I had 3 options to play my Xbox at work...

Option 1: Capture Device/Laptop Screen-

This was desirable to me because it removed the need to buy an additional screen and haul around extra gear. So I looked to things like Easy Cap, Dazzle, and Hauppauge capture devices to play Xbox on my laptop screen. Unfortunately, using a capture card and viewing the game on a laptop screen experiences lag, and in the case of the Easy Cap and Dazzle, a 480p resolution. The clincher for me was the lag.

Option 2: Small 15 Inch HDTV-

This option seemed like the next best choice. I would need to buy a larger bag to take both the laptop, the Xbox, the HDTV and whatnot's to work. This option is definitely viable, but after the price of the bag and television I would end up paying close to what the G155 already costs, albeit less. Additionally, the Xbox wouldn't have felt as safe and setup and takedown of everything would have been more cumbersome.

Option 3: The Gaems G155 Mobile System-

This appeared like the best of the three options for me. In essence it was an HDTV within a container that seemed both organized and sturdy, so I ended up buying the G155.

After purchasing and using the G155 here are a few areas of improvement for the device...

Dead Pixels-

As with many new screens there are a few dead pixels, but generally I don't notice them, although it's not ideal.

Loose Seam-

Sometimes the case comes loose at the middle, near the handle while I carry it. I feel that this would be solved if there was a latch mechanism installed there, like in a briefcase.

Carry Strap-

I wish I had a backpack or messenger bag that was large enough for the G155 unit to fit into. I'd like the actual case to be hidden from view and be more protected from scratches and scuffs. Also, a backpack's or messenger bag's carrying straps would be very nice as opposed to carrying a heavy load with just the current handle. I'm aware that Gaems has stated that you can attach your own strap to it and they might be making one of their own for the unit, however carrying the unit completely immersed in a bag would be ideal for me, although I haven't found a bag large enough for the unit to fit into.

Price-

I bought the G155 off Amazon at $270. If this unit sold for $200 or even $250 it would have been an easier purchase. I understand that they have to consider the bottom line and profits but a $200-250 unit would be more convincing for me as a consumer.

[Those are my only beefs with the G155 as of this writing. Unlike some owners, mine will be used extensively in the future, so we'll see how well it holds up for me over time. Hopefully it won't break down easily with a lot of use.]

Now on to the things I love about the G155...

Xbox Stays Cool-

After hours of continuous gameplay my Xbox does not overheat at all within the G155.

Protective-

My Xbox feels much safer in the hard plastic case compared to carrying it around in a normal bag.

Compact/Organized-

All of my cords, controllers, and pretty much everything I need easily packs into one gaming environment. [Note: I bought a small CD sleeve to carry my game discs within the G155.]

Mobility-

I can leave my Xbox in the case and hook it up to my large TV at home without removing it, then just close it and take it to work when needed.

Screen-

The HD 720p screen is clear and gorgeous to look at and there is no lag whatsoever.

In summary of my 3 mobile console gaming options...

Option 1: Capture Device/Laptop Screen-

I do not recommend this as a sole way to play consoles on the go. The lower resolution and lag times are not cool.

Option 2: Small 15 Inch HDTV-

Having done something similar to this in the past, it is definitely a viable option, based on if you're looking for something less expensive and your personal tastes.

Option 3: The Gaems G155 Mobile System-

This, I believe, is the best all-around option for mobile console gaming, or if you want an extra small television in your home where you can play Xbox or PlayStation. I'm very glad I purchased it and would recommend the Gaems G155.

[Update: I've now used the Gaems G155 for six months, and on a regular basis. It's held up great, and I've had no additional problems with it.]

Our production company often travels for business and PSP, 3DS etc. is fine since hotel TVs tend to be older SD sets so I just got use to having to leave my favorite games like COD and Street fighter IV behind till I got home. We saw this screen running at E3 2011 and it was fantastic! I had mine on pre-order ever since we got back into the office and it just showed up today. Well built, holds my Xbox 360 pefectly, no overheating, it's great! I WAS looking at other HORI screens for around $250 but they just click on top of the system, they don't close up with into a case with a handle. This product is also great for those in the MLG and NEED to make sure they have an HD screen everywhere they go. I'll definately be keeping mine and using it for a long LONG time.... the only draw back is that the LED screen is a bit on the sharp side (hey GAEMS, please add sharpness control!) but it's still the best thing on the market.

