not worth $200. I'm an extreme Final Fantasy fan though, and I personally would (and have) paid the difference between the game itself and the collector's packaging, which at the time was about $125 (total). It comes with three lithographs that are two-sided, so you can't display all 6 lithographs simultaneously. The lithographs come in a small paper sleeve wrap that really isn't worth anything, but it makes opening it a little more exciting. It comes with a CD with a selection of music from the game that both I and my 2 and a half year old son absolutely love. My wife is fond of it too.) There are two decals that can be displayed on glass or any other smooth surface. Finally there's a hardback artbook with scenes from the game.

Is it worth $200? Probably not. But that's pretty much the case with any collectible merchandise. I would not spend $200 on it, but the ~$125 that I paid was reasonable. I will be honest and say that I also purchase some of these for resale, and most buyers find $150-$170 reasonable on eBay and other places. If you do research and are willing to wait 6 weeks for it to come in, you can also look at importing your own for around $100, which may be subject to import duties depending on how much you import a year. You don't need to worry about compatibility issues, though, as PS3 games are not region encoded and both the AU and the UK version will play on any PS3 system worldwide.

The collector's edition for this game is somewhat standard of what you would get usually with collectors edition for games like a small artbook, codes for exclusive content, etc. The price for this though is a bit too ridiculios and expensive if you ask me.

I'm currently on my third playthrough of this game; it's great. I've wanted to get this Collector's Edition for some time, but it's always way too expensive. The contents of the CE do not justify the price point. Just because something is an import doesn't mean there has to be a huge mark-up. This CE is going for around $35 in like new condition in the UK

$35 there, over $100 here. Where's the fairness in this? I will be getting this CE, but not until I can find it for the right price.

Before I purchased this HDMI cable for my Roku XDS I shopped around first at nearby Walmart and Best Buy, and read some reviews for this product. I'm a retired electrical engineer and do not believe on going overboard, spending more than adequate to get a good result on audio and video component. There are cables in the market that are priced too high to get the money out of those people who are willing to pay the price. Those people always believed that if the price is high, the product must be very good. For digital signal transmission, this HDMI cable is more than adequate. My video and audio were not degraded, and I did not notice any lost of clarity either on video or audio signal.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my computer to stream video from the internet to my HDTV. The picture is clear and the sound quality is very good. I don't see any difference while using this cable from computer to HDTV than I do when watching TV directly from my satellite box. The only problem I have with this cable is that it is very thick due to the braiding, which makes it hard to turn. I need to plug it into one side of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the other side where I place my computer out of tripping range. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop around and it's heavier than the other cables I have. This cable would probably be best for professional use where there might be heavy usage and plugging and unplugging of the cord. It will probably stand the test of time and constant movement easier than the regular smooth vinyl cables. But, for normal home use, the vinyl cables are easier to handle.

For anyone who has not used an HDMI cable and is new to HDTV, this cable can be used to hook up your cable box, DVD or Blu Ray disc player, computer, Wii, sound system and whatever else you have that has an HDMI cable connector. You do not need to use separate audio cables as this beauty steams everything through it. It's super simple to use just plug it in to your HDTV and plug the other end into the other component and play. I suggest getting HDMI cables for each separate component so you don't have to pull out the DVD cable to plug in your computer.

WHO NEEDS IT?

This wire should work well with anything that supports HDMI 1.3x but it's built to comply with the higher HDMI 1.4 standard. You may consider this product if you have TWO devices that support HDMI 1.4. For these, the cable will carry through HD images and Ethernet data therefore eliminating the need for one dedicated Ethernet cable and one Ethernet port. Again, on a pair of connected HDMI 1.4 devices, it will eliminate the need of a dedicated audio cable if, let's say, your TV needs to send sound back to your receiver it may have a built-in Blu/DVD player or get its input through an USB port. You may also consider this cable if you currently need an extra HDMI 1.3 cable but you are planning to to replace your existing equipment with some HDMI 1.4 ready hardware in the near future.

As far as HDMI 1.4 stands, this cable is 'it'. It's the complete implementation because it supports ALL HDMI 1.4 features.

HOW GOOD IS IT?

Behaves as a HDMI 1.3x 'high speed' or 'category 2' cable.

As a 'high speed' HDMI 1.4 cable, it supports video resolutions of at least 1080p and can go as high as 4K.

