I purchased these believing these were genuine Pelican brand triggers like the ones I purchased before from a brick and mortar store, but when they arrived they definitely weren't exactly the same. First of all, they came in these cheap little poly bags typically used by those cell phone accessory vendors in the malls at those kiosks and not in the retail packaging shown. Second, I purchased 2 sets of these from this seller and only one set actually stays on tight enough to be used in game play. The other set falls off at the slightest touch. Third, when I compared this new set to the ones I bought from the store I could tell right away they were of much lower quality. The numbers weren't the same size and the plastic even looked cheaper as the real Pelican brand ones actually have a number imprinted on the backs of the triggers themselves. I gave them 3 stars because at least one set worked. For the price, my original set was actually just as inexpensive as these. I wish I could still find the original Pelicans in stores, but I've looked and they're nowhere to be found except a few other brands. Of course I had to purchase a set from the store and threw away the defective ones. For the price I paid it wasn't worth the hassle of returning to the seller for a refund.

These plastic snap on trigger covers have held up well. They install with just one click and stay in place. It makes it a little easier to pull the trigger as they stick out away from the controller just a bit. Not 100% necessary, but nice non the less.

This product is not the one pictured at all. It's a cheap knock-off that doesn't fit properly and breaks easily. The triggers look nothing like the ones pictured.

They also come with some cheap stick covers (also not pictured, since it's obviously not the same product as in the picture).

These are garbage, they are not what I ordered and I urge you to look elsewhere if you want trigger covers. Don't get ripped off like I did.

The triggers were not as pictured but were instead off-brand knock offs that did not fit onto the controller properly. They shipped in a little plastic baggy. I only received the actual triggers after sending the seller a message calling them out on the fraudulent sale, whereupon they sent me the actual items. These are made to look like the pelican trigger extenders but fail to function PERIOD.

i have cod black ops 2 and my hand use to slip off L2 R2 button when i shoot because they're small so i put this on right away you can feel the difference. before the triggers i use to get like 20-30 kills now i can get 50-80 because they fill good. get this and the thumb grips and if ur good at cod i promise you you will get your ps3. i recommend this to people who fingers slip. the controller trigger are just like the 360 triggers with the dual triggers, if u order them i hope you have a great time review 10/10*

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

This game is not part of the Dead Rising 2 canon, as it is a "what if" scenario, but Capcom did a good job of improving things like load times, and the zombies are more aggressive. Cut scenes and plot are different because Frank West's presence changes the situation.The game may come off like a cash grab to some folks, but it is not really by comparison to say, Super Street Fighter IV and games like that, which only add a minute amount of added content.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record gives you a new main character, new plot, new aggression level for zombies, new Psychos (boss fights) new missions, new items, new weapons, new combo weapons, the new amusement park area Uranus Zone, new outfits and of course Frank West's camera is fully functional to take pictures of the carnage (he IS a photojournalist, after all). Also, weapons and items are scattered in different places, so expect to have to search for your favorite weapons because they're probably not where you remember them from back in Dead Rising 2.

It also includes a Sandbox mode that people have been waiting for, where you can freely run around killing zombies without thinking about the timer like in the main game, and can also complete missions for cash and PP (Prestige Points Dead Rising's experience point system).

Unfortunately they have removed the Terror Is Reality online multiplayer mode, and they did not bring back Survival Mode from the original Dead Rising, but Online Co-Op for the main game is still in tact, and for those who are fans of Chuck Greene, they will appreciate playing as Chuck when they are player 2.

The game is overall an improvement over Dead Rising 2, but still shares many of it's flaws. If you liked Dead Rising (Xbox 360 exclusive) or Dead Rising 2, then you'll like Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It's a lot better than what they could have done: a "Director's Cut" with one or two improvements. If you like Frank West or enjoyed your time in Fortune City with Chuck, you'll be pleased with your return to Fortune City with Frank West. He's covered wars you know.

Frank West is back, and boy has he let himself go. But in spite of this, he travels to Fortune City to rekindle his fame and finds himself in the middle of yet another zombie outbreak.

I was afraid to buy this game because reviews led me to believe that it was just a rehash of the first game, but I was pleasantly surprised. The new game play and different story line were engaging enough to keep me going, and the new sandbox mode is too much fun. Frank West brings new personality to the game, including some hilarious comments when picking up survivors and entering areas.

Pros:

SANDBOX MODE. I found myself playing it more often than I played the regular story line. Frank West can either mess around in Fortune City or play challenges to earn money. Smashing up casinos with no time limits to worry about is oddly stress-relieving.

-CHECKPOINTS. Any time you enter a new area, the game creates a checkpoint that you can load from if you die. Saved my rear a number of times. Why didn't you think of this before, Capcom?

Dialogue changed to better reflect Frank's personality. Most of the dialogue is new. Removal/re-imagining of certain cheesy puns (sorry Chuck).

New twist ending and slightly altered story line

Tons of new items, new outfits, and a good handful of new combo weapons.

Uranus Zone: New interactive area

Tons of new interactions. New ways to earn PP by interacting with the environment.

Better co-op, no more creepy Chuck clones.

More challenging game play. Zombies are meaner, SOME of the psychopaths have new and more challenging moves, and survivors are harder to rescue. Looters are meaner. Zombrex is harder to find.

SOME new psychopaths and survivors

Frank West's camera! Having the camera for this particular story line is surprisingly entertaining.