I just received my unit yesterday, and I have been playing on it non-stop since it arrived (with a few hours of sleep). The detail/resolution of the screen is great, and there is no lag from the screen when I play online. Even my blue-ray movies on my PS3 look great! Also I have ever so thankful for the Hard plastic case. When I closed it up for the night, my dog knocked it off the small table I had it set on(I was soo mad!). When I opened it up I expected the worst, but absolutely nothing inside was damaged! My PS3 started right back up, and the screen was not cracked, not even a scratch, crack, or dent on the case.

I will definitely be more careful in the future (Bad Dog). Thank you GAEMS for making sure a great product!

Well after watching almost every video review on youtube and reading articles all day i finally decided to make the jump and purchase this bad boy. i love it! this has been one of the best investments i've made in a while. i'm in the military and this is going to make deployments so much more bearable. i know it's pricey, it only displays 720p but in all honesty it's well worth it. if you have the money to burn and are looking for something convenient and something to keep that gamer in your life busy then buy this. my xbox 360 slim fits perfect and i've been playing skyrim on it for about 2 days and the graphics are amazing, great resolution. speakers aren't that great but i've got me some nice audio technicas that work perfectly. i'm sure the price will go down soon but i had to have this, seeing how deployment is coming soon.

This is a nice accessory for a PS3 owner, and if you are going to play something like Final Fantasy 14, it's a must. I used mine heavily in several games, and it works nicely, however it suffers from a major drawback. The keytops are printed, not injection molded or laser etched, so those nice white letters on the black keys soon start to disappear as you use the keyboard. For a $100 keyboard this is an unacceptable failure. sadly the keytops last just long enough to be out of warranty as well...My wife has had the same problem on her keyboard (same model) as well.

I only played Street Fighter 4 a couple of times before I realized that I just plain didn't like it. And that's pretty bad coming from someone who grew up with the series, playing the first incarnation of Street Fighter 2 when it hit arcades in the early 90s. Something seemed off to me, balance was horrible, and the online modes were lackluster. Plus it seemed like there was a lot missing that they could've put in, but didn't just so they could make the release date. Sure enough, Super Street Fighter 4 was announced just a few months later. So I waited, and once I saw gameplay of the new characters and the changes they made to the original cast, I went and pre-ordered it, knowing I wouldn't be disappointed. Obviously, I wasn't, given the title of this review and the ratings, and anyone who was disappointed with the first SF4 should at least give this a rental/borrow.

First things first, the new characters. While I wish they would've added a few more unique characters (like Oro, so then we could have the 4 true masters in one title finally!), the characters they added all rock for the most part, and getting to see Dudley take on Balrog is something that needs to be seen for yourself in order to experience the gentlemanly bad-assedry. Juri's pretty rad too, and once I played as her in the Training mode just to see her moves, I could see why there are so many people playing as her online. The original cast from SF4 got changed here and there, like some attacks having different priority, being slowed down, or not being invincible during an EX move. Sagat and Ryu were notorious for being god-like in the previous version, and here...they're still pretty tough, but not -asimpossible to take down as they were. Trust me when I say that if you play competitively, the tiers list will be quite different from the SF4 tiers. Heck, I think Cody's an automatic upper tier just because his knife attacks do chip damage while being blocked and one of his Ultras can almost always hit you when you're on the ground.

Online modes have been revamped as well, and it's so much better from what it used to be. There's little to no lag most of the time when I'm playing people in the same region, though sometimes there'll be a quick freeze for both players, and then it goes back to normal. Endless Battle is similar to the mode in the Dead or Alive 2 remake for Xbox, where a person hosts a game, then others keep playing them until they're defeated. This can be a true test of skill if you think you're all that. I still wish there was a way to do rematches when a match ends in the Ranked Battle, so I wouldn't have to go right back to the Network menu to pick another match type, but it's not that big of a complaint. I did have some problems with trying to join another person's Ranked Match. Sometimes it would say that there was a problem, and ask if I wanted to try again, only to have another problem. If this happens to you, just host your own game. SSF4 is so hot, there's ALWAYS someone to play against. Heck, look at Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remixthere's ALWAYS someone to play against on there too, and that thing's been out for a while.