The 'data channel' (Ethernet support) works only with HDMI 1.4 ready equipment.

The 'audio return channel' is another feature supported by HDMI 1.4 ready equipment only. It will allow for audio to be sent 'back' from, let's say a TV to the HDMI 1.4 compliant receiver, therefore eliminating the need for a dedicated audio cable.

It should support all the HDMI 1.4 extra color palettes because those are implemented by the HDMI 1.4 compliant connected equipment.

You may want to get this cable even if your equipment is not HDMI 1.4, it doesn't hurt to get a wire that supports a higher standard and, with free shipping the price difference is not that great. And, keep in mind that Amazon stands behind this product so returns should be easy.

END OF REVIEW

______________________________________________________

What follows is the byproduct of me attempting to clarify 'HDMI 1.4' for myself and understanding this specific product's features. I thought I'd share.

WHAT'S IN A NAME? (understanding this cable's features)

HDMI 1.4 is a new HDMI standard adopted in 2009, backward compatible with HDMI 1.3. This cable should work with your existing equipment.

HIGH SPEED indicates that this cable supports resolutions of 1080p or higher and 3D video (unlike the HDMI 1.4 STANDARD cables which, believe it or not, are limited to 720p/1080i why? nobody knows).

ETHERNET means that this cable supports a full-duplex 100 Mb/sec Ethernet connection if you have 2 HDMI 1.4 ready devices and they both need an network connection, this cable will carry through the Ethernet datastream to the second device, therefore saving you the need for one extra Ethernet cable.

Audio Return Channel is a feature that would save you the need of a dedicated audio cable between 2 HDMI 1.4 compliant devices.

This cable should support the full set of 3D features found in the new TVs.

THE HDMI 1.4x DIFFERENCE

HDMI 1.4 allows for the following new features:

Ethernet Channel allows for the 2 connected devices to communicate with each other and share one network connection.

Audio Return Channel eliminates the need of a second cable if you want to send audio from your TV back to your receiver.

3D It's supported by HDMI 1.3x but HDMI 1.4a specifically supports all the currently agreed-upon industry standards

4K resolution good to have it but there is nothing on today's market that would take advantage of this

Expanded support for new color spaces by supporting sYCC601, AdobeRGB, and AdobeYCC601 it better aligns your display with the color spaces supported by digital cameras.

Type D connector the 'Micro' connector is to be used by small, portable devices with supported resolutions of up to 1080p.

The HDMI Consortium defines 4 broad types of HDMI 1.4 cables:

* Standard HDMI Cable

* High Speed HDMI Cable

* Standard HDMI Cable with Ethernet

* High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet

Of the above, only the 'High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet' (this one) makes sense and it's likely to emerge as the common HDMI 1.4 cable.

Standard cables are limited to lower-resolution displays up to (approx. 720p or 1080i). High Speed cables support higher-resolution display (e.g. 1080p). They can deliver all video content currently defined for the HDMI standard (i.e. more than two 1080p/60 video streams, including 3D). HDMI cables with Ethernet are capable of sending 100/mbps over the HDMI Ethernet Channel. Since it is not likely that many HDMI 1.4 'standard' cables will be made or sold, I suspect that the crippled 'standard' type exists only to allow for calling the cables that support 1080p 'high speed' which sounds good and high-end.

The GOOD:

Nice soft plastic feel.

Responsive comfortable L2/R2 triggers.

Shares the dimensions of the Xbox 360 controller.

Nice force feedback / SixAxis tilt capability.

The BAD:

Analogues have very noticeable "dead zones."

D-Pad is vague.

Face buttons intermittently do not respond.

Requires one USB port for the wireless receiver.

Requires another USB port in order to charge. (Cannot play via USB cable in lieu of receiver.)

Bottom line:

If you're looking for a comfy controller to use with shooters, platformers, driving games, or ...any game that requires responsive analogue inputs from the player, this isn't a good controller to own. I'm sorry. I had my hopes up too, but at least you still have your money :P

This controller is a waste. Only a couple of days of light use and the L1, R1, and L2 buttons are unresponsive. The D pad was laughable from day one. The company and warranty are simply a joke. Save your money or buy another ps3 controller. It's no secret third party controllers are junk and this one is no exception.

