I needed this so I could have put my Playstation Eye on top of my TV for the PS3 Eye camera mainly for the better angle. I recently just bought the PS3 Move bundle. I didn't like putting it under the TV, because of the corded wire the Playstation Eye comes with, and it got in the way of my other things I put on the TV stand as well. I now have it sitting on top of my tv because of the clip, and the cord is behind the TV. Now my TV stand is more clear, neat, and organized.

The PS3 Move Clip is awesome. I opened the box, clipped on the Playstation Eye to it. I just then rested it onto top of my TV. It was that easy. It has a secure fit, and you don't have to worry about it slipping or falling off. No worries about damaging your TV as well. It has padding in which it will protect your TV. It will also protect your Playstation Eye from scratching as well because it fits right into the clip. As shown in the video clip my LCD didn't have a flat surface on top and even if it did have a flat surface, I'd still buy it so I wouldn't have to worry about my Playstation Eye falling off. Due to things like from gaming (vibrations). I have an Philips LCD which has the outer ring for the ambilight feature, and because of this I couldn't put the Playstation Eye on top of my TV. So I bought this clip for it, and it's simply perfect for it. Gaming will be more fun now, and not having to worry about interference. When the Playstation Eye was on the bottom of the TV, I didn't like the angle that much. Even though you can adjust the Playstation Eye, it didn't cover the entire range I wanted it to be in. Now that it's on top, it has a better view of me. Playstation Move will be fun to play with more now, and I can't wait for the other amazing games to come out such has Time Crisis: Razing Storm and Fight: Lights Out. I already own Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, and recently just bought Heavy Rain (from amazon's goldbox deal). I bought it mainly because it's PS3 Move compatible.

Purchased 2 of these and they both work great! One now sits on top of my older Sony KDS-60A3000 rear-projection LCD HDTV and the other sits on top of my Samsung 46C750 LCD HDTV. The clip adjusts nearly 180 degrees so each fits snugly while accommodating the Playstation Eye perfectly.

As a long-time owner of the PS Eye, I don't know why someone didn't come up with this sooner. Well worth the $12.99 purchase cost to easily and harmlessly mount the PS Eye on top of your flatscreen TV and to avoid the PS Eye slipping off its high perch.

I have a SONY 52-XBR9 and was worried that this would not fit correctly or would scratch the top of the TV, but fortunately there is padding in place of where it clips onto the tv. It does not clip on hard to where it would damage any part of the TV. It is snug and just sits in place. Also, the camera lens is still adjustable.

I would recommend this for anyone who is wanting to place their PS3 Eye on top of their LCD.

I didnt want to spring for the 40 dollar TV mount for the Xbox Kinect so bought this instead. It works absolutely fine and fits nicely for a Kinect. Note it of course does not lock it into place like the PS3 Eye, but provides a flat spot on the top of your TV where you can simply set the Kinect. If you have a solid TV you should be fine. If your TV wobbles some when you are jumping up and down from playing your Kinect then it might fall off. So just use a little tape and common sense and save yourself nearly 30 bucks by getting this instead of the official Xbox Kinect TV mount.

I've added an image showing me using it with my Kinect.

I gave this to my nephew as an early Christmas present and he loves it. The color is really nice, it has almost an iridescent sheen, but its opaque. Better than in the pictures. I mainly picked it out for the color, blue is his favorite, so I didn't really care what the game was. He tried Invizimals a few times, but was more interested in some other games he received. He is only 9, but almost seemed a little too mature for the game, but maybe that is just his taste. The camera is a great edition to this pack, he really enjoyed taking pictures and making short videos. He takes his PSP almost everywhere, and receives tons of compliments on it. I would highly recommend it, its a great value, the camera is really fun, and the limited edition color really makes it stand out. One downside is that the game and umd movie come in a soft case only, he had some travel umd cases, so it wasn't that much of an issue, but still not as nice as the real boxes.

This was a super hit for christmas! My daughter loves it. As for me, the parent.. It shipped quickly, it is an awesome color blue and works perfectly so far. The price is a bit much, but worth it seing that it comes with a movie, game and camera. Meatballs was a strange choice for the package but you can always trade it in toward something else.

Can I start off by saying, I LOVE THIS SYSTEM AND THE GAME. This brings back memories as a kid because years ago I would play games forever and I'm a FINAL FANTASY FANATIC but back to why you should get this. Originally this color along with the other CARNIVAL COLORS is sold in JAPAN,EUROPE,ASIA AND THE UK but not in America (PERIOD!!) unless you purchase it from the internet but there is one sold in stores that comes with one of the METAL GEAR SOLID GAMES and its the SPIRIT GREEN PSP,otherwise you will be getting the standard black, white or silver bundles. The system is region 1 locked, meaning you cannot and I repeat CANNOT watch UMD MOVIES from other countries but the games aren't for instance only movies in the USA are able to watch but you can purchase games and play them from anywhere because there isnt a restriction on them but this goes for any psp model you buy in America unless you downgrade your firmware but I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT because you will void the warranty. So do not FRET as long as you just enjoy what you have instead of trying to manipulate this system in anyway. This VIBRANT BLUE BUNDLE PACK is a steal with the INVIZIMALS UMD, which is a lot of fun. Groups of all ages would enjoy this game. I haven't watched CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS because of playing the game so much but one thing I did hate about it was with the 1GB MEMORY STICK that comes with it but you can always buy one with more memory and a suggestion would be to get a MEMORY STICK PRO DUO with MARK 2 or better for faster file transfers! ALL IN ALL!!, GREAT BUY!!, GREAT SYSTEM AND DEFINITELY WILL PUT THE SMILES ON FACES CHRISTMAS MORNING BECAUSE I'M STILL SMILING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool, cool, cool. If you want a PSP you'll love it. If you like pokemon, you'll like it. If you think it's stupid, you're wrong. i have this and got Little Big Planet for it. I use it everyday. And when you get bored, there's over 50 demos to download (sorry wi-fi only) and almost every game can use wifi which unlocks awesome powers (figure of speech). Trust me. Like i said about beyblades, awesomness in a box.

I've been a fan of the first prototype ever since i've played it. Prototype 2 really steps it up from the first in all aspects. I have been following for a bit of what the developers have said the changes in this sequel and it delivered. The graphics got a big boost, the game definitely seems longer, combat system is even better, new combat skills with a boost to the same ones, and what I probably noticed right off is that the environment seems to be scaled quite well compared to the first. Even though there is a new protagonist there are still quite a few tie-ins from the first game. If you haven't played the first, but are interested in Prototype 2 I recommend playing, although there is a prototype recap on the menu (I haven't messed with yet).

So far from playing it there really hasn't been any cons at all besides a few tad nit-picky things. The story is better than the first overall, but it still kind of feels like the first in terms of a little repetitiveness and kind of goes off trail. I recommend trying to get the Radnet edition to make the game more worthwhile. I was thinking the game had challenges like the first one, but radnet gives you some new challenges each week (for now anyway depending on when you purchase). With completing the challenges you get a few new things in terms of content. I guess it is a little trade off since there is the blacknet side missions you can do.

*Update. The //Blacknet Side missions kind of tie in with the story line missions, but are optional. The game length will depend on how you play also, with the challenges slowly being unlocked on Radnet.

Oh and don't listen to Timetorise, definitely is a troll trying to be funny.

Update:

I also wanted to add that everything in Radnet Edition content is free even the 5 system themes you get that are coming up EXCEPT the 2 DLC: Colossal Mayhem Pack and Excessive Force Pack. The Colossal Mayhem (May 8th) will be 4.99$ on PSN and i'm guessing the Excessive Force Pack (May 29th) MIGHT be the same cost as well.

Update 2:

"Received" The First Freebie Thursday and installed the 2 wallpapers and I would consider them "Premium Themes" since there is animation on them, but doesn't change your XMB icons. They are cool nonetheless.