Cons:

Story line is still a little TOO familiar. They could have put a little more creativity into the main story line or added different survivors or more psychopaths, especially for the price they're charging.

You can pass three other video games in the time it takes this one to move past a loading screen or save screen.

Game play was a little glitchy? I had dialogue boxes staying stuck to the screen and one particularly annoying glitch where Frank walked around like he had anvils attached to his shoes. Could just be my system, I guess.

I found this game worth the investment. If you played through the first DR2 and found yourself asking "Yes, but what would Frank West do?" this is definitely the game for you. If you don't have Dead Rising 2 yet, maybe you should buy this game instead. If you've played through this and think it was nothing but a rehash, well, I don't know what you were expecting. This game was branded as a re-imagining of the Fortune City controversy with Frank instead of Chuck. How different did you expect it to be?

PLOT:

It's been 5 years since the Willamette disaster, and in this game, we play Frank West, a photojournalist who's covered wars. He's had his 15 minutes of fame, and now he's slumming around the game show Terror Is Reality to pay the bills. A zombie outbreak occurs, and Frank needs to keep himself alive for 3 days until the military arrives to clean up the mess.

In a nutshell, The game starts as Dead Rising 2 did, but the story is told with Frank West in the spotlight.

GAMEPLAY:

From the beginning, Frank starts off with his hands and feet as his weapons. As you wander around the mall, you can use pretty much anything as a weapon, whether it's a can of whipped cream, a bottle of whiskey, or a pitchfork. Zombies are EVERYWHERE, and when 7pm rolls around, those zombies take an extra dose of the crazy and get super-violent.

Killing zombies earns character Prestige Points, which in turn levels up inventory slots, strength, hit points, offensive and defensive capabilities. Frank West is also able to earn PP by taking pictures of people in various poses such as brutality, horror, outtake, drama, erotica and more.

Frank has a series of case files to complete over the course of 3 days and during this time he can choose to try and save random survivors throughout the city, attempt to defeat psychopaths who have lost their minds due to the zombie outbreak, and try to find the life-giving Zombrex medicine that he needs every day to survive. Or, he can choose to do nothing more than wander around trying on clothes, eating various foods, or gambling in the casinos.

There are additional weapons to create that weren't in Dead Rising 2, and the Uranus Zone is a new kids-theme park area which allows the use of carnival rides to kill zombies.

IS IT BETTER THAN DEAD RISING 2 WITH CHUCK GREENE?

Well, I liked the alternate Frank West storyline. I assumed I knew everything that would happen and where to find everything, but the game developers counted on this and made several changes to the plot and item locations which made it harder for folks who played through Dead Rising 2 several times (like me).

I love the return of Frank West's camera, because that's what made Dead Rising so memorable...taking pictures of zombies is a very fun activity, though it's pretty hard to get a picture of a psychopath when they're trying to cleave me from neck to navel.

There are times when this feels like a complete clone of Dead Rising 2, but then I find new enemies, new plot points or new attack moves which remind me that I'm playing a different game.

MULTIPLAYER:

A player can choose to complete the storyline with an online partner. This makes defeating psychopaths a lot easier than standard 1:1 fighting, and some of the trophies can't be unlocked unless you have a co-op partner with you.

The second online gameplay mode is Sandbox mode. This is what I was dreaming about...I can run around and slice up zombies with no time limit, no need to find Zombrex, no missions, just plain old fashioned FUN. There are several challenges to complete for single player mode, such as trying to drink 30 alcoholic drinks within a time limit, and these challenges have increased difficulty if you decide to play with an online partner.

Your character needs $50,000 to complete a game mission? No problem! Just do an online session and save that game file. Then when you go back to story mode, the money's all there.

TROPHIES:

There's a LOT of busy work in getting all the trophies for Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. There are easy ones such as getting 69 zombie kills or making a zombie slip in a puddle of vomit. For the more dedicated players, there are some time consuming trophies such as finding all the combo cards, photographing all the PP stickers, or abstaining from consuming meat, dairy or alcohol until the military arrives.

Some trophies are missable during playthroughs unless you use a strategy guide.

CONS:

I've said it before, I'll say it again..these load times are RIDICULOUS. Going through a door or moving from one part of the mall to another can take up to 20 seconds with each load. When you fight a psychopath, there's a cutscene...then a loading screen...then you fight...then there's a closing cutscene...and yet ANOTHER loading screen. These load times kill the pacing of the game.

I must admit, I miss "Terror Is Reality". It was fun to run around and put blenders on zombie's heads, tear through a crowd of zombies with a slicicle, or use a zamboni to grind them up on the ice rink. However, Sandbox mode was a fair tradeoff because in the end, it's all about killing as many zombies as possible in the most satisfying ways.

Finally, the save slots. One of the things that made the first Dead Rising so hard and so challenging was having only one save slot. This left no margin of error and would require another run-through if something was missed. The survivors in Dead Rising 1 had a nasty habit of walking into packs of zombies, making trips back to the safehouse very difficult as the game progressed.

In this game, the characters are much better at avoiding zombies and can even use weapons, if they accept them from you. With 3 save slots and the improved AI, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is more forgiving...but some folks do miss that challenge.

FINAL VERDICT:

On the whole, I really enjoyed Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. This gets 4 stars from me because I'm SO masochistic.

My main goals are hacking up zombies like I've got a hunting license, collecting difficult trophies and playing some short, goofy and blood-soaked online gaming sessions. If you like the same things, then I think you'll get a kick out of this game.