There are a few extra features, like titles and icons you can earn through Arcade, Network and Challenge modes, and there's also a completely new set of trophies to earn here. Nope, they didn't just port over the old list from SF4, everything's new and you'll have to earn them again. Costume packs from SF4 transfer over to SSF4, and that 'bonus' that Capcom talked about for people who have their SF4 files still saved...is just an extra color. It's a cool filter [that only works for the original color] that gives you a comic book look, similar to the style in Valkyria Chronicles. Capcom also gave a couple of characters an extra Rival scene in Arcade mode, but unfortunately, Gen and Akuma didn't get one. The opening and ending animated scenes are still horrible, but eh, how often do fighting games get good endings in Arcade mode? I would've liked Capcom to have finally made a Story mode like what Guilty Gear and BlazBlue had. They've been sitting back while the fans figure out what's actually going on with the story for way too long. Even the endings here, which are completely different from those in SF4, don't explain much if they have anything to do with the story, and what they do explain is often left for you to figure out (like Akuma's).

The graphics remain the same from SF4 of course, but the new animations for new Ultras can range from incredible to incredibly goofy (like Akuma's new Tasmanian Devil Ultra). There are a lot of new tracks to listen to, and I'm happy to say all of them are just as memorable as the old themes from the first Street Fighter 2. You gotta love Cody's theme, and especially the new Dudley mix. As with the last game, you can also set the voices to English or Japanese...or mix and match and choose who you want to speak either language. 'very good for those people who whine about 'omg da english subs sux0rz' all the time and think it affects gameplay.

All in all, despite the few problems here, I'm glad I waited for this. Oh heck, I was actually hyped for this game, and I -neverget like that for anything. While I love BlazBlue, Street Fighter tends to be the fighting game series that I always play the most, and with SF4, it looks like it'll be staying that way for a while. Now if Guilty Gear X3 comes out...

I am almost 40 and when I was a kid I remember playing Street Fighter in the arcade and then at home. It has always been a 2D fighter. This latest iteration helps this long in the tooth fighting game revive some of its newness and lost luster. Now you can fight as all of the original fighters plus 10 new ones. I have not played the online multiplayer yet.

Gameplay (+)

This game is a fantastic 2 player game to have at your house when your friends come over. Its so much fun to battle your friends head to head as characters you have played in the past. The mechanics are still the same and you can pull off combos with the right joystick movement/ button combo.

Graphics (+)

The last street fighter I played was probably 4 years ago and at that time they were trying to introduce 3D into it. It was never that convincing because one of the beauties of this game is actually the 2D space. By restricting you to only forward and back you can concentrate on the killer moves needed to take out your opponent. What this version does (and others prior to this might but I never played them), is bring in 3D movements and marry that to the 2D space. Now your fighting moves are very lifelike and yet you are bound to the restrictions that make this game work.

Scenes (+)

The scenes are just great. Each one of the characters has their background that fits their look. Each one is animated with great characters or objects.

New Characters (+/-)

I like the new characters. Each has their own style and special moves. I have not unlocked special characters as of yet. The main selectable new characters have cool looks, and genre specific styles that emulate where they come from like Juri is Korean and has a Hapkido/Tae Kwon Do look to her style. The negative I can see is that the new characters are archetypal versions of what we already have. The big muscular slow fighter, the fast quick light fighter and so on. Nothing added is really innovative other than their special moves.

Special Moves / Finishing moves (+)

Some of the finishing moves are absolutely hilarious and great to taunt your friends with. An example is Hakan; this fat slow guy that resembles a hippo. Some of his finishing moves I have tried out are awesome. He slimes himself up so when he fights hes slippery. He uses that slime to do some cool finishing moves on people. I have not tried every character out, but have seen some of the moves watching friends play this in the arcade.