The first "Prototype" was a game that, despite it's amazing potential, fell short of what it was capable of by the last few hours of the game. While it was an enjoyable experience for sure, there was a certain type of magic missing, not to mention a decent mission structure and polished gameplay. This gamer loved it, but knew that there was much more Radical could have done to match the greatness of their fantastic last-gen title, "The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction." But given that people love running up walls and blowing things up in video games historically, it sold well enough for Activision to give the talented developer another crack at the franchise. That's a good thing, because while "Prototype 2" will certainly not be the best game you play this year, it will give you some of the best times you're going to have with one.

Taking off a few years after the initial entry, this sequel puts you the boots of Army sergeant James Heller, who has lost his wife and daughter to the Mercer virus that has turned New York City into a parasite-infested wasteland. Fueled by PTSD from the Iraq War and rage from losing his family, Heller swears vengeance on Alex Mercer, the originator of the virus. For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Mercer was the protagonist of the first game, and seeing him in a whole new light really broadens the scope and perspective within the continuity. In this, he's a maniacal sociopath who has been corrupted by the virus that turned him into a superhuman, and on a whim, he decides to give this superhuman virus to Heller because he displays a large amount of spunk. This is a big mistake due to the fact that Heller has a burning hatred for Mercer, and what occurs is a fun and compelling revenge yarn between the two men.

Unlike the first game, "Prototype 2"'s story starts off kind of weak but soon turns into something genuinely compelling and fun. Both Heller's conquest of revenge and his one-man attack against the oppressive Blackwatch military that abducts innocent civilians to test new viruses on them make for some good, B-grade entertainment. The more characters that get introduced, the more perspectives the player is given access to, and watching these different outlooks and personalities mesh makes for a fun time during cutscenes. No character, though, is as entertaining and fun as Heller himself. A walking profanity and trash-talk machine, James isn't written off as the "stoic and angry African-American male" cliche that too many games use, and instead is one of the best and most believable Black leads in gaming. While the story isn't really anything groundbreaking or tearjerking (in fact, it's one of the weaker parts of the game), Heller makes it an overall more entertaining experience.

But one could ignore the story in "Prototype 2" and not miss much from their overall experience, because one element in the game itself is flawless through-and-through: the gameplay. Instead of forcing the player to work themselves up to a level of power equatable to Mercer's in the first title, Heller starts off with the most of the abilities an average gamer had at the end of "Prototype", and begins to get stronger at a rapid pace. This gives an untold level of power and control to somebody who picks up this title, which is a treat in and of itself. How Radical takes it one step further, though, is that every little gripe people had about the core gameplay before has been addressed, and now everything works the way it should. Heller adjusts perfectly to ledges he stands on, aiming is far more accurate, and gliding from roof to roof is streamlined to perfection. Vehicle controls no longer feel too sketchy, and doing large maneuvers such as ripping the missile launcher off a helicopter in mid-air or duel-wielding different abilities in the heat of battle can be pulled off with minimal effort. For the first time in my long history with video games, a developer has given a player the opportunity to be a superhuman and not held them back with cumbersome controls or overpowered enemies. Running up the sides of skyscrapers, karate-kicking helicopters hundreds of feet above ground... almost nothing in this game is impossible. Radical finally "gets" what people want from a title like this, and so many developers could take a cue from them.

Running around with insane abilities is nothing without a compelling setting, and the level designers obviously knew that. New York Zero is a gorgeous city whose imperfections have been coded with loving attention to detail and overall aesthetic. Every crack in the pavement and every hole in the building are all rendered with the utmost care. The same can be said for both the character models and enemy designs. While the NPC passerby are more or less drab, the main characters all look quite slick, with special notice needed to be given Heller's design. Moreso than Mercer, Heller's model is quite impressive, and always looks completely natural with the parasitic attachments his body grows. To top it off, his movement is fluid and realistic, making for a more believable "hero" than the previous protagonist. Overall, this is game is very pretty to look at, despite the ugly setting.

That's not to say it's all sunshine and daisies in this otherwise stellar game. What really holds Radical back this time around is the fact that their mission structure is questionable, to put it in kinder terms. Which is to say that many of the missions for the approximate first-third of the game are drearily repetitive, to the point where I thought my initial score for the game would be a good bit lower. The majority of these missions involve absorbing a Blackwatch trooper, infiltrating a base, and killing a new enemy/destroying something/absorbing somebody to gain information. It's a cool concept, but it soon wears thin, especially when considering that you're still doing these types of missions near the end of the game. For a game that houses gameplay so wonderful, it's a crying shame to see it getting bogged down by missions that lack creativity. And don't even get me started on the cookie cutter side-missions, which offer little to no incentive outside of gaining some extra experience points. This is a fun game, but the basic structure of the missions might have you believing otherwise at first. Don't worry, though, because when vehicles get introduced, much of this initial boredom is alleviated.

The only thing that never really improves is the music. I can't remember one bit of "Prototype 2"'s soundtrack, and I just finished the game last night. Nothing here is even remotely interesting to listen to. It's not really bad, per se, more than it is uninspired and very cliche. If you've listened to a big budget action movie with swelling orchestra pieces during crucial moments, then you've listened to the soundtrack for this game. What makes up for the lack of an original soundtrack is the phenomenal voice acting, which possesses the rare distinction of having a perfect actor for each and every role in the game. To be honest, that's one of the things that makes the plot more compelling. In the wrong hands, it would've been revenge tripe addled with cliches. Hats off to the voice director for preventing this work from falling into that lamentable pitfall.

A merely functional story, forgettable music and an often boring mission structure still don't hold back this unstoppable beast of a game when all is said and done. "Prototype 2" gives gamers more power than any superpower-driven open world game out there, and while it is nowhere near perfect, it's still a fun game that knows all of the sweet spots to hit. If you're willing to turn your brain off and just have a good time, few games come more highly recommended.

The reemergence of a deadly virus is loose in New York City. Its side effect is mutation and homocidal rage. The virus is actually a biological weapon developed by Gentek Corporation. The release of the virus is blamed on a Gentek scientist, Alex Mercer, when in actuality Gentek is running human trials on the populace. Gentek employed Blackwatch, a highly trained private military to enforce these trials and protect their employees.

Sgt. James Heller returns from his tour in Iraq to find his wife and daughter were killed by mutants after he had told them to trust Blackwatch to control the situation.

You are James Heller and you blame Alex Mercer for the death of your family. Upon returning to America you request duty in the heavily infected Red Zone. Feeling depressed over your family you go to the red zone to die. However, when you encounter Alex Mercer you become bent on revenge, but Alex Mercer has plans of his own.

You become infected, but the virus reacts differently within you and enables you to mutate your body into various weapons you'll use to kill and consume your prey. You'll be able to impersonate everyone you consume right down to their DNA.

To get the information you seek you will have to infiltrate military bases, commandeer APCs, tanks and helicopters, explore lairs of the infected mutants and you will have to kill...a lot.

This is open-world and as in any open-world game, detracting from the main story is decided by the player. With that said, some of these detractions are in forms of finding collectibles such as black box recording devices and tasks such as eliminating field operations teams. Performing these tasks will give you upgrades. You can place a waypoint to aid your search. Once close enough, you're notified on screen with an icon and distance meter. From there you must seek it out on your own. I like this concept because it gives some purpose and reward to exploring.

The interface is intuitive. Pull up your map, cycle through what's available in the area you select, set a waypoint and off you go. It does require two button presses to exit the map, but this is nothing to complain about. You will access the map frequently. The ability to place multiple waypoints would have reduced having to frequently access the map.