Now if you get frustrated with weapons that break (and all of them eventually do), long load times and time-limit missions, you might want to give this game a pass. I'd recommend at least a rental...Once you combine a 2x4 with a lawnmower and see the damage you can wreak, you might like this game enough to buy it.

This game is a lot of fun the first couple of times you play it it gets a bit repetitive on subsequent plays but since the game cost less than 20 bucks it was a good value. I had owned Dead Rising 2 with Chuck Green in the key role prior to purchasing this version of Dead Rising 2. I like Frank West in the key role better than Chuck. With Frank you can take pictures for Power Points (like in Dead Rising 1) and you get a few different psychos than when playing as Chuck. Also there is a new area to explore in this game.

I bought this game after not playing any other Dead Rising video game and it's a lot of fun. BUT there are many things that bother me like no autosave feature, inconsistent hit detection, the most bothersome of all, time limits to help survivors. Those time limits made saving AND walking them to the safe house feel like a huge chore. I found it quite annoying to be hounded by your partner telling you who needs help and where, piling up missions which are TIMED. Because of that, Sandbox mode is the most fun you'll have in this game. Boss battles are also ridiculously frustrating, forcing you to result to cheap tactics to win. This is a decent game to pick up for $20 or less, but if you spent more you overpaid.

Wasn't going to leave a review, but seeing as how the first guy to review it doesn't even own one and gave it 1 star for the most retarded reason ever (because people are paying 400 on ebay?), I thought I should give some balance as someone who does actually own one.

I have to sayI was not expecting this stick to be as nice as all the hype built it up to be, but I have to eat my words and admit I was wrong. I got the lucky opportunity to pick one of these up for not much more than retail even though I never pre-ordered it, so I did because I wanted to see what the fuss was about and get a good comparison to the HRAP 3 SA. So far, it's been a great playing experience. It's got some really good weight to it, and obviously the sanwa components are top quality. Feels good on your lap, and very easy to play with in general. I'm not a huge fan of the start/select buttons all the way on the back of the stick...maybe on the right side would have been more convenient IMO, but that's the only complaint I can come up with...

I originally said that I didn't think this stick would be better than the HRAP3 SA, and I still stand by that though. I don't think it's better, BUT I don't think it's worse either. Both sticks have a solid arcade feel to them, and both use genuine sanwa parts. The color scheme of this one is growing on me more, but I might end up doing some kind of art mod later...

AnywayI'm eating my words, Mad Catz actually made a good controller for once, haha. The fact that Mad Catz made something on par with what I consider the best arcade stick hori has to offer is absolutely crazy to me, but it seems to be true. Don't know how this stick came out so well and the SE version is so full of issues....

This fightstick is amazing, but certainly not worth anything over the original price. It's made with quality japanese parts, making it far superior to the Standard Edition stick.

Mad Catz promised to make more of these fightsticks and they also stated that their goal is for everyone who wants one to have one. Don't be dumb, and don't get ripped off. Be patient, these sticks are not limited edition. More are coming in stock as time goes by.

This is my first fighting stick, and so far I haven't had any problems whatsoever. The fight stick should be used for fighting games, such as, MK vs DC Universe, Soul Calibur 4, and of course with any Street Fighter game. I feel relieved that I don't have to use PS3 controllers anymore, because it's easier to do combos and my thumb doesn't hurt anymore.

FYI, when you insert the Street Fighter 4 disc into your PS3 make sure you go to -> "Options" -> "System Settings" -> "Install. This will improve load times and online play.

I was fortunate to get this FightStick at retail price($149), because I pre-order this product in early December. However, it's unfortunate when third party sellers are trying to sell the Street Fighter IV tournament FightStick at triple or quadruple from the original price. If MadCatz decide not to make anymore I recommend to look elsewhere. For example, I believe Hori came out with the Playstation 3 Real Arcade Pro. 3 Fighting Stick, or a company called, Arcade-in-a-box. I heard both of these company's fight sticks are well made--do a Google search.

Having said that, this is a top quality stick and you won't be disappointed.

I'm not going to try to "reinvent the wheel" per say, but rather reinforce the positive reviews already out there. If you haven't already read IGN's review (note: it's for the 360, but the product is 99% similar so you'll get the idea) there is plenty of reading material out there. All you have to do is search for "Tournament Fightstick Review."

Anyways I just had the chance to sit down and finally see what all the hype was all about for this joystick. Please keep in mind this is my first joystick so while I may not have the experience of others in knowing what's good or bad I have the common sense to tell what's quality and what's not. Here's what you need to know: the buttons and stick ooze quality. They feel and sound great. This is arcade perfect of the Viewlix cabinet so quality parts are a given. Since it has Sanwa parts you don't have to worry about modification. The plastic shell case doesn't have a real high end feel to it, but does the job just fine. My biggest gripe in terms of quality has to do with USB cable storage door. Granted I only opened the door 2 times but I was nervous both times to not break anything off. I would advise owners to handle the storage door with care.

For PSX/PS2/PC compatibility I haven't tried it with PSX/PS2 games so I can't say, though I think I remember people saying it doesn't work with PS2 games. PSX might be okay, but don't quote me on that. As for PC I plugged it in (Vista 64-bit on an Intel-based system) and after a short driver installation period I was good to go. This is great for MAME or Mugen or whatever else fits in those gaming categories.

If you're looking for a quality joystick and if you can get your hands on one I recommend you get one of these.

Update June 11, 2009:

I've used this joystick for 2 weeks now and I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoy playing games with it. There is an intial learning curve for people who have strictly used console controllers all their lives, but it is most certainly worth it.