I started playing MW2 on Xbox and thought the Xbox controller felt really natural. I moved over to PS3 for numerous reasons, but found the DS3 controller terrible for MW2 and Black Ops.

I found the Nyko Raven and really liked the way it felt in my hand. The triggers felt awesome. The reversed left analog stick feels perfect. I really wanted to love this product.....BUT it is is impossible to use with first person shooters. There is a VERY noticeable lag/dead zone.....whatever you want to call it. On someone that was really far away, it literally took me 15 secs to get the crosshairs on him. Completely unacceptable. Supposedly this is because it communicates via 2.4 ghz instead of bluetooth. Apparently if you are using it for other games it is great, but for FPS it is definitely worthless. Also tried playing with the included mini USB cable and no luck...it still has the lag issue.

I owned this controller for a few months before I finally got rid of it. Overall, it wasn't very impressive. Both analog sticks have significant dead zones: over 1/4 of their total movement range from the neutral position doesn't register. The face buttons (square, triangle, circle, X) require a lot of force to register, as do the L1/R1 buttons. The controller itself seems comfortable to hold at first, but the ergonomics for it are really strange, and led to hand cramping after an hour or so of use. The rubberized finish also felt really cheap and seems like it would have started to flake off eventually.

There weren't many positives to this controller: the d-pad is decent, the force feedback is adequate, and the hardware option to switch L1/L2 and R1/R2 mapping is neat, but that's about it.

Nyko usually makes some decent quality producs, but unfortunately, this isn't one of them.

Well the controller itself is pretty comfortable and fits my hands much better than the Sony controller. However, after a few days of trying to get it to work, I have yet to do so. The controller will not sync with the receiver it just won't! I am currently in the process of contacting Madcatz's tech support, so we'll see if my controller gets replaced or if I get a refund. I like Madcatz and was excited to give this controller a try, but no luck yet.

If your looking for an extra controller on your PS3 and don't wanna shell out 50 bones for a Sony brand controller, this is the one for you. It's just as effective and reliable as the Sony brand only devoid of a few perks. It needs to have a wireless receiver plugged into the usb slot in order to work and it needs AA batteries to function (although it has a decent battery life span). It's bulkier than the Sony brand, but it works just fine and is ideal for having that extra controller around for multiplayer games.

Defective right out of box. Would not sync to the PS3. Spend the extra ten dollars and buy the Sony controller.

This controller seems to work fine, except that it drains battery like crazy. If you accidentally forget to turn off the controller after you're done playing, most likely when you return the batteries will be drained. Not good if you have kids since they never remember.

This controller worked for about a month and then stopped connecting to the PS3. Tech support from the company is basically non-existent. So save your receipt or spend a little extra to by a real Sony controller.

This item also was not at all what I expected. Again I was looking for a hard plastic rimmed object or stretchy cover that would snap over the drums and cymbals. These are cling-on decals; they adhered well to the center of the drums and cymbals however the edges are already curling up! Disappointed.

It looks great but unfortunately once you apply the decals to the drums you need to hit harder to get the notes. Not a good idea.

Would like to see it be more durable. It is tearing apart already and I just bought it. It is easier to use the drum set with it.

Graphics 5.0

This is actually the first ever Naruto video game I've played in depth. I was a big fan of the TV series a few years back, and seeing this game in all its HD goodness really brought back memories. NUNS uses a type of cel-shading that, for all intents and purposes, looks amazing in comparison to other games I've seen and even exceeds the art/animation quality of the anime. Colors, line detail, and shadowing all look fantastic for the characters. I was especially impressed at the fluidity of battles and fighting motions that seem to have been captured and digitally recreated to perfection. In contrast, the backgrounds are a bit dull, but even in the manga/anime, they were never that big of a factor in terms of art. Aside from that, this is easily the best looking Naruto game to date, thus far.

Audio 4.5

NUNS offers a Dolby Digital 5.1 track in both Japanese and English. For a video game, I thought it was adequate considering that most titles these days are just now starting to delve further into higher quality audio. Directionality is fairly good, balancing music, sound effects, and dialogue mostly through the front sound stage, but also through the rears on occasion. Voices and sound effects are taken straight from the anime, providing a familiar experience to fans of whichever language they prefer. I believe I heard that the music was also composed by Toshio Masuda (the composer of the series' score), or at least someone from his staff, so that's another plus. The only problem is the Ultimate Jutsu glitch, where on occasion you'll hear this explosion sound loop in itself at the end of a battle.