Controls are responsive and rarely are camera angles an issue. Heller's feet seem to adhere to verticle surfaces well, especially narrow surfaces. This solves a frustrating issue from the first game. In Prototype 1 trying to run up a narrow surface often resulted in falling off and causing you to utter some explicit words at your TV.

RADNET: Introducing RADNET was a great idea. It was a way to add fun to play content in the game while keeping them separate from the main story.

If you played the first Prototype you know there were things in the game that just didn't fit. Things like collecting glowing orbs for various reasons and other mini-games. It seemed like filler in an otherwise good game.

With RADNET these things are outside of the story and yet rewards gained from completing them are carried into the main game. It's a win-win. RADNET does require an internet connection.

Mission design flows well. The story unfolds gradually as you progress. It makes you want to continue to the next mission to discover more about the story.

As odd as it may sound, Prototype 2 feels more real than its predecessor. Not only are the graphics substantially improved, but I was able to slip into this world and lose track of time and reality. To me this is indicative that a game is doing something right. After all, games are not just entertainment, they are an escape, a way to experience things on an interactive level we likely will never see or do in real life. To that end Prototype 2 delivers.

There is repetition in that the searches for black boxes and field teams are the same in all areas. In fairness, the hunt for black boxes is alright because it makes you explore to locate them and rewards you when you find them all. I think the field team missions could have offered a bit more variety, but they fit with the story.

Prototype 2 improves on the first game with graphics, story and gameplay. It has music fitting the sequences of the missions. It's easy to get absorbed into the game and just have fun.

A lot of people compared the first Prototype with competing videogame Infamous, even though the similarities between the two games were minor. Prototype 2 on the other hand has a lot more in common with Infamous. In fact, this sequel manages to combine many of the qualities of Infamous with the first Prototype to create a game which is much more focused with regards to story, mission structure, and the acquisition of new powers when compared to its predecessor. Taking place a year or so after the first game, Prototype 2 opens with New York City suffering a second outbreak of the Blacklight virus, now being referred to as the Mercer virus since it was supposedly Alex Mercer himself who caused this second outbreak. Sgt. James Heller arrives back home from active duty in Iraq and finds the city under siege from the infected monstrosities born from the virus, but even worse, his wife and daughter were killed as a result of the outbreak. Swearing vengeance on Alex Mercer, the one responsible for spreading the virus, Heller throws himself into battle and takes any and every opportunity to kill the infected so he can eventually find Mercer and make him pay. While on a search and destroy mission in the more heavily infected area of what is now known as New York Zero, Heller's transport is destroyed by Mercer himself. Heller then pursues Mercer through the destroyed city streets in a (obviously) futile attempt to exact his revenge. Mercer casually digs his Claws into Heller and infects him with a modified strain of the Blacklight virus. After being picked up by Blackwatch soldiers and Gentek scientists to be studied and then disposed of, Heller uses his new superhuman abilities to break out of the base. He is then intercepted by Mercer, who informs him that not all is as it seems and recruits him to his cause, which is to take out Blackwatch and Gentek once and for all. Now set loose to discover the truth for himself, Heller's journey will take him through three of New York Zero's islands that he eventually gains full access to as the main story progresses. The first island is designated the Yellow Zone, which is fully under the control of the military and has many refugee camps set up for all the citizens who have been uprooted from their homes due to the outbreak. The second island is the Green Zone, which also has a strong military presence and is the most well put together of the islands, with its citizens going about their daily lives as best they can. The infected occasionally make it through to these first two islands and will attack anyone they come into contact with. The final island, the Red Zone, is what used to be Manhattan Island and was where Alex Mercer had his adventure in the first game. The island has now been fully overrun with the infected monsters and even some of the buildings are on the verge of collapse due to all the fighting between the infected and the military. Other buildings have tendril-like infected tissue growing on them. It's like an episode of The Walking Dead on steroids.

As far as the graphics go, this game does look better and overall more detailed than the first one, although there are significantly better looking games out there. The CGI cutscenes are an exception; they actually look pretty good. They're done in a style of black and white that mirrors what was done in the movie Sin City; only red objects (Heller's hood and infected tissue) and blue objects (computer terminals and the goggles on Blackwatch soldiers' masks) appear in full color. This wouldn't work for most games, but it does for this one. One thing the first Prototype lacked was drive. It's story was interesting, but didn't focus a whole lot on character development. Instead, it concentrated more on what was going on around Alex Mercer and the conspiracy he was trying to unravel about the virus and his past, making the whole experience feel somewhat hollow. This game goes the other way and focuses more on Heller and his interactions with the other characters he encounters, whether it's his old friend and ally Father Luis Guerra, the cold-hearted and dedicated Blackwatch commander Col. Rooks, or Heller's "maker" Alex Mercer. While Heller is no saint and will do whatever it takes to find out who is responsible for the death of his family, he is a more relatable protagonist than Mercer. Also, despite the fact he's a potty-mouth, he provides some genuinely amusing moments when he expresses strong desires to inflict harm on certain characters such as a Blackwatch soldier who calls him out and insults his wife, or another Blackwatch soldier who continuously (and annoyingly) refers to people as "bra". Ignore the other reviewers who say the story for Prototype 2 is rubbish: they're simply wrong. It's not the best story out there and some of what happens is kind of predictable, but there are plenty of interesting twists and turns that will surprise you if you're willing to make the effort to pay attention to the story. Well, before I lose those of you with short attention spans, I'll get to the juicy part of Prototype 2: the gameplay. I'll be the first to admit that this game starts out a bit slow and doesn't really pick up until a little bit before Heller reaches the Red Zone. Still, the missions Heller goes on can be quite fun and normally involve sabotaging Blackwatch's plans to weaponize the infection or destroying infected monsters. Most of the missions will have Heller consuming soldiers or scientists and copying their forms to sneak into their bases, destroying specific targets such as tanks, choppers, or monsters, hunting down human targets to consume them, and even accompanying Blackwatch soldiers on rescue missions through streets filled with infected. There are also plenty of side missions to complete and collectibles to... collect, and even these revolve around the game's story.

The side missions involve Heller using his Hunting Sense which functions like a sonar and lets him track down specific targets. Finding these targets and consuming them lets Heller absorb their memories and gain access to vital information on Blackwatch's operations, making them vulnerable to Heller's sabotage. He goes about this normally by sneaking into military bases to mess things up, racing against time to steal important cargo scattered along rooftops, and the like. Other side missions focus on Heller going into underground Lairs which are breeding grounds for infected that must be destroyed, and other ones involve finding and killing small field teams made up of soldiers and scientists who are conducting experiments in different parts of the city; how you choose to dispose of them is limited only by your own imagination. You can throw a car at them, walk up to them and slice them to ribbons, divebomb them from hundreds of feet in the air, throw them into the ocean, whatever. These side missions, especially the earlier ones, can be somewhat repetitive, but nevertheless they're oh so satisfying. There are even audio recordings called Blackboxes hidden all over the city which are all found in the pockets of dead Blackwatch soldiers. Some of the recordings are interesting, but most just detail the soldiers' last words before being taken out by the infected. All these side missions serve purposes other than to increase playtime. Completing them earns Heller upgrades to all his powers and skills. The upgrade system for Heller's powers and abilities is more in-depth compared to Mercer's in the first game. After earning enough experience points, Heller will level up and be able to add a point to one of his main attributes which increase his overall performance: movement, health, regeneration, etc. Furthermore, completing a set number of side missions and acquiring enough collectibles allows Heller to gain other improvements to his offensive, defensive, and movement abilities. In stark contrast to Mercer gaining pretty much all of his powers by the first game's halfway point, Heller's rise to power is much more gradual (in fact, he doesn't even gain his first power, the Claws, until after the third or fourth main mission). He gains his main powers at specific moments in the game's story, while most of the corresponding upgrades can be acquired by completing the side missions or just killing enemies while in free-roam. It won't be until somewhere around the 75% completion mark that Heller will have pretty much all of his main powers available to him. He'll gain many of the previous game's offensive powers: Claws, Blade, Hammerfists, and Whipfist. Consuming certain infected enemies upgrades the effectiveness and damage output of Heller's offensive powers, as well as changing their appearances (spikes added to the Hammerfists and his Blade growing larger and sharper). There's also a brand new offensive power, Tendrils. This ability has Heller's hands turn into stubby appendages that can release tendrils from his fingers capable of ensnaring and damaging his enemies. The Tendrils can also burst forth in all directions from an ensnared enemy, attach to things around them such as cars and people, and fling them back into the center to crush the target enemy.