A little warning about this joystick: expect scratches on the clear plastic that sits on the art! From one angle the joystick looks clean, glossy, and smooth. From another angle you can spot hundreds of micro-scratches running across the face. Also I have found the black ring at the base of the stick rubs against the clear plastic the wrong way and will leave a circle of scratches surrounding it. All these cosmetic issues do not affect gameplay in any way. If you want you can always apply something smooth underneath the black ring to prevent this from happening before you start using the stick. Avoid using rubber or anything that would restrict the stick from moving freely.

I'm still not a big fan of the cable storage door, but I have gotten used to opening and closing it so hopefully it doesn't snap on me right after my 90-day warranty is up.

Update August 14, 2009:

I decided to void the warranty a little more than a week away from its expiration for the sake of testing how easy it would be to install new buttons and a new ball top especially since I just got them from Japan (yes I'm bragging a little). Some of the quick disconnects can be difficult to remove with your fingers so I recommend you use a flathead to loosen the connector at the base and gently tug on the metal portion to remove it or use pliers, again on the metal portion. DO NOT pull on the wires! I ended up replacing the white buttons and white ball top with red counterparts (same Sanwa models: OSBF buttons and LB-35 ball top) and replaced the two black buttons with white ones All in all it was purely for aesthetics. Hopefully I'll get around to posting a picture. I did happen to buy another JLF joystick, but it's only for backup.

Modification isn't bad at all, but as I said before it's not necessary since you have top quality parts. If you are looking to modify your fightstick make sure you do some searches on guides in case you've never done this type of thing before.

With Amazon's new $130 price tag I don't see how you can turn this down.

Max Payne 3

I must say I am impressed and a little surprised with what they have done with Max Payne. I have been building this game up in my head for the past few years since I first caught wind of it and I must say it has met and beat my expectations. The game is very well put together. There is intense action, a lot of violence, and a carefully woven story that is peppered with flashbacks and poetic cut scenes. The single player campaign is roughly 10 hours long and the trophies are split up between single player and multiplayer, though there are a few more single player trophies. Fans of the original games will enjoy this very much. I have a feeling that newcomers may gravitate more toward the multiplayer side of the game, while us old timers play Max Payne for the gripping story and the depressed main characters drunken inner monologue.

The full installation size is 5.5 gigs, there was a 25mb update on release day and a 59mb update on 5-21-12 which may have corrected some of the below issues gamers have been having. You DO NOT need to be connected to the internet for Max Payne 3 to save your game, as others have claimed you do. I unhooked my network and played for an hour, quit, restarted and it went right to where I left off. You also will earn trophies, but you need the internet to sync them to the PSN. Some players have noted that there are audio interruptions throughout the game, I have noticed this as well, however they are very minimal and random throughout the game which does not hinder the game playing experience. My only issue was that the voice did not match the characters lips moving in a short cut scene, again, a very mild issue which may have been corrected with the most recent update as I have not had any issues since.

Pros

+ Beautiful natural feeling graphics. Fairly well detailed and smooth running. It has a unique style that is very entertaining.

+ There is a very nicely woven storyline that really holds your interest throughout.

+ The A.I. is very good in my opinion giving us smart challenging enemies.

+ Music is classic Max Payne, but with a modern twist. Sound is very clear and strong. Voice acting is top notch and funny at times.

+ Bullet time is very well crafted. 360 shooting while on the ground is a nice touch. Shooting from cover is also well achieved.

+ Multiplayer does grow on you after more plays. It is fast, simple and smooth.

Cons

Multiplayer is not as great as I was hoping. It is a bit clunky and only mildly entertaining. Bullet time is fun, however easily becomes a mess with many players. I would not recommend this game simply for multiplayer.

Control in single player and multiplayer takes a little while to get used to. It is good, however it needs to grow on you. Sort of reminds me of the Alan Wake controls and the aiming system reminds me of Red Dead Redemption.

I found that the game does get slightly repetitive after a while, however with the regular scenery change and story jumping it is very minimal.

Bullet time can sometimes actually hinder your game play. If an enemy shoots you and you are near death, you are forced into a locked bullet time, which is cool, but if you need to reload or an object is in your way you will die and you have no control. Very frustrating.

There a few weird clipping issues. Sometimes when you shoot an enemy they will just stand there frozen, and eventually fall.

One little pet peeve of mine in games is when they take the control away from the player, well due to all the loading cut scenes they do take the control away quite often and have varying length cut scenes. It does get annoying after a while and for the most part you cannot skip the cut scenes as it is loading the next section. However I rather sit through a cut scene than a empty loading screen.

As a huge Max Payne series fan, I was a little insulted by them adding multiplayer, though it is mildly fun and entertaining and like any multiplayer game it greatly depends on who you are playing with. Other reviews are saying this third installment in the Max Payne series has drifted from its roots. I agree and disagree. It has been almost 10 years since Max Payne 2 came out and the game needed a facelift. It is still Max Payne, however they have gone above and beyond to make this a new gaming experience yet still hold on to the classic aspects we look for. Max is old, I felt as bad for him as I did for Bruce Willis in Die Hard 4. He still has it though! Max's sad poetic dialogue, painkillers, and bullet time are all here. The game is very violent and intense, mostly seen in bullet time slow-mo kills showing the bullets flying through your enemies like a grapefruit.