Tactics: (+)

You could go into this doing the same combo over and over and quickly see that you would have your butt handed to you. This iteration of the Street Fighter series rewards you for tactics in that there is more damage done when you pull off the harder moves and not spam your opponent with them repeatedly.

Summary:

Overall this is a fantastic fighter to have in your arsenal of games. The price makes it even more appealing. I highly recommend it!

I just wanted to address some of the main complaints I see with regards to this game.

Apparently, some folks out there who purchased the original Street Fighter 4 have a problem with "paying for the same game twice".

Some folks think that they "wasted their money" on the original SF4, because Super SF4 is better.

Others think that this is nothing more than "Capcom's attempt to milk a franchise and rip off its customers."

I can understand the cynicism n this day and age, but it's unwarranted here,

-You aren't "paying for the same game twice", because of the ridiculous amount of additional content they've added. 10 brand new characters is major. Most franchises don't even add 10 new characters in a SEQUEL, let alone an update. PLUS gameplay revisions and all new ultras for the existing cast that can completely change the way the old characters are played. PLUS a more social online atmosphere thanks to lobbies, team battle, and the upcoming free DLC tournament mode. There's a lot of stuff here that wasn't here before...

-You didn't "waste your money" on the original SF4 because IT WAS A GREAT GAME, AND YOU ENJOYED IT. The original SF4 was a fantastic, genre-reviving game with infinite replay value and appeal. The past 14 months of intense beat downs, tournaments, hype, and discovery were well worth the $60 we paid for it. Purchasing Super SF4 won't change that. Especially since the knowledge you earned over the past year will serve you very well in this new game.

-This isn't "Capcom's attempt to milk a franchise and rip off its customers", because so much of the ingredients to this feast were based on fan requests. Online lobbies? Fans demanded it. Better balance? Fans demanded it. Street Fighter 3 characters? Fans demanded it. Listening to classic character themes during regular battles? Fans demanded it. The list goes on. Capcom simply saw the demand, and provided the supply. Sure, it would have been great if this massive cornucopia of fighting were available in the original SF4, but unfortunately Capcom doesn't have a magic wand that creates fighting games out of thin air. Limited time and resources forced them to split the costs and risks over two separate releases (remember, the original SF4 was a huge gamble that Capcom wasn't sure would be a success.)

In the end, it's all just business. In February 2009, Capcom released a game called Street Fighter 4. I paid 60 bucks, and in return got way more than 60 bucks worth of value for it. Both sides profited.

Fast forward to April 2010 as Capcom now approaches me with the similar proposition. Pay them 60 bucks in exchange for more than 60 bucks worth of enjoyment. I see no reason why I shouldn't pull the trigger again.

Oh wait...you mean to tell me, it's not 60 bucks? It's even CHEAPER?

Well, maybe we need to reconsider who exactly is ripping off whom here...

This joystick is amazing. I bought a PS3 awhile back, and needed another controller. I didn't feel like shoveling out $ for a second Sony controller. After searching I found this one. I was skeptical at first because the price was so low. "How good could it be?" I thought. Well, it was worth it. The controller looks awesome when plugged in all light up with a lava lamp effect. It works well as the Sony controller and even has a handy turbo button. The only thing that some people may not like is that the controller is made of a slipper plastic. If you have problems gripping, it may be difficult. However, I have severe arthiritis in my hands and I have no problem using this controller. This is more than worth the price.

I had mistakenly assumed that this had six-axis support and purchased it. I decided to keep it because I already had two six-axis controllers and needed a spare controller (for bomberman and commando). The buttons work great, and the red isn't as distracting as the blue version. I had no problems adjusting and using this controller. It is definitely worth the price just be sure you do not need six-axis support for the games that you will be using this controller for.

Wow! They "went" there...

If you like the rail-shooter genre, this game is worth a look. Think "House of the Dead", but with ecstatic Japanese schoolgirls of varying ages. This game uses a relationship-type gameplay for the scenes in between the shooting parts. It is almost entirely in Japanese, but if you pay enough attention, it's easy to figure out the answers to a girls questions by reading her facial expressions. I can't read any Japanese and can only slightly understand what is heard, but again, the expressions are key.