All these offensive powers can be equipped from an improved weapon wheel which pauses the game completely and lets you map two powers at the same time to both the square and triangle buttons. For example, let's say you map the Claws to the square button and the Hammerfists to the triangle button. If attacking an enemy with the Claws using the square button is proving to be ineffective, then all you have to do is bash the triangle button to attack the enemy with the more effective Hammerfists. A handy system indeed. Heller also gains a new version of the Shield power, which he can activate simply by pressing the designated block button (R1). The Shield completely protects him from pretty much all forms of damage, whether it's infected monsters slashing at him or attack choppers firing missiles at him, although the trade-off is that he is unable to move when his Shields are up. Heller's own version of the Tendril Barrage Devastator lets him take out many surrounding enemies, and he'll even gain the ability to summon infected monsters to attack his enemies for him. And of course, consuming certain military enemies increases his effectiveness in using weapons like assault rifles, missile launchers, tanks, and attack choppers. He'll even be able to rip gatling guns and missile launchers off of tanks and choppers, allowing him to use them against other enemies. Finally, there are the enemies. A lot of the same enemies from the first Prototype make a return. Marines and Blackwatch soldiers with all their weapons and vehicles make a comeback, as do the Super Soldiers. Many of the previous infected enemies return as well: the weaker, zombie-like infected, nasty Brawlers (replacing the Hunters), and serpent-like Hydras. New infected enemies include obese and armored monstrosities called Juggernauts, the enormous and truly freakish Goliaths, and beings known as Evolved who possess abilities similar to Heller's. These enemies provide fun and challenging battles, but fortunately this game practically never reaches the same level of frustration achieved by certain missions and boss battles in the first game. As the game progresses however, the enemies tend to get easier as Heller continues to grow in power, with the only exception being the final boss (which was truly epic). All in all, Prototype 2 has all the same qualities that made the first Prototype so fun, only it has a level of polish and direction that was lacking in its predecessor. While even this game can be the slightest bit repetitive, it's still a blast and should not be missed by fans of the first game. Even those who didn't like the first Prototype should at least give Prototype 2 a try.

Never played the first game. Never even heard of it until this game came out. Pre-ordered Prototype 2, saw the negative reviews and thought about returning it, but I kept it anyway and I'm glad I did. It's true, the story is weak; fine, who cares. Don't buy this game for the story. Buy this game for the tank smashing, people eating, zombie splitting, helicopter hijacking, New York City roaming video game monster that this is. Turn off your inner Siskel and Ebert that wants to critique the game because tank turrets wouldn't rip apart that way in real life, or the protagonist isn't relatable, or the graphics aren't as crisp as Uncharted 3 (the developers at Naughty Dog sold their souls to be able to do what they do, definitely not a fate every game developer is prepared for). This is your chance to play as an organic version of Terminator 2's T1000 in a 28 Days Later meets Battleship meets The Crow.

When I received this the silicon protector for the controller, I thought I wasted my money on a another cheap product. But I was surprised by how good it look after I put it on my controller. Putting the silicon skin on the controller was a struggle to me, I was afraid I might rip the silicon skin apart. Then I realize it could stretch pretty good before you can rip it. After that, you will feel like you got a brand new controller, it feel really comfortable, and you don't ever have to worry about dropping your controller again. The price is a little high for me, but I was satisfied with what I have purchased.

I really resent that I can't have a purple PS3 controller. What's up with that, Sony? This silicone sleeve is the closest I can get, and it works very well. It doesn't interfere at all with any buttons/sticks and gives a really good grip. My controller used to slip annoyingly often and it's not fun to interrupt killing zombies/skeletons/bad wizards/Legos to have to pick up your controller. I like it but wish it was a prettier purple. Less eggplant, more lavender. But so much better than ubiquitous boring industrial-blah black.

Really spiced up the guitar. The instructions aren't quite right though. you don't have to take the whole guitar apart (it says to remove the neck) for the Rock Band guitar. In fact, it's easier to apply with everything intact since the screws end up getting covered up.

This skin was used w/ the original rock band guitar style that was released. I have had this skin on my guitar since I bought the first rockband and this material is great! This is no simple decal or thin coating. It has a decent thickness and looks great. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a different style on their guitar. Spices things up! Enjoy!

One bit of advice...backing glue is serious stuff so take your time and you will be "rockin with the big boys". Highly recommend this product to dress up your "plain jane" look and set you apart from the crowd!

My first flight stick (or joystick) was the Microsoft Force Feedback Pro which was a very good stick it had some 'slop' in it which eventually got so bad that it was no longer tolerable. It was rugged and comfortable to use, but Microsoft quit making them & also quit supporting them in many flight Sims & newer games. I then had two Saitek Cyborg Evo Joysticks. The first one developed a problem after 11 months with little use, when it went out of calibration and the rudder output stuck in 50% left rudder position and couldn't be fixed by recalibration so it was replaced under 1-year warranty. Within 10 months switch #5 quit working on the second or replacement joystick so at this point I decided to look for a different manufacturers joystick because by now I had lost faith in Saitek being able to make a reliable joystick. I am seventy years old and I take good care of my equipment I don't abuse my joysticks so if they don't last for me I doubt that they would last for anyone. I searched Amazon reading joystick reviews and came across the T-flight Hotas Stick Pc PS3. This joystick had the features I wanted and was rated very high almost 5 stars even though at the time it had only five reviews so I ordered it.

This joystick can be used with either a PC or PlayStation 3. It has a PC-PS3 switch so you can select which one you use.

It came with the throttle and joystick separated so I decided to try it this way for a while. I've had this joystick now since the first week in August 2009 and I really like this joystick.

PRO:

1. It comes in two parts, the throttle & joystick, separated by an interconnecting cable approximately 18" between them but, they can be mounted together as one assembly if desired as the necessary wrench is included and the throttle & joystick are designed to be mounted together as one unit. I like them separated as it is more realistic with the throttle on my left and the joystick on my right.

2. Very simple to connect to your computer. You connect the joystick to the USB port on your computer via the integral USB cable & connector that's it! No separate power supply or adapter is required because this joystick gets its power from your computer through the USB cable/connection.

3. No installation CD included or required as once you connect this joystick to your computer it is automatically recognized and calibrated a plug & play joystick they don't get any simpler than this!

4. The throttle & joystick are very comfortable to hold & use. Together they have twelve programmable switches which are very easy to use on both the throttle & joystick. There are four programmable switches on the joystick module and eight on the throttle module. The joystick can be twisted left-right for the rudder control the throttle module has a slider switch which can also be used for rudder control if so desired. Also there is an eight-position hat switch located on top of the joystick this is normally used for 'looking around' in flight simulator programs. Both modules are quite robust & heavy enough so they don't move around much unless you really give them some pushing around.

5. So far this joystick is performing excellent & a great buy for the money.

CON:

1. None that I know of so far except maybe it would be nice to have the interconnecting cable between the joystick & throttle modules be longer & have connectors that can be unplugged in case of damage they could be replaced. Also I'd like to be able to move them a little further apart.