The game is very smooth and stable and I have had no issues with glitching or lagging. At one point a multiplayer game did freeze up (the game, not the system) on me and it restarted within 30 seconds and took me back to the multiplayer menu.

Over-all I am very happy with Max Payne 3. It has lived up to my expectations and the hype. However keep in mind it is a single player game, with a less than perfect multiplayer game latched onto the single player for survival. The style is great; it is like a Heavy Rain and L.A. Noire and a Tony Scott (especially Man on Fire) film all in one. It is highly entertaining and the dialogue is fun and holds your interest throughout the game play. The loading times are hidden in the cut scenes, so there are many long cut scenes and they do seem to interrupt often, so if you are looking for a shoot um' up style game you'll get it with MP3, however you'll have to sit through the cut scenes first.

Dark, gritty, and incredibly violent, "Max Payne 3" was clearly inspired by the works of the late, great Tony Scott. Spoken words of dialogue sporadically popping up on the screen as white text... color distortions and filters... multiple frames split with bold lines... a muted color palette... all of these elements of style summoned Scott's films to mind, while playing MP3. More than anything else, however, it was the gritty storytelling and the darkness of character that reminded me of Scott. The first thing that popped into my mind when I began playing MP3 was "Man on Fire", the great Denzel Washington revenge movie. And at its core, that's exactly what MP3 is: an interactive revenge movie.

I can't think of another game I've played that's as atmospheric as MP3. You can feel the suffering of this man, and all his many follies. The other characters are also richly drawn, and the settings of Brazil (both the impoverished areas and the wealthy ones) are created effectively and convincingly. The various chapters are oftentimes brilliant, with some of the standouts being an enormous soccer stadium, a river traversed by speedboat, and a siege upon a luxury yacht in the Panama Canal. The story, voice acting, and cut scenes are all surprisingly good, and they paint a story that at first seems generic, but slowly becomes a riveting force that propels you forward through the campaign, eager to see the next chapter.

I feel like Rockstar Studios would have been better served by creating a new IP for this game, because it's so much more advanced and sophisticated than the other two titles in the series... but that's far more of a compliment than a complaint.

I took off one star for some issues: Foremost, the violence. I understand this is a violent story, and a mature title designed for adults, just like an R rated film. But some of the violence is simply gratuitous, particularly the slow motion, close up kills that signify the clearing of enemies in a roomand to make matters worse, this is hardly a new "trick". "Stranglehold" was doing this way back in 2006.

Second, the mechanics are a tad dated, and not quite as smooth as the best of the competition. Rockstar insists on mapping their aim and trigger inputs to the bumper buttons for some reason (just like in "Red Dead Redemption"), as opposed to the trigger buttons. This is fundamentally inconvenient for a couple of reasons... it defies the industry standards, and makes it difficult for gamers who are hardwired for conventional controls (alternate button mapping is possible, but you can't use the triggers for triggers, no matter what you choose). There is a very good reason why the trigger buttons on your controller are called trigger buttons... it's because they replicate triggers!

The slow motion trick (otherwise known as "bullet time") has not aged particularly well. The combat of this game is at its best when it relies upon the stop and pop, cover based shooting. Diving around in slow motion feels forced, and is not very fun. I only used slow motion when I was absolutely forced to, because there was no cover around.

These shortcomings, however, cannot undo what is a fantastic game, a credit to Rockstar Studios, and a fitting homage to Tony Scott.

The terrible pun best describes my experience with this game. Really it's a good game (for $20 anyway) but boy does it annoy at times. The story is lengthy and engaging and the acting fantastic, but the main character's bout of depression and self destruction got tiresome. Gameplay is fun but glitchy. As many here have mentioned, you do occasionally get stuck while in cover, forcing a checkpoint reload. Another gripe of mine lies with the game being cinematic to a fault. Whether it be a lengthy monologue while strolling sloooowly towards your destination or a particularly long cutscene (of which there are many), the game is determined to ensure you experience every agonizing second of it, New Game + or not.

The biggest payne though is the difficulty which tends to skyrocket at various moments, leading to retries after retries after retries. I'm not opposed to a game using health items instead of a recharging bar, in fact I prefer that to the tiresome blood-splatter-color-fading screens that accompany rechargeable health. But it takes so little to put Max down that you'll be spending most of your shootouts on the ground writhing in payne than on your feet.

Despite these problems the game is fun, especially considering that it includes cheats which gives it high replay in my book. If you want a good 3rd person shooter and can find this for under $30, you won't be disappointed.

If you're big on 3rd person shooters, this game is for you. I prefer some stealth in my games, there is none in this. The story left a little bit to be desired as well. The graphic and action were great. Easy controls.

The developers should have asked these questions and then should have picked one approach. Instead now you have a game where you play a shootout for 2-3 mins and then put the controller aside and watch a cut scene for 5-10 mins.

The game looks gorgeous. The cut scenes are not too bad actually. I am just extremely offended by the fact that the developers decided not to let the players have a choice in skipping a cut scene (interestingly you can skip these in Arcade mode but not in Story mode) . I wonder is they sat through each cut scene every time they tested a level. There are just far too many cut scenes. Even the simple act of open a door is a cut scene. And each cut scene changes the weapon selection to default. So... 2-3 min of game play, 5-10 mins of cut scene, change weapon selection... repeat. And if this review is starting to get repetitive, that pretty much what the game experience is like.