You wield a pheromone gun and blast screaming, pointing girls out of your way so you can ultimately focus on one of 4 main female love interests. Your "secondary" weapon (triangle button if on PS3) is usually a grenade in most of these types of games, but here, it puts you in a lonely dimension that's just you and whatever girl you triangled on. Here, you, uhh... "blast" specific parts of her body to make her blush and eventually scream out in ecstacy. I call that "Pokémon-ing" them. You collect these girls and their present clothing type in a running inventory, viewable through the main menu. Go for the teachers!!! They're so hot and their screams are so much funnier. I recommend NOT playing this game secretly, as if someone walked in on you, they'd think the worst>.<

It's a hilarious game, perfect for parties with alcohol and open minds. I love it!

This game uses the Playstation Move controller, though a standard controller works too, just not precise like a "gun" would be. It does NOT use the PSMove Navigational controller for anything necessary.

I've been meaning to get this game for a long time, after hearing about its port to the PS3. Now that I have it, I can't put it down. Its theme is the complete antithesis of typical rail shooters out there. Gameplay is absolutely the same as any other rail shooter: difficult on the controller, smoother with the Move, and delightful with a Move lightgun. If you're buying this game, though, you're not doing it for the quality gameplay.

Even though i don't understand the Japanese language, the game is not that hard to understand as Menu is in English and the Missions aren't too complicated either. The biggest point for me is the addition of "Full Metal Panic!" characters and mechas.

I recommend it to every fan of the Mecha-genre!

Just because it's turtle beach, doesn't mean quality. The black portion is hollow plastic. When pushing the metal rods into the base, I thought I broke it from the loud cracking sound. It doesn't even sit flush on the desk, one side of the metal bar is raised off the desk. Does it work? Yes! That's why it gets 1 star. It holds my headset. The quality is just down right terrible.

For those who have played any of Sony's SingStar franchise, you won't really be surprised by what is on this disc. While it is a little different than the PS2 SingStar titles which are all organized around a theme like Pop, Rock, or Country it is just like the first PS3 SingStar that gives you a mix of songs from a number of different genres. In some ways this is a good thing for those who like a number of different genres, but you always run the risk of having songs or genres you don't like being added into the mix. I know personally I found songs I didn't like or just didn't know on the game, but nothing that would cause me to not recommend it.

Also the disc supports disc swap with the other PS3 SingStar and any of the songs that you downloaded from the SingStore with the first PS3 title. The SingStore has hundreds of various songs that you can download whenever. The song mix could be better for the North American audiences, but there is a wide range of genres that you should be able to find something that suits your taste. The major flaw of a release like this, and why I rate it a four, is that with a system like the SingStore it seems unnecessary to release a new disc based game every so often when you could just upload the content to have users download as they pleased, instead of being forced songs you may not really want. Still though, if you love singing and have friends that do as well, this makes for a great party game to have fun with and with something like karaoke more songs are always welcome.

I was never really into karaoke, but I love this game. It is very easy to use and a ton of fun. My family plays it almost every Friday night. There is a wide variety of music, so there is something for everybody.

I have thoroughly enjoyed SingStar Volumes 1 and 2 for the PS3. I love the feature to download more songs and the ability to switch discs without restarting the game. I wish the next volume would come out and that there were continual updates to the online store (granted I have already bought probably 90 songs).

I like the mix of genres and time periods of the songs. I wish there were more country artists and 1950-6-'s music, maybe some show tunes or old standards too! I suppose they don't all have videos...but I bet Sony could solve that.

My friends have enjoyed coming over to play the game, and even the most shy guests will sing because you can control the volume of the video and the mic volume well. We like the challenges that are available to play in groups plus the head to head singing challenge.

The game came fast and I bought extra microphones separate, it was cheaper this way. The game is very fun and my family enjoys playing it.

this is a blast. i know you can buy the music through their online store. but it is worth it to buy all the games and switch the games. you save money on the songs when you buy the different games, as well as saving storage on your gaming platform.