UNKNOWN:

1. How long will this last before something goes wrong? Only time will tell.

T-flight Hotas Stick Pc PS3

With Tom Clancy's HAWX on the way to the PS3 later this season, and my sudden urge to revisit Freespace 2, X-Wing, the Wing Commander games on my PC, I decided to give this joystick a shot since it was cheaper than PS3 version of the Saitek Aviator, and it's also a hands-on-the-throttle model. I am sure glad I did! This stick is awsome, I am very glad that I gave it a chance even though reviews were scarce.

It has just about every button you could possibly want in a joystick, they all fell right when pressed, it's programmable, has a throttle with an alalog rocker for even more control options, and it all feels very intuitive when held. I tested it in the Windows game controller utility and everything seems to move quite precisely. Afterwards, I played Freespace 2 and the demo for the Battlestar Galactica: Beyond the Red Line mod, and it was a total blast. I was able to map the controls perfectly to all the buttons on the stick, and I was flying like an ace in no time.

They really thought of just about everything for this stick. The throttle module is actually detachable via an included Allan wrench, so if you prefer "cockpit accurate" distance between the stick and throttle, it's there for you. There's even a knob on the bottom of the stick that lets you adjust how much resistance the spring gives you! Pretty much the only thing you don't get is force feedback, but that's hardly shocking since this is an under $50 stick. It's even lap friendly, which is dandy if you don't have a coffee table or your desk is too crowded.

Overall, this is a very good stick, and is great for PS3 users or people looking for an entry level stick for their PC. For under $50, you'd be hard pressed to find a Hotas model as good as this one, and I'd much rather use this for my PS3 than a Saitek Aviator due to it's more solid build quality and hands-on throttle. Unless you'd rather drop $100 on a fancier model, Thrustmaster's console-friendly offering will serve you very well.

T-flight Hotas Stick Pc PS3

This is my second one. I bought the first from Amazon last October-08. I was impressed with it's construction and overall operation ,but it had a few quirks. So I sent it back and paid the re-stock fee.

I've been a Microsoft Flight Simmer for 7-8 years and I've tried and/or owned almost all the joy-sticks and yokes(with and without foot pedals)that have been marketed in this country.

I have a soft spot for my Logitech 3-D Pro that has served me well for many years but I never really cared for their throttle design, and I guess thst's what attracted me to the Thrustmaster Hotas.

After waiting 6-months to give the manufacturer a chance to make another production run (and hopefully overcome the faults I found on my first one) I ordered another and found that it worked flawlessly. I am now a happy "camper".

If joy sticks are your thing, look no further, THIS IS THE ONE.--- Extremely well made, solid professional feel, smooth control actions that allow precise take-offs and landings, heavy weighted, priced right and delivered by Amazon.

Order one now, you won't be sorry !!!!

I've used it for a month now with FlightGear (a serious non-combat PC flight simulator).

The good:

* It has enough buttons and axes for most needs. No matter what you buy, you'll always have to use the keyboard/mouse for some operations such as starting engines, lights, radio. The rocker built into the throttle may be mapped to the rudder if you don't like to rotate the stick.

* It's also comfortable to the hand.

THE BAD:

* Large dead zone. Explanation: The "dead zone" or "dead band" is the small range of motion around the center position where the joystick reports no change. It makes it easier to fly level without holding the stick, but for small corrections (e.g., to stay aligned with the runway when landing) you'll have to swing across that zone. Games (e.g. HAWX) help with this by averaging and filtering your input, but with flight sims you'll overcorrect all the time and you'll hate it.

* You may experience some "sticky" friction from time to time, causing jerky motion.

I guess you get what you pay for :)

The T-flight Hotas Stick is designed to connect via the USB port and work with either a PC or a PS3. So far, we've tried it on a PS3 only with the excellent IL 2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey and with Tom Clancy's HAWX.

I will discuss our experience within the context above.

PACKAGING AND SETUP

Not much to complain in this area. the 'instrument' comes nicely packed and it was easy to get it out of the box.

It's initially separated into 2 modules: the joystick/rudder and the throttle and it's possible to use the joystick only. It took us a couple of minutes to figure out how to fit the 2 pieces together but, in the end, it was no big deal. It comes down to tightening a couple of screws with the supplied tool that is stored safely for future use at the bottom of the stick.

The only other adjustments other than 'programming' would be to 'block' the rudder function on the joystick by tightening another screw so that it's only available on the throttle and to set the proper handle resistance via a dial located on the bottom of the joystick module.

Using the stick with the PS3 is as simple as setting the USB selector button to PS3 and plugging the USB connector into one of PS3's ports, then starting the game.

OPERATION

From a PS3, point of view, I am happy to see that all the Six-Axis buttons, including the PS are mapped on the joystick and the throttle and, most of the time, they are clearly labelled. The main differences are of course, this controller being wired and its lacking rumble and motion sensitivity. To avoid complications, it is possible to start your PS3 with the joystick as the only control and then start your game and operate everything this way.

The manual states that, once you begin using it within a game, the stick will calibrate itself after you make a few moves. We haven't experienced calibration issues so it must be true.

The 8 ft. USB chord may be sufficient for most but it wasn't for us. We have a rather large screen and we play from 8-9 ft. away. The AmazonBasics USB 2.0 A-Male to A-Female Extension Cable (9.8 Feet / 3.0 Meters) took care of that problem.

My 12 yr. old kid feels that the games are more responsive when using the PS3's own motion-sensitive controller. This is probably the case but what this device provides is some level of realism. It's more realistic to pilot a plane with a stick and a throttle than by tilting and shaking a controller. After a little practice, he now prefers the Stick to the PS3 controller.

MY RATING

I found the T-flight Hotas Stick to be a great way to play flight simulation games and, for the price, it can't get much better than this. I am happy with this purchase and so are my kids. It's 5 stars which, in Amazon translation means "we love it".

__________________________________________________

PROGRAMMING

We tried it, just for fun and it turns out to be quite easy even though not exactly needed for the games we are currently playing. It's basically a 4-step process that would allow you to:

switch buttons

switch axes between themselves

switch the directions of the same axis

It's done by enabling the 'manual' mode by pressing a button, press and release the mapping button, press the button or direction you want to program, press and release the button or direction you are placing the function. For all of the above there is visual feedback of LEDs flashing.

Like I said, it can be done but it can get complicated quickly. Thankfully, it's easy to erase your manual preset and to return to the factory defaults.

I picked this up wanting a game that wasn't about killing and fighting and something that young kids (7-10) could both master and enjoy. I'm not disappointed.

The game is obviously platformed for kids. It's not too difficult and actually acts as an excellent tutorial on working the controller's many buttons and levers.

Aside from the actual game, there's also a mini-arcade, which consists of several stand-alone games which can be played one by one or on a tournament basis. Up to eight players can play at one time.

The game allows you to chose between several characters and pick your own musical selections and locations, keeping it from getting too boring. If you're looking for something the whole family can enjoy, this is a good bet.

My daughter and I played the first Madagascar and had a ball. It's nice to see that the second Activision movie tie-in is also lots of fun. Both movie games take the tack of not trying to walk you through the movie but instead focusing on the basic plot elements and wrapping them around fun things to do.

In Madagascar 2: Escape from Africa, you take the role of each of the main characters in the movie. You wander around the landscape fairly openly, switching from one to another at will. As you interact you can decide to help various other characters, and that's what drives the gameplay. For example, Alex the lion scares off a series of other lions by roaring at them, one at a time. Gloria the hippo tucks herself into a ball and "bowls a strike", trying to knock over all ten pins. The games get more complicated--you play the penguins driving a jeep, and have to ram each car in a convoy in succession, and each needs to be hit a number of times.

The biggest success of this game however, is that it plays to its audience. Escape from Africa brings something to the table for children small and not-so-small. Tough quests aren't necessary. Failing a game gives you the option of going and doing something else. As I watched my 10-year-old daughter play, I also noticed that if she had a bit of trouble with a game--but tried it again--the game made itself progressively easier. Imagine the difficulty being like a "Pitch til U Win" game at the carnival.