Gameplay 4.0

NUNS makes for a visual treat in terms of commercial fighting games. If you or your friends are fans of the franchise, you'll probably enjoy hours of fun fighting against each other with most of your favorite characters. However, the story mode leaves much to be desired. Basically, you run around Konoha performing ninja missions, most of them coming in the form of mini games, and then the occasional battle and even monster battles (which graphically speaking are the prettiest parts of the game). Story mode itself is fun at first. But with little diversity and no cut scenes whatsoever to advance the plot, one can only hope that, with their foot now in the door, Namco will improve on this flaw in future installments.

The battle system itself isn't really a "fighting game" in the sense of the usual suspects (Street Fighter, Soul Caliber, Tekken, etc.), but more so a button masher. Players can essentially have 4 items to use in-battle, one jutsu, one ultimate jutsu, and 1-2 support characters that can either combo or jutsu as backup. Don't let the button mashing be too big a concern, however. There are actually enough tactics you could use to make it a little more challenging when fighting someone who actually knows how to play. Unfortunately, most of my friends don't... But overall, it's still fun to play with friends, if not for the experience, then at least for the eye candy.

Packaging 5.0

NUNS Limited Edition comes in a spiffy steelbook casing and includes the game, the soundtrack, and a limited edition Naruto laser cel. There is also a plastic slipcover with the PS3 and NUNS logos printed on the front and a small picture of Itachi on the bottom of the spine that goes over the case. The case itself has a picture of Kyuubi (Nine-tails) Naruto on the front and Cursed Seal Sasuke on the back. If your friends have tendency of not washing their hands, be prepared to wipe a lot of fingerprint smudges off the case after they leave.

Overall 4.0

If you're a fan of the franchise and can spare the money, it's worth looking into, but only if you plan on having friends over on a regular basis. The visuals and audio are top-notch, but aside from the battles, the story mode just isn't enough as it becomes more and more stale after a while. Recommended for fans, a rental at best for the casual gamer.

Beautiful scenarios, great background music, nice 3D stylish characters, becomes part of this game, if you are a Naruto Fan and you are a follower of the series this is a must have game. It follows a lot the history from the anime, since the characters become Genins and they need to develop their skill.

Complete missions, fulfill additional tasks in order to trade them for scrolls for new techniques for different characters find and obtain new ingredients for new Ramen recepies and as a plus your chakra level will be increased.

Walk around Konoha to find treasure chests, scrolls, talk to new characters, stores where you can sell your extra stuff, buy new ninja gadgets, buy music, figurines, find new missions in order to get Ryu and XP.

You can choose the Story Mode to follow the adventures of Naruto or the Versus Mode where you can fight against your friends or the CPU and test your skills as a true Kohona Shinobi.

This game is the kind of game you will spend a lot of hours playing.

If you've seen the trailer/demo for this game then you know how beautiful the graphics are. Gameplay looks better than any of the previous installments but lacks content. The entire game can be finished within 30 hours, but missions become repetitive after the first few runs. The battle mode is a lot of fun with friends and with all of the playable characters the fighting never gets boring.

Bottom line: if you're looking for an RPG, this game doesn't have too much to offer but as a fighting game the replay and value is endless.

I ordered the Limited edition of the game and when it came in it was just the regular edition. I payed more money for the regular version, this is Bulls**t!

Ninja Storm compares closer to a party fighting game, like Super Smash Brothers, than something like Street Fighter or Virtua Fighter. Very simple controls and once someone learns those controls they simply must learn to use what they know right. Very quick to learn but mastering will take a bit longer. 25 characters, all unique and fun to fight with. You'll find some characters are more your style while others surely aren't. The controls are perfect and the fights remain very fast.

The single player story mode took me a little over 10 hours but it was fun, especially for someone who didn't finish the Manga or television show. The campaign follows through all the major story parts, some of the side missions follow filler episodes.

I highly recommend the game for people who both do and do not like fighting gamesthis is a fun party style game that you and a friend can quickly pick up and thoroughly enjoy. With enough characters to keep you busy for atleast a while and the decent story mode to let you sortof 'feel' the characters, I'd say the game is exactly what it is supposed to be and I say it's worth atleast a 50 dollar price tag (though I did pay for the special edition and don't regret it one bit)