The "interactive" part of the game is nice, while it lasts, which is about 40% of the game. Hence my score...40%

It works as advertised. But it's also about the most cheaply built piece of PAINTED plastic I've ever seen. Mine had dust and a HAIR painted in to the finish. The slide works, the LEDs look ok. It does NOT look like the picture, the finish is not glossy, more of an orange peel. Has to have line-of-sight with IR base. Sony's Bluetooth remote works much better, has tons more functions, and costs $10 less. This one is a waste due to extremely poor quality construction and a sub-par feature set.

I bought this remote in the hopes that the sleek, modern design would make this a welcome addition to my PS3. It turned out to be a complete waste of money. This product is cheaply made out of flimsy plastic. I could actually feel the plastic warp as I slid the top down to access the other buttons. The charging stand was also a complete disappointment. my remote would never actually make a connection to the charging stand unless you held the remote down firmly with you hand. This was due to the fact that the stand was made just as flimsily and cheaply as the remote itself. Along with a price that is more than the standard Sony remote, I would tell you that you are better off using your PS3 remote than this product.

This remote does its job and has the potential of being great, however, it feels very cheaply made and the slide down feature on it is loud and not smooth at all. It actually snaps when you slide it down. Right out of the package i noticed it looks like they used oil to help it slide better but once that wears out then what? Do i have to re-oil it myself? And oil on a remote seemed rather odd to me. I also dont like the fact that you have to keep the base connected to one of the usb ports on ur PS3. It reads it as a controller. So lets say you want to keep it connected at all times and still pop in your fav game to play? When you boot up your actual gaming controller, it will come up as (2nd player) instead of 1st, so you have to disconnect the base of this remote in order to play games and use your controller. A definite inconvenience and hassle in my opinion.

I dont mind that it was made using cheap plastic and that it feels hollow when you're using it but had this manufacturer used bluetooth technology, it would have made a world of difference. You have to aim the remote at the base for it to work.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**

This remote does NOT work well with all Blu-ray movies. You cannot get the menus to pop up on some and are only able to use the play/stop/fwd feature.

This product is a nice idea and it works pretty good. Unfortunately the finish quality is not as good as the online images imply. One would think of a nice high gloss black piano finish as we know it from the PS3 or the Apple Ipods to match the Playstation. In fact the remote is simply painted in high gloss black with an orange peel to it, which makes it look cheap. The remote has a nice weight to it and the functionality is very good. The charger is a little hard to use sometimes, as the remote doesn't always sit right on the contacts. It needs to be mentioned that unlike the actual PS3 controllers this remote is IR(Infra-Red) based, not bluetooth connect, and therefore needs to be pointed at the charging base which doubles as the IR receiver unit and connects via a USB cable to the PS3 to charge the nested remote and control the PS3.

The chair is comfortable and easily put together. It is very sturdy and has some weight to it not real leather, but very nice substitute. The base/legs are chrome and look like the spokes of a wheel cool. The chair has a recline function and the arms can be lowered or removed if necessary. I've used it briefly for a driving sim and it is a big improvement over my $40 office depot special. I got this chair for $363, which is far less than the same chair in black (a little under $500). I guess the white chair didn't sell as well it looks good anyway.

I'm a tall guy (6 feet) and I really enjoy the feeling of placing my head against the headrest. I couldn't find any chair that would allow that, except this one. That, along with the bucket seat design, make this chair quite comfortable for office work.

It's not for relaxing, though. Don't get this chair if you want to be able to sleep on it. It's comfortable, but just enough to keep me focused on my work.

Also, finding a white office chair is extremely difficult. I wanted a chair that would match the theme of my office (black & white), and this chair worked perfectly. The only complaints I have are that the black leather accents in the picture are actually white (the headrest/shoulders). I wish they were black, then it would look sharper.

At first, I was in love with this chair. The headrest featured a very cool looking triangular cutout, and the white finish made it very unique. It's very sturdy, and you can tell it is well made and put together. The only problem is that it is a bit too firm. I thought it would 'ease up' a bit as I continued using it, but the foaming has retained its original firmness for over 6 months now. If it were a tad softer, it would be perfect.

I bought this to be a place to mount my G27, but was disappointed to find that it come with NO mounting plates for game controllers. Apparently they sell an additional piece on the website, but that looks unsuitable for a steering wheel mount, maybe it was intended for a flight sim.

The chair itself is nice. I really like the white color. It feels a bit firm, but not uncomfortable. It went together fairly easily, but I don't like the way the padding is installed. It just sticks on with velcro strips, and I had to significantly bend the corners of the bottom piece to get them where they belong, and the piece along the back looks like it is about to fall off.

I don't think this could ever be a 5 star product, its just not THAT good, but it could easily be a 4 1/2 star product. I took off 1/2 a star for the way the padding is installed, and I took off 1 1/2 stars for the lack of included hardware for mounting a steering wheel. i think this could have easily been reduced to a 1/2 star deduction if it was clearly stated in the product description, and I wasn't left inferring incorrect details about the product from a single picture and a poor description. that leaves it with a 2 1/1 star rating from me, and I thought it was more deserving of 2 stars than 3 stars.

The Last Of Us stands out the most of any game I've played of stroyline, its just that great, it can make you jump if you don't pay attention to you're allies, be stealthy like a ninja harm the ai humans or zombies, and a great cinematic trailer with great music at certain points not like metal gear solid series where you get 1 every 5 minutes. the multiplayer you can't be Rambo and take out everyone by yourself right off the starting point. you need to collect items to create gear that can give you and advantage in the battle with you're team or if you're set and all alone set up traps for them to come to you and take out whats remaining of the other team. overall the game is truly deserving of at 10/10 and I dont see any other games locked in for game of the year then this one itself. Only thing im gonna complain is the price is way off at $399 I'd take my money to a local gamestore or best buy where you can go get it for $150, if they still got the copies, since they've been selling like funnel cakes at a festival.