This might also be its downside: older children highly experienced with these games might say, "That was too easy"...but still get a giggle or two. Younger children will be happy to have something they can play that also surrepetitiously gives them a helping hand. Either way, I can say that the content is perfect for families not only because nothing's inappropriate, but also because nothing is boring. Highly recommended for fans of the movie.

This was a fantastic game. The style of the game is stealth, though if you are on easy difficulty you could just kill whoever the heck you wanted. The online is good you pretty much chose a setting from the game and play through it to create the rules for a high score. you can mark up to 3 targets. In each level (Beat it in two days) there are TONS of ways to do things. There is hidden weapons among the world, hidden outfits, DLC, and random objects you can draw peoples attention by sabotaging things. Its just a massive environment were you can do a lot of different things. At the end of each map it gives you and overall score from collecting items, who you killed, what objectives you fulfilled, etc. If your looking for a game where you kill everyone you can do that but you will more than likely get a negative score on that level. The less causalities (besides your target the better) bought this game when it came out and no regrets.

I cannot believe the reviewer who wrote that resolution and color would be better with an expensive Monster cable. This is a DIGITAL SIGNAL. As such, noise would have to be extreme to switch an off signal to an on and vice versa. Let me make this simple for you you don't need this Monsterously expensive cable for the same reason you don't need a Monster ATA/SATA cable for the hard drives inside your PC.

Still not convinced? Let's look at the claims made by the advertising material:

1) Duraflex protective jacket. Looks great with your PS3. To tell you the truth, I never even SEE the cable attached between my PS3 and my TV, nor is it ever on my mind. As for the greater durability and easier installation, the first is a straw man (you are going to subject said cable to what stress, exactly???) and the second is true of EVERY HDMI cable available in the world today.

2) Dual strain relief, for repeated set up and tear down of the PS3. What, you're so tired of you're system that minute by minute you are disconnecting and reconnecting the cable on the back? How often do you anticipate having to plug/unplug your system, if at all?

3) Silver content solder connections. Transfers delicate low level signals. Complete and utter bollocks. Either the signal transmits or it does not. That is the nature of digital.

4) 24k Gold Contacts. Cuts down on the corrosion. Yep, I'm constantly replacing all of the ribbon cables and power supply lines inside my PCs because they are all corroded. Heh, if gold makes you feel better about getting fleeced, by all means buy Monster.

5) Nitrogen Gas-Injected Dielectric Insulator. Beautiful, if you go for all that Star Trek technobabble. Inverse tacheon retrorefactor emulsifier anyone? This one maximizes your video strength for the best picture possible. But what have we learned so far? The signal is digital it either gets through accurately or it does not. And unless the cable is poor beyond belief, noise is not even going to factor into the equation.

I'm sorry for the other fellow who defends the pricing of Monster cables. Do yourself a favor and call some local electronics stores/cable makers. This king has no clothing, and spending such a horrible sum will leave you looking very silly indeed.

Expensive cables for a digital signal are the worst sort of scam, and people who spend extra money for them are ignorant of the technology. For analog signals, cable-quality can vary your reception-quality (though not as much as people think). But digital signals transmit data in "1s" and "0s." The "1s" and "0s" either get through, or they don't. If they do get through, you have a picture (or sound). If they don't get through, you DO NOT. With digital (unlike analog), you never have to WONDER whether you could, maybe, if only you'd spent a little bit more money, be getting a better result. If you see a picture, you know the "1s" and "0s" got through. If you see NO PICTURE, then your connection is loose, or your dog chewed through the line, or you have a bad cable. There is no in-between. The beauty of HDMI, the beauty if digital, is that you no longer have to wonder. How long will companies like Monster be able to keep this secret. Even worse, they are marketing this cable as "Sony Playstation 3 Monster Cable," as if you needed a specific HDMI cable to work with the Playstation. Shame. You do want to take advantage of the HDMI cable for your Playstation. You don't need to spend more than $15 on that cable though.

Buy PlayStation 3 Monster GameLink HDMI Cable Now

While high end cables make a difference for analog signals (such as composite), the difference is far less with digital signals. In fact, digital signals arose mainly because they were not nearly as prone to noise, and small errors could be fixed with error checking. Thus, buying an expensive digital cable is a complete waste of money the difference will be very slight (if noticeable at all), so save your money for some more games and buy a cheaper cable.

Read Best Reviews of PlayStation 3 Monster GameLink HDMI Cable Here

Bought this cable (paid almost $100) and tried it out at same time with $10 cable, made absolutely no difference. Returned and kept the cheap cable, monster is such a waste of money...

Want PlayStation 3 Monster GameLink HDMI Cable Discount?

The HDMI format, like fiber optic audio cable, transfers digital data.

It is far less subject to the constraints of analog audio or video cable and should be priced accordingly. Companies like Monster and Sony are clearly capitalizing on the public's lack of knowledge about a new technology. Don't be "taken in" and look for more reasonably priced but well constructed cables. If you're simply running a cable from your PS3 to a TV, $10 to $20 is the most you should ever have to spend. With a little hunting, good quality can be found for as little as $6.

Please Monster. Be a little less shameless! Jeez...

I love this toxicity skin! there are no directions though, but it wasn't hard to piece it together if you know your way around your ps3. My only issue was airbubbles... the two larger parts of the skin made them. i used a needle from a syringe to get the air out but a thumbtack would be better. My PS3 looks way cooler now and is way safer than painting it, if you are wanting to paint your expensive PS3, just buy a skin for 12 bucks and save yourself from ruining your playstation. Note, my opinion is based on the PS3 version while driving with Professional physics, ASM/TCS off, using a Sparco cockpit and Logitech G25 wheel.

PRICE nearly a no-brainer buy for fans; but a little high considering it's a prologue, limited number of events and cars.

GRAPHICS improved as expected given the possibilities of the PS3. In a way the sensation of speed has decreased, an ironic side effect of the smooth picture quality. It's easier to look further into the distance.

SOUND really stunning, accurate, raspy, and powerful. Enormous help to the gameplay to hear unique exhaust notes for each car. Huge improvement from GT4.

CARS there are plenty of great cars for everyone rather than recreating hundreds of nearly identical and/or boring, useless-for-racing cars, this game sticks to the cars that are meant to go fast, and does them well. The sound and handling of each is unique and seems to be accurate. And the Ferrari F2007, once you beat the S races and earn the required 2 million credits, is just so cool to drive (even though its quick tune options are limited you can't modify the power, weight, ride height, springs, or driving physics).

TRACKS the Daytona trioval is a lot more interesting to drive than a super speedway like Motegi. Daytona also comes with a road course, and even though I feel driving a road course in the infield of an oval feels a bit unnatural, it's still a fun course. There's also Fuji, Suzuka, London, and High Speed Ring. Not bad.

AI improved number and varied driving personalities, but they still defy the rules of clean racing and the laws of physics with impunity. They drive right through you as you serve your penalties (which they often cause). You'll see shortcutting, using runoff areas for acceleration, wallriding, refusing to back off even when their line is hopeless, and of course bumping and shoving you, leaving you to collect from the new array of infractions. It's getting a bit harsh, but the restart button is only a menu away.

HANDLING if you select "standard" the cars handle pretty much like they did in GT4; if you put it on "professional" then it takes on a more realistic (i.e. unforgiving) character. Default settings are a little mushy even with cars you'd expect to be nimble, and the professional physics render the supercars (Corvette, Ford GT, Ferrari) nearly uncontrollable. After unlocking the S group and quick tune, some cars can have their downforce cranked up to get some handling back, but cars that are more about beauty than function don't have this available. Many of them remain just a tiny mistake away from an unrecoverable slide. No wonder so many inexperienced drivers crack them up (especially if they turn off the driver aids). I completed all the races (except three of the S races) on "professional" but since the AI is not subject to the same realities, you may occasionally need to set it back to "standard" in order to be competitive.