When I got the game I though "it would be great a Joel and Ellie statue" so I found this on internet, I did not have a friend in USA for buy it and send it, and hopefully no one helped me with that: the box is huge!!! (I can't imagine my friend's complaints about it :S)

I opened it and found the great surprise of a fully detailed statue, excellent quality on paint, size, weight and materials

The steelbook is the same as the Survival Edition I preordered, also the comic book

The only complaint is that it would be great to get a different steelbook

At this moment the prices are sick, specially on ebay but if you want to get an excellent collectible piece, very rare and limited, this is your option, I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do

I don't own this Edition of this game but I do own the statue and the game, got them separate of course my review on both game and the statue now I have a literally have a whole library of games but none of the games comes close to this one cause how good it is so I've heard a lot of great things about this game also what's really impressive is that this game won over 50 awards so I knew I had to get the PS3 just to order to see it in person, all of I got to say the intro of the game will bring tears to your eyes I have never played any game that MADE ME CRY ! and for me that's telling me that this game is masterpiece no other game did that to me ever this game is just phenomenal ! I will tell you the main plot of the story its basically about a 14yr old girl named Ellie who is born into this new world without any technology or even the society that you and me knew all she knows on how to survive and see tomorrow any who she is helped by a man name Joel a hardcore survivor to reach this group/team called the fire flies so through a fight of survival you will experience bandits, military, and the infected but please don't sit there and say oh this is just another zombie game I for one wouldn't call any of these infected zombies cause there not if you were put these guys up beside to Resident Evil or The Walking Dead zombies then you will be like oh that's not zombie so you ask yourself what the hell is it well my friend human being's are getting over run by a fungus that's called Ophiocordyceps Unitateralis the exact same fungus that mind control's ants and now it evolved to become more dangerous and rapidly spreading to humans, now there are three Infected types Runners, Bloaters and Clickers personally my favorite one is the clicker which are blinded infected humans who use clicking to find you similar to bats so every time you hear an eerie clicking sound be on your toes and observe your surroundings cause if your not to careful you will die no pimp slap to the face its the real deal once your in the grasp of the clicker game over and you will restart to your last checkpoint. Also this game gives you some the most awesome weapons like a led pip, Molotov, plank, bricks, guns to this really badass home made bomb where you can use scissors blades and nails put it into a jar mix some gun powder and watch some gruesome side effects to your enemies. Alright so you got a brief sense of the game so lets talk about Ellie and Joel 12inch statue also by the way I love collecting figures so indeed I had to get my hands on the statue man oh man its worth every penny for sure if you love collecting and displaying to friends or whom ever comes to your house so what comes with the figure well it comes in a huge black grey box with a fantastic art of main characters and of course the title of the game, so once you open the box you see a back drop of a city being over taken by nature and a really awesome sun set giving this really nice orange glow, so now the statue Joel is very nice he has all of the dirty look from dirt to Ellie's cheerful grin looking up to Joel with a Deer Rifle in her right hand sitting on a turned over newspaper stand with a couple of shotgun shells resting on the cold surface, each figure carefully done with some nice tints and that gritty dirty look making you feel like that they have been through alot and also this game will just want you want more aswell as honoring it with this phenomenal statue I will highly advise you to try this game out for sure cause this game is definitely worth your time.

The game itself is kind of fun and even Zelda-like to some extent. Some great voice acting and iconic LOTR locations are sure to please most LOTR fans.

Now, the bad stuff. This game started as a Wii game and it was ported to PS3. The game is low-poly (blocky graphics), there is some screen tearing and the worst part is the way it implements PS Move. Unlike other Move games, you don't calibrate your Move controller when you start playing.. why? Because it doesn't use Move's tracking capabilities, instead it just uses the accelerometers the same way the Wii controller does. When you swing your Move controller, after a brief and noticeable delay, the character onscreen does a pre-canned sword swing. There is no 1:1 tracking and that is the biggest let-down. I'd almost say, if you really want this game, get the Wii version as it is $10 cheaper.

Being a huge LOTR fan I played this over the weekend for the PS3 and have been totally addicted to it. Is it perfect? Not even close! For starters it makes a pretty bad first impression, the opening prologue/prelude battle really sucks, all you do is run around and swing your sword, you don't have all of the other abillities or weapons that you will pick up over the course of the game or at least if you do have them you don't know how to use them yet, the hit detection also seems off during this battle. The whole time I was thinking to myself I am really glad I only rented this. I'm playing the game with the dual shock not move and the controll set up is a little overly complicated and not ideal so it took me a little time to get use to them, there are also some sound issues at times with your footsteps sounding weird and I have noticed some screen tearing however despite all of this I pushed through the opening battle and I am glad I did because I have been having a blast with it ever since.

So what am I loving so much about it? For starters it is the kind of LOTR game i've always wanted, the 2 LOTR games back on the PS2 were cool but they pretty much just dropped you right into the midst of one of the huge battles, you hacked and slashed your way through it and then you were done but that is not the case with Aragorns Quest, several of the satges I have played through so far have been very large open areas that you can explore and not only do the main quest but also take on tons of side quests if you like. There are tons of artifacts and tokens scattered around the world to find that make you stronger as well as lore items that tell you more about the history of middle earth, these have been really cool as I have actually learned some things that I didn't know.