So far the game has overall been enjoyable, and much of the struggle can be overcome by selecting the correct car for each race, just as it was in GT4.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

Right up front, I'll point out the three most obvious things about GT5 Prologue.

1. It looks gorgeous

2. The AI is abominable.

3. There is still no car damage.

To use a lovely english expression : it's all mouth and no trousers. Look past the HD graphics and hype and you'll find Gran Turismo 1 lurking here.

The Gran Turismo games are known for their accurate car handling and fantastic graphics, and GT5 Prologue is no exception. The problem is that it is all absolutely ruined by the other driver AI. Previous Gran Turismo titles have never exactly shone when it comes to the AI, but in GT5 it's simply non-existent. It's not that the AI is dumb, it's just not there. The other cars all drive on rails, irrespective of where you are. For example, on the High Speed Ring circuit there's a challenge to get from the back of the pack to the front in a single lap. In the car they give you, it is 100% impossible to come any higher than 3rd, and that's a stretch. The driving-on-rails is so accurate and predictable that you can actually predict exactly where every car will be at any given point. You'll come up behind the Ford Focus at the end of the second turn, and don't even think about passing him on the outside because he will always jink to the left for no reason as he goes across the bridge. If you're in the way, then tough. The game will just force you off the track. At the next corner, the Mazda 6 will always follow the identical line inside the corner, again irrespective of whether you're there.

The same is true in the other types of race. Within minutes of playing this game, you will find yourself making a tidy corner only to have a much faster car come right up behind you and ram you off the track because you're in the way of it's pre-programmed line. To see how truly awful it is, start a race at the back and watch the 15 cars in front of you. They'll all cut the same corner in the same way, every lap, all with the identical puff of dirt as they do it.

It is simply abominable.

The problem is that this issue was solved long ago by the likes of well just about every other racing franchise out there. It's compounded by the fact that there is still no car damage or dirt in GT5. You can stuff any car into a concrete armco at 175mph and it will simply bounce off without so much as a scratch. To think that Polyphony could put out a game with no car damage and ruinous AI on a next-gen console in 2008 just boggles the mind given how accomplished the competition is (think: Project Gotham Racing).

So what about the eye-candy aspect? Well it runs at 1080p (full HD) and it looks absolutely spectacular. The textures are crisp and don't blur out at highly obtuse angles like they would on an X-Box. The car models are beautiful as are the various effects like the real-time reflections and the colour-flip paint jobs. There is some aliasing on high-contrast areas but detail popup is minimal. There are very noticable level-of-detail swaps on some of the cars where they swap from a low detail to a high detail version. It's most noticable on the Daytona circuit where you'll occasionally see the shading on the back of a car pop noticably as the model swaps to it's higher resolution version. In fact the eye-candy aspect is only marred slightly be the fact that the game clearly doesn't run at 60 frames per second. Well it does on sparsely populated tracks but in the thick of the action on some circuits, you'll see noticable slowdown which you just shouldn't have on a console as powerful as a PS3.

What other things to know about? Well the online aspect of the game has a lot of promise but it's buggy at best. If your PS3 isn't set up pefectly on a broadband network (NAT type 1) it just won't connect to the servers. If you're lucky enough to have a good setup, then even when it does connect, the racing is a bit dodgy. It's obvious that the sample rate for your system communicating with all the others is fairly slow as you'll often see your opponents cars jump across the circuit from one side to the other, or suddenly appear to brake or accelerate at light speed as the servers catch up.

When you come to use the game for the first time, be prepared for a long wait. It seems to copy the entire blu-ray disc on to the internal hard drive which takes a good 15 minutes, then as soon as you connect, it will download a huge update which will take 5 to 10 minutes to download and another 5 minutes to install. So out-of-the-box to first race is about 30 minutes. That seems a bit odd to me I was entirely expecting the game to run off the disc like many of the other PS3 titles.

So GT5 Prologue : it's great eye-candy, sure. But the two biggest, most long-standing problems with the GT franchise are still present. Awful AI and no car damage. The press previews and talk from Polyphony indicate that the full game will have car damage, but historically, they've never been known to change their underlying game engines between the 'Prologue' and the full versions of GT. They have always claimed that they've fixed the AI with each successive version of the game, but honestly GT5 Prologue has taken a massive step backwards. They say it's better than ever but it's actually worse than ever. So when they say there will be car damage in the full game, I say 'cry wolf' I'm afraid.

It's an ominous omen for GT5 later this year. Sure it'll have more cars and more tracks. But chances are it will have the same problems the GT franchise has always had, and that's simply not good enough. Couple that with the questionable frame rate and online problems and that could be disastrous.

I dearly love the GT franchise I've had every one of them and I've been hoping and praying that they would one day fix the AI problems and the lack of car damage. If they've not done it on the PS3, then it's just never going to happen, and that is a sad indictment of Polyphony's marketing strategy. I've played this game a lot, desperately wanting to like it but I always put the controller down and am left with an empty feeling. It's just not exciting.

I've been a fan of racing games for a long time, and actually race in various forms of SCCA racing myself. I've raced high and low powered front and rear wheel drived cars and have learned a lot through competing and the various schools and classes I've attended. I had never played a Gran Turismo game prior to Prologue, having always had XBox or other consoles previously. I had heard so much about it that I didn't even bother with demos and simply bought the game the day it was available. Now having played it for several months all I have to say is I don't think I'll even consider buying the full GT5 whenever it makes it here.

My major gripes are as follows:

1) Atrocious game play layout

2) Poor physics

3) AI and damage are absolutely laughable.

To start with the game play is ridiculous. It reminds me of the old days of games where you do routines over and over and over to gain points/experience/money to buy the next level. The success you have in the races and your carrer mean little in GT5, only if you have the right car or not. You can breeze through each of the various classes by simply buying the right car. Buy the Ford Focus for C class and you cruise through... buy the GT-R for B class and you cruise right through. Buy the Ford GT for the A class and you cruise right through. The only hitch is the little added difficulty of the car specific races. So then you have to repeat races over and over to get enough money to buy the random extra cars. Disappointing, tedious and overall abysmal game play layout.

The online gameplay is even worse... it degrades into bumper cars with idiots and no penalties of meaning, and the pairing system and time from game to game is horrible! It is a very nice touch though that you can actually earn money racing online for your offline activities. That I thought was well though out and appreciable.

On to the physics. I've spent years learning to drive the right way and how to execute proper control. There are tricks of the trade on how to guide a car through certain types of corners and how to achieve certain handling. It simply does not exist in this game. Trail braking and various power on scenarios are not met with the appropriate vehicle responses. Additionally, vehicles with wildly different characteristics will handle nearly identical in this game. It doesn't matter what aids are or not enabled, or what level of physics you choose. Throttle on response was one of the poorest aspects I though in general, but turn in effects weren't far behind! Amazingly pathetic for a game that bills itself as a "the real driving simulator". It also appalling that in some cases the fastest way to execute part of a track is to bounce yourself off a fence or wall. I started doing it out of humor and was horrified to see it actually help in certain situations.

The AI and damage are really in that same vane. They do nothing, they don't exist, and it's all just superfluous featuring. Everyone else has covered these in other reviews, so no need to rehash the well known here.

All griping aside. The graphics are beautiful. The tracks are well rendered. The overall effects and feel of the game are beautiful. But as far as a driving experience and something fun to play... it just doesn't hold any allure in any way for me. Really a true disappointment on many levels from a franchise that I had always heard to be the best out there. There are already much better other racing games out there on the PS3 that I feel have given a lot better game play experience as well and while their physics engines aren't anything great either, at least they don't try to claim "simulation" and get at least a few things down better than GT5 even does even if they are less complete packages for the physics.