A lot has been made about this being a kids game, well if it is such a kids game why did it get a T for teen rating? You are still hacking tons of orcs/goblins and Uruks to death, however there is no blood or dismemberment, the game is quite easy and some of the more traumatic events like Boromir's death are no where to be found, one moment Boromir is traveling with you and the next he is gone but I think things like the Nazgul could still frighten younger children. Some people have complained about the cartoonish look of the graphics but I really like them, they kind of remind me of Fable or Overlords graphics. The hit detection problems that I mention in the opening battle are no where to be found during the rest of the game, you gain several other weapons and lots of upgrades and new moves over the course of the game so you don't have to simply button mash your way through the entire game if you don't want to.

Lastly I am really liking the story, its been 15 years since Sauron was defeated and so the whole game is Sam telling his children Aragorn's story because Aragorn is coming to the Shire for a visit and they are planning a huge party for him. In between Aragorn's story you can run around the Shire playing as Sam's son Frodo and do many side quests as well. The game features the wonderful music score from the film and Sean Astin voices Sam which is great. So despite a few technical issues and some controls that take some getting use to this is the Lord of the Rings game that I have always wanted.

I'm writing this review about the game using Playstation Move. (it can also be played with a standard controller)

The game is actually pretty fun so far. I'm only about 3 hours into it and it seems like one of those games that you get more into as you go. I'm liking it alot so far. For the first 15 mins I was thinking, "omg...this is stupid". But that was just because I thought it was a little kids version of the game because you start off as a little kid running around with a wooden sword and do some tutorials like block flying heads of cabbage with your shield and stuff like that and I was thinking. "this is ridiculous". BUT...I kept playing anyways and it turned into a real game after you start playing as Aragorn (which happens within the first hour).

As for the motion controls, you use the nav stick in one hand, and the move controller in the other. You use the Move as your sword, and walk around with the nav stick. You also use L2 on the nav stick to raise your shield as well as evade attacks. You evade by hold your shield up with L2 while holding the stick in the direction you want to evade and then press the Move button and you'll roll/evade in that direction. There are some co-op quests to that a 2nd player can join in on by just turning on another controller when he/she is prompted to do so. I've only come across one of them so far, but there are bound to be more throughout the game though, but not mandatory to complete.

There are different types of sword attacks. Not just side to side swinging. You can swing up for a launching attack, down to knock enemies down, and side to side to hit multiple targets if you're surrounded. There are also some on screen prompts sometimes that point into a direction for you to swing that enables an extra powerfull attack if executed at the right time. Also you can use the nav stick to shield bash enemies and knock them down by clicking the nav stick button inwards. (just like you would on a normal controller). There are other types of fighting and weapons that I haven't used yet, so I can't give any input on those. I know there's at least a bow and arrow...and probably others. You can also swing your sword while exploring to destroy pottery, or barrels scattered throughout the game to find food for health and coins for spending. There are also mini-challenges that are repeatable that can earn you prizes. I haven't done any of those yet because I just wanted to get going.

The graphics are pretty good. Not the best though. I'd give them a 7.5 out of 10 rating.

The story seems awesome so far. It's pretty much the story that you've seen on the LotR movies except you're playing it through the eyes of Aragorn (aka Strider).

Another thing that I like is, it doesn't make you play standing up and it doesn't feel uncomfortable to do so, (like it probably would with some other motion games like table tennis for example). Even though you could stand up if you wanted to. I just pointed the camera downwards towards myself sitting on the couch and it works fine.

I give the controls a 9 out of ten, just because I noticed that there is about a 1/2 second delay inbetween the time you swing your arm and when the character does the motion on the screen. Maybe even a little less than 1/2 a second...but there is definately a very small delay. It doesn't really affect the gameplay though when it comes to a life or death situation. It just takes away from the realism by a very slight amount. Nothing really game hindering though.

All, in all it's seems great so far and the story is easy to fall into which is great. I hate when you have no idea what's going on in a game. That is not the case with this one.

Graphics: Childish, charming, goofy and cartoon-like in a good way! I other words, great graphics. The visuals are truly stunning. Spectacular colours here. I haven't seen such colours since the Nintendo 64-days (that is one of the reasons I always liked N64 better than PS1: The colours. PS1-graphics were always a bit more grey). The Shire looks so beautiful you won't believe it. Reminds me of the "The Fellowship of the Ring"-video game from 2002 (the one that wasn't published by Electronic Arts, and that was not directly based on the movie, but the book instead)

Gameplay: Zelda-style 3D action-adventure game with a great deal of hack and slash.

Audio: Licensed to use the same music as in the movie (luckily), and I don't know if the original movie-cast has done the voice-acting here, but it sure sounds like them. Lots of funny details like Pippin screaming about breakfast all the time and probably also second breakfast.

I'd say this is kind of a better version of the 2003 video game "The Hobbit" with a different story. The game starts off right before the third Lord of the Rings-movie/book ends with Aragorn & co. standing in front of the black gate. The rest of the game is Samwise telling the story to his kids and revisiting the entire trilogy, with the player mostly playing the part of Aragorn. This is definitely one of my favourite Lord of the Rings-games, and thats saying a lot because all of the others have been superb in my opinion.

Now, all we have to do is wait for what could be the best Lord of the Rings-game yet: "The war in the North" coming in 2011.