The game is as good as the last GT game, graphics are better and the cars seem to respond more lifelike but and this is big, the tuning aspect is maybe 15% of what it was and WOW!!!!! the penalties in the class S races are EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, for example you hit a car and get a penalty usually about 3 to 5 seconds depending on how hard you his the other car. But if a car hits you no penalty for the cpu car and if that car pushed you off track guess what 60% of the time you will get a short cut penalty for going off the track, when that car hit you, it will drive you MAD!!!!! Every car you want to play with you have to buy and if you don't like it you might get back 1/4 of it selling price when you sell it back and when money is hard to come by unless you play online it makes it tough not to be forced to play the same quick big money race over and over and over just to get the cash to buy the many cars you have to buy to complete the game, for example, you have to purchase a BMW M3 100,000, a Ferrari f430, 250,000, a Ferrari 599, 350,000 a Ferrari f40 450,000 and a few other cars to complete the game and with the prize money for the races around 20,000 for first and always having to start 16th rather that QUALIFY it makes it tough and like I said FRUSTRATING. I want to trade it in but I just can't because I am a fan of the game but its sometimes hard to play for more than 1 hour before your blood begins to boil.

Another great looking GT game with semi-simulation game play and some annoyingly unresolved core issues. Your opponents are still mindless cruise missiles who do not respond to your presence on the track at all and who never make mistakes. Plus damage modeling remains absent, though promised DLC sometime this summer is supposed to address that issue. Those of us who remember the "damage" system from GT2 (or Forza for that matter) where you hit a wall at 140 and then the car pulls a bit to the right may be a bit skeptical as to how this will be implemented. The usual GT combination of annoyingly flawless competitors and no damage makes using the other cars as bumpers to improve cornering as tempting as ever, especially in some of the more brutally difficult challenges. (See below.)

This specific implementation has some unique issues. Those of you who feel the GT-R is a bit over-hyped will quickly grow tired of all the added background content about that vehicle in the game. Much like the Acura NSX was the former over favorably modeled vehicle in prior GTs, the GT-R here seems a bit too perfect. A good third of the 75 cars in GT5) featured are useless and boring, a familiar problem from GT4 with its dozens of bland Japanese cars that those outside the Nipponese car buying market could care less about. (5 Skyline Models! 7 Suzuki and Daihatsu Micro-Cars!) However, most of the cars here are reasonably interesting and the graphics are beautiful. The handling model also appears to be as accurate and distinctive for each car as might be expected.

The mere six tracks in the game grow very tiring very quickly. The Daytona oval is as dull as could be imagined, and the London circuit, though gorgeous, is under-utilized in the actual in-game events due to the fact that it has no decent straights and too many sharp angled turns.

Besides bad opponent AI, no damage, GT-R propaganda, a few dull cars, and a teeny variety of tracks, are there any other problems? You betcha! The real problem here is the gameplay. There are about 40 races in the game total at this point, grouped into 4 tiers, each of which must be completed in order to advance. Some of the races, especially in the A tier, are vastly difficult especially A-8, the Ferrari pass them all in one lap. If you can't win that last race in the tier, you need to grind away over and over until you finish it in order to advance.

When you finally get to the last tier ("S"), you will be disappointed; though you can now finally tune your cars, your tuning options mainly amount to either minute changes in camber and brake balance a la NASCAR, or beefing hp up / weight down or vice versa in order to balance cars out in each race. The added "joy" of S class racing is the return of the GT4 5 second penalty for bumping other racers and / or the landscape. As was also the case in GT4, you are penalized even if the drone racers hit you, while they are not.

The game so ends with a whimper rather than a bang as you strap weights onto your car to trim it into the point category, and then grind your teeth in frustration as your cruise missile opponents hit you from behind and vanish into the horizon as you lose the race because of the penalty levied because of the unavoidable and unintentional collision. An actual damage system and opponents with more brains than a pigeon would be a much better solution to the bumper cars problem, but this is what the geniuses at Polyphony give us instead.

To add insult to injury, the GT crew in recent news have announced that the actual GT5 game may not be out till 2010 and the much hyped DLC upgrade may not be out in summer 08 as originally promised. Lovely! In the meantime, why buy this at all? I would suggest buying Grid instead, which is a fully realized game with functional damage, an actual campaign structure, challenging artificial opponents who also make mistakes and even crash at times, and more than twice as many tracks. Sure there is no trendy BGM, the handling is not as realistic, and there are less cars modeled than GT5P, but damage and human style opponent AI more than make up for those deficiencies.

Rent GT5P if you want to see the pretty graphics, play Grid during the loooong wait for the real GT5 and then see if the end Polyphony product is a worthy enough game to spend 60 clams on. Content and graphics in the GT games are fine, but the series needs to see damage modeling and more challenging competition in the single player game in order to remain a viable contender in the next-gen racing game market.

This game may not be the most realistically accurate shooting game out there, but who cares! Its just a game! I bought this and Call of Duty 4 at the same time and asmuch as I like Call of Duty I would have to say that this game has some advantages. For instance, you can shoose which guns you uses before each level. Also you can customize each one with differnt types of sights, silencers, ect. The over the top violence is graphic as can be since you are able to blow off limbs with just one shot which is then followed by a blood spray that would make George Romero cringe.

All in all, no, it's not the best shooter out there, but it is still fun in it's own way if your in the mood for senseless violence with a lot of blood.

This is a very basic FPS with very long load times and ALOT of unlockable weapons that open as you complete missions. The problem is that while the controls aren't broken they are just so basic as are the environments that you can help but stave off the yawns as you split apart the bodies of your foes with some fairly cool and powerful weapons. SOF Payback is also following on the heels of COD4 which has set a new standard for FPS gaming. The graphics are mediocre the gameplay is nothing more than shooting one villian after another with occasional demoltion missions. Boring generic and too late to the party this game is almost guaranteed to disappoint in practically every facet, my advice is try out every other NEXT GEN FPS before you give this one a shot as I suspect it might be the bottom of the barrel.

I used to own this game on xbox 360 and now I wanted to play it again on ps3. I know it might not be fun game to others but for me I really enjoyed playing this game on my free times.

Ok, so this is not the best fps out there for any system. The graphics could have been better and a lot could have been implemented in the gameplay. But for some reason, I just keep want to keep on playing this game. The weapons are pretty cool, and I like how you fight a "boss" at the end of every stage. The gore is cool, not too realistic, but nice to have.

Some of the problems I encountered were I got shot when I was in cover, and sometimes my gun would just kill an enemy when I clearly was off range. I guess it works in my advantage. Online play is Rainbow Six Black Arrow fun, but you will only find a handful of games to play. Maybe a total of 30 people play in the entire server.

Overall, for me, this game is fun if you are looking to just run and gun. But if you are more of a tactical, graphic seeker, Call of Duty 4 fanatic, then this might not be the game for you.

This game is a complete dissapointment. Sof Payback is a downgrade from Sof Double Helix. The landscape/body modeling, and the variety of weapons are the only positive gains. The story line is uncreative and very generic. Gameplay lasts about 4.5 hours on normal. Activsion was obviously trying to sell the name and hope that us Sof Veterans would blindly go out and buy the game. If you have to play this RENT IT, don't waste your money buying it. Listed below are the negatives that I discovered while playing.

1. No Random Mission Generator

2. Unbalanced enemy AI

3. Faulty Partical Physics "bullets hitting you while your behind solid cover"

4. Very toned down gore. "blood spray and detachable limbs is the full extent"

5. Short ultra linear missions

6. Sniper rifles with no missions that would deem one worthwile

7. Clanky controls

8. Questionable Replay Value
